It's with mixed emotions about my car tune up today....love my new car and got great service from check in staff- a video of my overall inspection due on my new Kona. It took about an hour which was great as I waited My issue is the condition of my car on return: My seat lowered all the way; my support cushion thrown on passenger side: seats needed readjusting; no mats in my car to protect floors. I am spoiled as Nissan was my car place for tears and they treat your car with kid gloves. Paper disposable mats; asked if I wanted it washed ? Have had to check in with them to see when my car was done instead of them being proactive. Started car after change and check engine light came on. Asked them about it - they stated it wasn't requested to check out. Last time wouldn't do car wash because it was too cold - this time "damaged trim" prevented it. We were an older couple on our way to Minnesota from Wisconsin for Thanksgiving when my low tire pressure warning came on in my new Elantra. We pulled in to ask for tires to be checked and air put in. The technician was very nice and started checking the rear tires when a woman stopped him and rudely told him he couldnt give us air unless we service our car there . I explained that my husband normally does this but had a stroke the week before. She didnt care and continued to argue with us. I called Hyndai Corporate and they noted this and suggest I talk to dealer GM He was not available but a nice young tech named Austin filled and checked our tires. Definately she is not someone who appreciates Hyundai customers and knows the meaning of kindness and customer service. Her rude and cold attitude was uncalled for, especially since this is the 6 th Hyundai I have purchased and it shouldnt matter where you take it in emergencies for somethings as simple as air and is under new car warranty . read more

I am a 60 year-old female. I purchased a Tuscon from Luther Bloomington Hyundai on a Thursday in August 2024. Josh Thomes was the salesperson and Luke Burfield was the finance rep. Purchase went as expected - Josh was kind and Luke was the typical slick finance guy who made a big deal about getting me all the service agreements I wanted and still coming in under my dollar limit by $15. We signed the paperwork and I returned the following Monday morning to pick up my vehicle. The pick-up was uneventful. Later that same day, Luke called me, said there was an error on the paperwork, that I needed to come back with a check for $500 and sign a revised purchase agreement. I said I wasn't going to do that because that would take the price over my dollar limit. He said the only option was for me to pay it OR have some part of my service agreement removed. Either way, I would need to come in and sign a new purchase agreement immediately. Now, in hindsight, I should have refused and gone on my way. After all, I had my vehicle and a signed purchase agreement. Luke, however, was not offering an out - either I pay the $500 or he would have to revise the paperwork to remove the tire service portion and if I hadn't signed the revised agreement, it would appear the sale wasn't final. I didn't know what the repercussions would be if I didn't, so I drove back to the dealership. After making it clear that I felt taken advantage of and was unhappy, I had them remove the service for the tires and I left. Coincidentally, on my way home, I received a call from Alex Irlin, the General Manager, to ask about my purchase experience. I explained what happened. He understood, said he'd look into it and would get back to me. He never called back, even after I left him two additional voicemails. I also tried Josh, who until this point had been very responsive but now didn't return my calls. I took advantage of the multiple text and email requests asking for reviews to state my disappointment and still no response. I believe Luke and everyone at Luther Bloomington Hyundai missed a very simple opportunity and got away with taking advantage of a female buyer. What is $500 to a large car dealership? They could have easily eaten that amount, allowed me to keep my tire service package and I would have gone away happy and with the intent of being a repeat customer. Instead, months later, I still feel like 3 male employees of this dealership aren't a bit concerned about poor treatment of female buyers. I truly don't believe they would have handled this the same if I was a man. Ladies, be careful if you intend to purchase a vehicle at Luther Bloomington Hyundai. This used car group wasted my time. Salesman took my personal information, wanted to sell me a car after I made it clear I would be traveling from another state to pick it up within a few weeks time. He took my deposit, then his supervisor imposed "policies" over the phone, without documentation to stop the sale of a vehicle. Most dealerships with any professionalism will at least overnight paperwork. This dealership will apparently not work with out of state buyers willing to fly in, pay cash unless it with three days of making a deposit. This is unrealistic for any professional. They will not take your money even if you offer to pay asking price. Don't waste your time. In my opinion Hyundai dealerships should not sell high-end cars if they cannot deal with professionals who have jobs and children. read more

