Mostly because who has the time?! I had heard from a friend about using professional organizers to help you unpack, so I immediately looked into it. I figured the room I'd need the most help with would be the kitchen and the master bath also had so many tiny products that needed organizing. Stephanie sent me a proposal and we were on our way. I at first thought the proposal was overestimated, but it turns out that it ended up pretty much being just right. It takes a LONG time to unpack and organize, especially when you have more stuff than you think. Stephanie and Melissa did an amazing job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. If you have the budget, I think this is an amazing use of money. Especially if you are like me and unpacking/organizing is just not your thing.

Heather works hard, keeps you working hard, but takes her lead from you. In other words, no worries about her coming in telling you what you "must" get rid of... instead, she helps you consider the pro-cons of keeping something and lets you decide. If you hang on to something, she helps you to come up with systems to keep things in an orderly and accessible place. Also, other organizers immediately wanted me to buy things (for example, expensive Pottery Barn wall system)-- Heather has worked with my many plastic tubs, ziplock bags, folders I already have, etc..... Working with Bee Organized was wonderful, they are professional, focused, patient, and skilled with organizing. I felt very comfortable with them in my personal space. We got so much done in 3 hours. The project was dealing with personal paperwork/filing chaos. We purged so much, and put a simple system in place that is thoughtful and maintainable for my ADHD brain. I never would have figured that out on my own. If you continually struggle with something like this, my advice is to stop torturing yourself and just get help. It seemed like an extravagant thing to do on my budget but actually it was the best decision ever, wish I had done this 20 years ago.
