After reading an article online talking about animal testing and beagles being the most frequently used dogs, my heart broke into a million pieces. I have the worlds cutest beagle and I looked at him and tried to picture companies keeping him locked up day and night and testing their products on him and hurting him. I said no more. I did some research and found Lush. Their mission statement regarding animal testing touched my soul and I am now obsessed. We but shampoo, conditioner, and soap here now, as well as lotions, chapstick, lip scrub etc. And, we even buy the naked products to limit our plastic use. The staff in store are incredible. Their knowledge and passion for their products is evident the moment you walk in. They will recommend s product specifically to meet your needs, whatever they may be. I can't say enough about Lush. My cousin first introduced it to me a few years ago, and since then I haven't gone back to using other cosmetic products! I get my body wash from here, deodorant, powders, and I also treat myself to body scrubs and bath bombs pretty frequently. I enjoy being able to come in here and have conversations with the employees (some of which do recognize me since I tend to visit quite often!), check out what's new and popular, and go home feeling pretty refreshed even without having used my products yet. The employees are incredibly nice and helpful, especially to those who have never been in the store before; they're encouraging of your questions, and know an awful lot about the products. A lot of the stuff they have is seasonal, such as their bath bombs and soaps, but most of it is there to stay for the time being. While the pricing may seem like a bit of an issue, take it as a lesson in conservation: if you watch how much you're actually using, their products can last a pretty long time (for example, I usually buy the Flying Fox bath soap, and the medium-sized bottle can usually last me 4-5 months at the very least). Their scrubs are pretty long-lasting as well. It's money well spent if you enjoy what you're buying! One of my favorite things about Lush is the free samples -- seriously, just ASK and the employees will probably suggest what they think you should try out, based on what you're buying. I love Lush and will probably be shopping there for a very long time! I support what causes they stand for (which also change with the seasons; around shark week they have offered products that hand over some of the funds to saving sharks, and their "charity pot" also donates money with every purchase), and love exploring the store every time I'm there. read more

Amazing. So, I travel for work, and I make an effort to go to Lush wherever I end up because each location is set up different. I really enjoy LUSH's products and the staff has an uncanny ability to always be helpful and knowledgeable about their products. This Buffalo location is pretty large in comparison to some locations I have been to (many!) and they always have almost everything in stock (with the exception of Don't Look At Me mask, but I think that's a given due to its short shelf life). Today was my first visit to the store since it has reopened and I instantly fell in love! The store layout is very appealing and easy to navigate. The staff is A-plus when it comes to customer service: easy to spot, many associates available, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, proactive, etc. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things! You can sample/demo anything you please! And you will NOT be disappointed in the products. They have scents, textures, styles, and sizes for all! I walked in here with the intention of spending $20 and ended up spending $130 (with some other products in mind I will come back for on a spectate visit); this was due to the amazing quality of the products and sales associates combined! I am a lush for Lush. Bet that hasn't been used before... For real though, this place is so amazing. Everything is made fresh and by hand and in a way that makes you crave more. No there are not drugs in their products. But maybe. I can't be sure. The scent as you walk in is overwhelmingly mystifying. All of their products are so bright and vibrant. They are quite expensive, perhaps the only drawback. But I've made this point in other reviews in regards to other expensive products. You pay for quality. This is worth it. Like any good Canadian, I have taken a solemn oath to love Lush (they are a Canada-based company). Well, that's not entirely true, but I do love Lush! Always have an amazing experience every time I walk into the store, because of the great staff and the fantastic products. I love to spoil my wife with Lush's yummy and fun bath bombs. The selection of bombs at the Galleria location is always full of the latest bombs - I like to surprise my wife with a new one (Avo Bath) along with her long-standing favourite (Twilight). The bombs are reasonably priced and, if you are like my wife, you can cut them in half to make them last longer (without diminishing any of the fun). We have bought the creamy and luxurious massage bars here, our favourite being the vanilla and jasmine bar. The smells are intoxicating and the bar goes on like melted butter on the skin. They leave the skin moisturized and feeling amazing. I can't say enough about the staff at this location. They are always incredibly friendly and helpful, no matter how busy the store gets. I can't gush enough about LUSH. The customer service associates working are very knowledgable and eager to share their wealth of knowledge and experiences with any product LUSH offers. I initially went to this store to try a shampoo bar (no packaging, natural ingredients, travel friendly) and let me just say how happy I am with this purchase. The ultimate shine bar was my first and it makes my hair so shiny and soft. Also it is a nice massage bar for the scalp although