We have been using Cleaning Services for about 4 months now and are extremely happy with the work they do. We were hesitant at first having strangers in our home and also thinking our standards may be too high for them. We had no reason to worry. Carrie was delightful at our introductory meeting and the ladies cleaning are very professional, respectful and thorough in their work. I think the price is reasonable too. WE have had this services for about 5 months. The ladies work together very well. At about the 3rd month we began seeing things like bathroom counter had deep scrapes in the stone which was caused from sliding things across the counter. We reported and asked them not to slide anything across any furniture or counters. About month 4 I noticed the paint at the bottom of my stairway is chipped off from them hitting the vacuum on the wall, we also saw that our stainless refrigerator is so scratched from using a rough towel for cleaning. I then called the office and requested a supervisor to come to the house. They sent a very nice girl who could not have been 20 years old. I then received a call 4 days later stating that the damages where just normal wear and tear from cleaning. Our home is not even 2 years old. We had another cleaner before who did not damage our home in the 1 1/2 years he cleaned. Our refrigerator is ruined on the outside and it is less than 2 years old. I asked for the manager to call me and have never heard from her, it has been 2 weeks. The ladies are always in a hurry, In my opinion that is why these things happen .Oh the office will get back to you but do not take responsibility for the damages caused by their employees. I am a business owner myself We carry insurance to cover damages caused by our employees. We would never just brush the customer off with an answer like that. I am considering a small claims case in order to pay for all the damage to my home. Please don't be fooled by the first months of service and check your homefor damage. read more

Not a fan! It is October 20th and I have been exchanging emails with the scheduler and the owner of this company since September 13th about a sink that Cleaning Services broke in my home. They have refused to take responsibility. I first asked that they come take a look, they would not. We have asked them to please reimburse us the price of a new sink, still denying culpability. If they had just apologized and made it right, I would not have felt compelled to write a review, but that didn't happen. They did just an ok job of cleaning but I paid (a higher rate than I've ever paid a housekeeper before) the fees they asked because I felt better knowing they were a legitimate business in case anything were to ever happen. That has not done me any good. I have a new housekeeper who is not charging me as much and does a much better job, but still don't have a working sink. I'm sorry, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. read more

I have appreciated their flexibility rescheduling services around vacations and holidays; they are easy to get a hold of. 99% of the time the cleaning job is very good and thorough. Unprofessional, poor service, ridiculous business practices, unhappy customer, will never use again, could not recommend them for cleaning. A week before Christmas I contacted Cleaning Services to get a price quote on cleaning two and a half baths and a small kitchen at my townhouse in South San Jose. The sales person gave me a price range of $75 to $100. Imagine my surprise when I receive an invoice form the company for $133.00. $128 for the cleaning and a five dolor invoice fee. But let's start at the beginning of the service (or lake thereof). The cleaning crew of three arrived on time without a work order, invoice, sales receipt, or authorization to work form. The lead did not introduce herself and the three women just kind of strolled into the house. The work was done in a timely manner with poor attention to detail and some obvious spots that where left un-cleaned. The three ladies packed up after an hour and ten minutes and left with barley a word and again, no invoice or any other kind of documentation that they were there, how long they were there, what they had done, or what the total amount for the cleaning was. The company called me and requested a credit card number for payment. When I disputed the amount that they charged me that was out of the price range we had discussed and explained my dissatisfaction with the work done I was totally ignored. The manager of the company totally dismissed my dissatisfaction. She gave me ten dollars off the bill plus waved the ridiculous five dolor "invoice fee". So now I am stuck with a bill that was over the price I consented to and have to pay or face a collection agency. read more

I have been using this cleaning service for quite a while...at least 2 years. At the beginning, they were GREAT!! I was satisfied with the quality of work but then the service began to lag... I was a monthly call in customer and started to notice that they the cleaning was not as thorough as it once was. One time, they completely did not clean the dressers in my son's room and completely ignored my girls room. Another time they left a water bottle filled with cleaner in one of my twins crib ( which my 2 year old found, when I put her in for her nap)! When I called them on both these occasions, they were apologetic and offered to come back to clean the neglected areas.... I had already cleaned the areas in question so what was th point of them returning?? I thought I would be offered a small discount the next time they came, but they said they could not do that. Then they "went over " their scheduled hour of cleaning once and said I owed more money!! I had to argue with a few people to get that " extra fee" waived and didn't like that I had to go through hoops to get that resolved. My husband hasn't been happy with them for some time, but I had honestly been too busy to try and find another cleaning service. Well, I can finally say I am done with this cleaning service. I called and set up our monthly cleaning for this past Thursday. We left the door unlocked as I had to work but asked them to call me as soon as they were finished. I never received a call and was so busy at work, I just forgot about it until I got home... excited to walk into a clean house! Well, I received a call from my husband letting me know they never came!!! We had guests coming over the next day for a dinner party and I had to work the next day!! I left a message and received a call on Friday morning with an apology about " forgetting to put us on the schedule"... and even though they were booked for Friday, they MAY be able to get us in to get our house cleaned... That wasn't going to work, as my toddlers were at home and it was pouring rain. What I was most annoyed with was the Cleaning service never offered a discount or something to make up for this inconvenience... Cleaning Services came to my house Tuesday to clean. I had surgery and needed the help while recovering. They were recommended but still I did not have high expectations. Boy, was I wrong! I am very happy with the Cleaning Services work. They originally came out 6 months ago to do a deep cleaning service. Were were very happy with the service. I have now set up a monthly cleaning and they have cleaned once. Overall very happy. We also had them do the full window cleaning. The windows and screens looked great. My brother-in-law walked into the sliding glass door as he thought it was open! He is fine. I would not recommend the Gilroy office. I have had them in my home a couple of times. Each time the price is higher. I have a 5 bedroom home with 2 occupants. Most of the home isn't even used. I saw no justification for increasing the price. Each time they came they damaged the baseboards with their vacuum even after it was pointed out to them. The master shower was not cleaned thoroughly the last time and when I called for them to come back each time they pushed the date out and eventually never did show up. I did recently call them to schedule a total house cleaning again and kept being told someone will call me back to schedule. I have made 3 attempts over two days time with no return call. Guess they don't want to come back. They are not the only game in town so I will not be calling them again. Save yourself some time, money and grief and call a more responsible housecleaning service. I have never written an unfavorable review about a company before but I felt compelled to let you know about this one. read more

We used Cleaning Services for a 1 time pre-party cleaning. The service was very prompt in getting back to me and gave me pricing fees up front so I did know what we were getting in to. We had our windows washed and the house cleaned from top to bottom. They were running early which was nice and called to let us know. There was a team of 3 ladies who were extremely polite and professional. They did a wonderful job. We did not think our house was very dirty. We'd only been living here 2 years and it is still pretty new but they found dust we didn't know existed! They were able to get the hard water ring stain out of our toilets which I would have paid just for that alone. The window cleaners were a different team and were also very nice and professional. They did a great job as well. The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because bill was pretty pricey. As I said before, they gave me an hourly quote up front but I was still a bit stunned by the expense. They are a great company that I would recommend and will probably use again in the future. I have a feeling on a regular basis it may be a better deal so that is probably the way to go. read more
