Marty and his crew did a masterful job restoring the interior to pristine condition. He also gave me a few hints on how to prevent rodents from getting into the car if it is unused for any length of time. Marty, the owner, is extremely personable and easy to deal with. I got lost driving out to his shop and he drove over to meet me and drove the car to his shop. (My daughter gave me a ride home.) The work was completed when he said it would be and the cost was quite reasonable. All in all, I would have no problem whatsoever recommending Marty's shop to anyone wanting exceptional quality at a reasonable price.

I was looking for my car to be detailed so I could sell it and he made it look brand new! I almost wanted to keep the car after because it looked so good. He was able to clean all the dirt and grime from between the seats, stuff that other detail shops have left behind. He's not the cheapest but he's definitely not the most expensive in the area. Definitely worth every penny. He's very personable and worked well with my schedule. I will definitely be bringing my other cars back to him after seeing the quality of his work.

I brought my car in and they diagnos my car that the other dealership was incapable of doing. They also accidentally broke one of my spark plugs, and instead of just replacing it and not telling me they called right away and informed me that a tech has accidentally broke a spark plug so they went ahead and replaced all 5 at no cost at all. The staff is very friendly and Informative. The location of this dealership is easy to locate and navigate to and around. They have a lot of used and new cars at very competitive prices. I'd highly recommend this gm Chevy dealership to anyone in the twin cities area. And to stay away from lupient Chevrolet.

He is a manipulator and literally puts you into the highest mileage car and then laughs as you drive away. I had the car for literally 2 hours when I realized I have no A/C, no heat, the windshield wiper reservoir had a hole in it so the entire gallon of fluid was on my garage floor. Heavy smell of antifreeze...THANK GOD he sold me the $2800 extended warranty right? My husband and I drove to the dealership to express our concerns and he confronts us in the parking lot, cussing us out telling us he is getting pissed off having to deal with it. What did he expect? Take my car in to get it fixed....pick it up, get home and we notice another issue. Finally get told that the timing chain is stretched and about to snap. Thousands of dollars to repair. Message David because he just told me days ago to come back and he would refund me my down payment. Told him I want my money back. He send me a nasty messages, deletes it and then blocks me. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. So I reach out to the General Manage George McGuire. What a peach he was! Starts yelling at me yelling me it's my fault that I am having problems. He sold it to me "AS IS" with an extended warranty. Even went as far as to say "Now you have a broken car. If you're driving home today and it breaks into 10 pieces, now you have a 10 piece broken car". And this guy is the actual owner. Way to stand behind your cars and help people. I should have known. The reviews on David, George and Shakopee Chevrolet are horrible. If you have had a bad experience, send me a message. I would love to work with you! Do yourself a favor......go elsewhere! If you are a single mom or anyone who cannot afford a bunch of problems, stay clear of this dealership

I bought a Chevy truck from Marty's (Al) about 3 weeks ago. A rear tail light was out, and I…read morethought it would just be me needing to get a bulb. I could feel the brakes weren't in great condition, but I didn't say anything. It came with one key. No fobs. I was told I could get a universal fob and it would be easy to program. They gave me a really old fob while I was there to take with me. So I failed on a number of things: I should have sat down with Al and a list of things I felt I would have to do with my pickup and then negotiated from there. The tail light ended up being a bad socket, and the other one went out after 3 days so I had to replace both sockets. I had to have brakes done within 2 weeks. Keys and fobs have to be purchased from Chevy, and they were $85 (for one key) and $140 (for ONE fob) plus $80 to program them (a locksmith or dealer has to do this, you can't). So, I should have tried to negotiate the price based upon these things I already knew. Maybe they would have brought it down, but I don't know. I mentioned that the tail light was out and Al told me "that's routine maintenance" - well yes but then knock the price down some for the routine maintenance that I have to do right away. The check engine light came on about an hour after I left. It had 2 codes: one was a sensor, the other was an $800 part for the catalytic converter. So I was told when I walked onto the lot that the carfax value of the vehicle was about $2,200 over their asking price. Now I've put over $2,000 into it with all of the miscellaneous things it has needed plus parts and labor. Also, he had the Carfax report pulled up and was not upfront with me that the vehicle had had moderate damage until I noticed it when sitting by his desk. I had our mechanic to do a once-over on it, and he thought it was a sound vehicle and in good shape. All in all, when buying used cars from a place like Marty's, rather than a dealer, here are my recommendations: get down and look for rust in the wheel wells and under the vehicle. Really test out the brakes when you drive it. Check the fluids and see how they look. Get the Carfax report and read it thoroughly, while you are there. Negotiate. I do understand that I'm not buying a new vehicle and routine maintenance things will likely have to be done. I don't know what to do about the check engine lights - obviously they clear the codes and then sell you the vehicle without telling you the light was on. If you asked, would they be honest and tell you what codes they had cleared? I'm not sure.