Getting a new car is always a life changing decision. My current Murano four years old. We took a drive through Hyundai lot Sunday and looked at a couple Tucsons. Beautiful mid size SUV. Monday I went in with all that I needed to get a new car. Andy in sales was in the #1 seat as you enter. A welcoming hello and friendly smile to which I replied. He immediately started to assist us. and brought up the car I thought I would purchase. We drove it I had a price in mind. I came back from the test drive deciding to upgrade to the Tucson Limited and low and behold she was setting on the show floor. Smokey gray and black interior. The moment I sat in that car I knew I had arrived. There is no greater thrill than seeing them drive your purchase off the show floor. He worked with me on my trade, the cost to purchase or lease and my decision to lease put me in a luxury car for a great saving from my current car note . The dealership has an aura that is peaceful but busy, impeccably clean, sales desks right in front and sales that hold your hand through the process I was treated like a guest and felt we were well taken care of. From sales to management to finance (Luke) I breezed through the process and Andy took precious time to explain the technology of my SUV. I really don't understand how a dealership does not have vehicles to test drive before you buy? How is it that people buy cars without test driving them is odd to me. After requesting a test drive of the Ioniq 5, I had some email conversations with Tracy at this dealership and her introductory email had three bullet points: - Prompt and courteous responses to your questions and concerns - Competitive, upfront, no-haggle pricing - no negotiation needed! - A quick and easy buying experience at the dealership Prompt responses are true but courteous was not. She had to make it clear that 60 other clients ordered cars without driving them. Like she was making a statement that just because 60 other people did a thing that I should do it too. Nope! Competitive and upfront. Not at all. She didn't care about earning my business. She just shrugged me off and didn't try to figure out a way to get me a test drive. Quick and easy buying experience. Absolutely not! Can't buy something that isn't there or available to test drive. Poor management in that department. This dealership should have demo vehicles available. Tesla does. They have quite a few variations actually. But this dealership can't even have a car available. They lost me before I even stepped foot into the building. I purchased my car on August 31st and elected to receive the extended warranty, which was framed as something I can cancel at anytime. I decided that it's not something that I needed a couple of weeks later and called to cancel. I was told it will not change my payment but instead my term loan length. It was not explained when I signed the paper that this would be the case. It changed my payment when I agreed to it so one would assume it would change the payment when it's canceled. Aside from this, I've had to reach out to the dealership THREE times to even speak to someone about my questions. I'm extremely upset about this and I feel like this information was not properly disclosed or explained at the time of purchase. This is the 3rd car I've purchased from a Luther dealership and this is by far the worst experience I've had with them. I use this place for servicing of my vehicle. Pretty much typical of a well run dealership servicing department: friendly, knowledgeable people, free shuttle service to local area, nice waiting lounge with TV and free beverages and snacks. Like almost all servicing departments you should know what you want or need, as they will suggest/recommend stuff you may or may not need at that time. I do like to follow the recommended maintenance for my vehicle but usually push out the services a few extra miles. If you want to save a few bucks, change out you own engine and AC air filters for about $28 seconds for the parts and your own labor, as it will cost use a lot more ($128 in my case) if you have them do it. They do very typical large mark ups on parts, but they all do. On the plus side they do check every time if there are any recalls on your vehicle, which I got some free servicing on one time. Included in serving was my car was washed and lightly vacuumed. And they left a packaged cookie for me in my car as a treat! read more

