The engine in my son's 2012 Hyundai locked up a couple of weeks ago, so my son had it towed to Complete Auto. It was going to cost between somewhere in the range of $4,000-$6,000 to replace the engine, and he still has a small loan on the car. The team at Complete auto (Nick & Matt) did some searching and found that there was a technical service bulletin (TSA) on his year and make of vehicle that addressed the engine failure. Long story short, they suggested that we have it towed to a Hyundai dealership to see if they would warranty it, and...THEY DID! Complete Auto "could" have not told us about the service bulletin and possibly had a big pay day. It's very hard to find that level of honesty in ANY business these days. They might not always be the cheapest, but they have my business and recommendation because of their quality work, honesty, over-all value, and willingness to help people out in any way possible. Overview: Sales reps…read moreare very pushy. Customer service and follow-up is horrible. Prices are decent, not much selection. Explanation: I have to admit, I've had better experiences at Wal Mart. I was looking to get a nice black, but used Audi in the 10,000 price range. When I came across one on their website, I was very interested, and submitted an inquiry through their website, www.axtmanauto.com. I was called within 10 minutes from a sales representative, and he asked me some questions and asked if he could pre-qualify me for the purchase of the Audi. I gave him the go-ahead, and I was approved. I met with him later that day, and test drove the car and really liked it. I decided to go into the office and see what we could get set up for the trade-in value of my pickup. Over the phone, we talked about a higher price for the trade, but when he printed off the sales contract, he of course, lowered it a good $1,500. I looked it over and then I gave him a thank you. I wanted to talk it over with my wife, but didn't want to do it in front of him. When I talked about stepping out for a moment to talk it over with my wife, he got somewhat defensive and asked, "How come? Is it something you can't say in front of me?" I just wanted to talk it over with my wife because he offered a low trade-in amount. So I told him that I was expecting more for the trade-in amount. I was then able to negotiate a little higher trade-in value, but it wasn't much. I owed money on the truck yet, so he advised I take $75 more out on the loan, just in case there were any discrepancies and they would pay me back the leftover amount after they pay my current loan holder off. He automatically added in a third party auto warranty contract to the sale, and really pushed it hard and advised it, so I decided to go with it. I ended up purchasing the car with the warranty, and trading the truck in. After I got everything out of my truck and moved it all over to the car, we drove off. When we bought the car, it was a cloudy day and it had dust on it. We had the car washed the next day, and wow, the car was practically covered entirely in buff swirls. (It's black, so it shows up like a neon sign) Also, the driver's door was all sorts of dinged up. It's going to cost around 300-400 dollars to get it repaired. A couple days later, I realized I forgot a white gold ring in the ashtray of the truck I traded in. I called them, and the sales rep said he would contact the detailing shop to see if they found it, and he would call me back. He didn't call me back, so two days later, I called again. Got ahold of a different guy, and he said he would do the same thing. Still didn't get a response back... I called one more time, and they told me the guy that would know was on vacation, and they would leave him a note. The guy never called, so I pretty much gave up and ate the few hundred dollars on the cost of the ring. About a month later, I called asking where's my refund on the trade-in loan overpayment. (Since the loan was paid of for 3 weeks by then) The guy sounded a little flustered and transferred me to someone else. The person said he was the one who handled the books, and he was just cutting a check for me and it was on his desk. (Wow! What a coincidence...) I did end up getting my money back. A couple weeks later, I sent them an email to cancel my third party warranty because it had mediocre reviews, and I have a mechanic that does excellent work at a real good price. They didn't contact me for five days. So, I decided to call them. They said they would start the process and send out the paperwork. They didn't, and a few days later I called again. They said I needed to talk to the guy that sold the car, but he wasn't available. They told me they would leave him a message. A few days later, I called again. I finally got to speak to the sales person, and he of course, asked me why and tried to get me not to cancel it. I told him my email explained it all, and I would like to cancel it. After all of that, he said he was going to send me the paperwork for cancellation that day. About 2-3 days later, I get a phone call from one of the reps and he asked where I needed to have my cancellation form sent to. I told him, and it finally was sent out. So, that's my story. A very long one unfortunately. I would not recommend anyone to buy there, and I will personally never buy there again.

The team was very thorough with the diagnosis of the main issue, which turned out to require a new engine. The team listened to me even though the repair was to cost about what the car was worth - due to some other things going on in my life, I just wanted my car back in working order. The service team diligently pursued finding a used replacement engine for me to attempt this repair, but were very honest that both replacements had the same issue at least as bad as my existing engine. I appreciate that the team went the extra mile trying to get my car back into a shape that would meet my goal of being able to drive it for a few more years, and conferred with me each step of the way. In the end, I paid only for the work they had done to diagnose the issue and get my car starting reliably again. I would trust these folks with any repairs I need in the future for certain. They listened to me, were honest about the issues they encountered, and gave me good advice through every step.

I dropped my car off for a front end alignment, which they charge $159.95 for. Fair enough…read more I was told that during their pre-alignment inspection they discovered that the passenger side outer tie rod end was worn and needed to be replaced in order for the alignment to be done. This makes sense, so I said ok go ahead and do it. I was then told that with the alignment and tie rod end replacement, the total cost would now be $565.04! I decided to do it because my car was already there in the shop and it needed to be done, however this price is insane for the work that was done. They charged me $98.92 for the tie rod end, which is a very large markup. They charge $239.81 PER HOUR for labor, which is completely crazy. I was charged for an hour of labor, when I know for a fact that changing out one single tie rod end should only take a decent mechanic 15-20 minutes. It is ridiculously easy. Finally, they charged me $57.83 for "RO Fees" which include recycling, environmental, shop supplies and hazardous waste disposal. This makes no sense to me because I had no fluids changed that needed disposal, and the only shop supplies they would have needed for a tie rod end and an alignment would be paper towels, maybe a dab of anti-seize, maybe a pair of nitrile gloves. Nearly $60 is straight up robbery for the job they did for me. Yes, they are friendly. Yes, I think the work they do is fine. What they charge, however, is not reasonable and I think they are taking advantage of the many people who need their car fixed and don't know a whole lot about mechanical work. This is why I try to do most of my own repairs, but some things (like alignments) a guy just can't do in his driveway.