I bought my Jeep Wrangler at this dealership because it had the options used I wanted. I bought a extended service plan, I needed service on my Jeep and wanted to take it to them where I bought it and had a good service with the sale. I have been loyal and bought my other Jeep at a Ford dealership before and they always took care of me for all service for even any warranty issues regardless that it was a Jeep or not. I made an appointment and waited a month an a half to get in have this Luther Dealership to tell me I should go to a Jeep dealer and they couldn't help me and even if they would it would have to go to a Jeep dealer anyway and it would take forever Making up excuses not to get my service done there. I bought a 2020 Hyundai Kona a year ago and purchased the service package. Arrived today for MY 2nd service in a year. Mileage 9666 I was informed they wanted to charge me an additional $135 to rotate tires and whatever else they could think of that apparently was not included in the 3 year/$1100 service package that I bought. Not sure if I paid $1100 or more. I will check my sales contract could be as much as $1700. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY SERVICE PACKAGE. You will be told it covers service for 3 years and when you arrive for service they will tell you it does not cover everything. . A couple months ago when I got a nail in my tire the service department wanted to charge me almost twice what DISCOUNT TIRE charged me for the exact same tire. The tire was not in stock and I would hv to return when it arrived. They left the nail in the tire and told me tire would probably be flat when I returned from my out of town work trip. Yes THANK YOU! No. I Do NOT recommend purchasing a service package from this dealership. You might want to rethink any extended care package. It probably only benefits the finance department and is of little benefit to you. My experience with the salesman was exceptional. I took my car here for an inspection and servicing in anticipation of a summer road trip to Canada. Apparently thinking they had me over a barrel, they attempted to charge me $500 for a tie rod repair and $200 for simple lightbulb replacements. I replaced the $20 worth of lightbulbs myself and took my car to a different mechanic who was able to repair the tie rod for $260. I called the dealership to have my care serviced. I asked the service advisor from their service department what the charges would be. I was told twice that my service was covered under the maintenance plan ( I have a 2021 Tucson ) . I arrived at the dealership, I was told a completely different story ! I was informed by both the dealership management and advisor that they do adhere to what I was informed. This was their service advisor that informed me that there would be no charge under my plan that she looked up. The dealership manager was rude and dismissive when I inquired as to why this is . Don't assume with this dealership that you will get an honest answer to what it will cost to have your car maintained or repaired. They know you will either have to pay it or wait weeks to get another appointment at another dealership that's more honest with it's customers. Luther lost a $35,000 sale do to their attitude toward women. As I write this I'm actually still surprised that I need to. I went in having an issue with one tire which led to needing all 4 replaced. Staff was kind, but pricing was sky high and the tires weren't in stock, I was in on a Friday. I was told the tires would be in come Monday that week. I never. Heard back. I should add in i had warranty on the issue tire as well, I had the same tire repaired here 2 times before. Leading up to this date I had been needing to fill air in the issue tire for 2 weeks waiting for this appointment just to have to await til Monday. I can understand this, but then never getting a call back Monday or. Ever, truly shocked me. I had to purchase 4 new tires elsewhere. I've never had such a terrible experience purchasing a vehicle. We had to sit and wait 7 hours to talk to the financial team (sure ok, I can wait). I wrote a check on the spot for the full sum of the vehicle. No financing. They cashed the check immediately no problems. 5 months later I STILL do not have the title for the vehicle. One time when I called they tried to tell me I sold them a car? I think Luis is the name of one of them purposefully dodging my calls. I called every day for days asking about the title and no one could figure it out. I still after they told me they "figured out" and "submitted the paperwork" do not have the title. I've never dealt with such an awful car purchasing experience and my attorney is planning further action. Enjoy being formally reported to the state DMV as well. read more

Great service and very prompt on the pick up of my car at my workplace at 10am, but the service took longer than I thought it would be as I got my car back at 5:20pm, which my work day ended at 5pm. Must have not gotten to my car right away as the diagnosis and fix would not take the full 6+ hours to complete. Issue got solved and that is what counts though. Overall I am happy with the service and the added benefit of pick up and drop off service during these COVID times. read more