only 2 or 3 swipes on my head result in a frothy feminine scented rinse. Since the shampoo bar was such a success I decided to try some other, more moisturizing products including the Marilyn hair treatment and Retread hair conditioner. I have long blonde hair that has been severely over processed and is almost crunchy at the ends if left to air dry after only shampoo. The Marilyn hair treatment came highly recommended for a pre-wash hair treatment so it will be left on my hair to soak for a couple hours to try and reap the most benefits while Retread will be used as a daily deep conditioner on my ends. The Bubblegum lip scrub has become one of my favorite daily use products. I always use some after I brush my teeth to make my lips soft and supple. It helps any product I put on (including Vibrance and Believe lip colors or It Started with A Kiss lip balm) adhere beautifully and smooth. Also the Rose Water toner spritz is something I spray on my face daily after I get out of the shower after washing my face with Dark Angels. The Rose Water dries nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft and light. From reviews on the product the Rose Water can also be spritzed on your hair to make it smell nice and keep it smooth although I have yet to try I love the smell!! My skin had been breaking out lately more then usual so I bought Mask of Magmaminty which makes my skin absolutely glow!! I noticed how soft, clean and moisturized my face was after only 1 use and my acne started to clear up also. It's only been a few days using this and my skin feels amazing. To accompany this mask I bought Dark Angels to use as a daily and Mask of Magnaminty as a 2x - 3x week as a deep clean mask. The Dark Angels cleanser feels really nice when massaged on the face and rinsed off well (which from other reviewers seems to be an issue?) but I haven't used it long enough to fully reap the benefits. The last product I'd recommend is the Chou, Chou I Love You Toothy Tabs I just started using. It's really a tiny tablet that tastes horrible when breaking it up and when you start brushing becomes a frothy explosion in your mouth (so always use in shower or directly over sink) but then it's perfect! After I brushed my teeth with this product my mouth was refreshed and smelled like a rose (in a light fresh way not like I sipped on some Rose Oil). Also the next morning my teeth still felt clean compared to when I brushed with traditional name brand toothpaste where I always need to brush my teeth to feel clean immediately after I wake up (I still do brush immediately but my breath seems fresher than usualy using this product). Definitely something I would buy again and I can't wait to try the other flavors offered. Bottom line is LUSH is an amazing store that's open about all ingredients they use in their products. Now I pay attention to ensure I'm not buying cancer causing properties in something I slather on my body daily. All products they offer are reasonably priced compared to the length of use available from the purchases. Like Marina said "the employees make the store" but the products are amazing too. I am not a lush, but I do think that the girls working at Lush are lush. They are not necessarily lushes, but they are lush. Where I come from, lush was a pre-teen and teen term that was used to describe something delicious. I probably shouldn't give away my secret code words. I probably should just use them. What's funny is that this store is actually named after my version of this word! It's a British store (at least I think it is) with British newspaper quotes on the wall, and I've seen it on high streets in Oxford (my hometown), which makes it super cool to find it here. Now you have to understand, I don't buy scented anything, I don't ever walk into stores like this because the scents honestly give me a headache. But the girl I was in the Mall with dragged me in here, and made me smell a bunch of things, and I have to say they all smelled fantastic. Wickedly overpriced, but still fantastic. For the first time, I could definitely relate to why a lot of my female friends spend a lot of time and money on places like this and are really excited about them. To put it simply, I think a lot of girls I know would LOVE this place, probably a lot more than they realize they would. Some of the soaps and "bath bombs" were so interestingly-scented that it kind of blew my mind... and didn't even give me a headache. After I checked in, several people mentioned "bath bombs" to me and while I was inside the employees kept saying "bath bombs", so that must be their "thing" or a new thing... I am so out of the loop when it comes to feminine comforts and beauty products, but then I was never really in the loop really. But I guess after visiting this store I can finally say "I get it." Now, the employees are another matter. Yes they were cute, but more than that, they were some of the friendliest teenyboppers I've ever met. Maybe they weren't really teenyboppers, but more like college kids, nevertheless, there was none of that hipstery aloofness, there was none of that casual forced disdain for the world and everyone in it, they were just genuinely helpful, happy, warm and friendly people, the exact kind of people you'd love to be served by. They weren't in any way nonplussed by the fact that nothing was going to be purchased today. They seemed delighted to have us in the store even though there were plenty of other customers to fawn over. And they somehow managed to fawn over all of the customers simultaneously. Now if you don't like fawning, then maybe this wouldn't be your thing, but I thought they did it really impressively. I could not have envisioned them doing it any better. I always enjoyed lush products, but really became hooked recently after I visited this store. Molly helped my girlfriend find some goodies and chatted with me like we were besties. It was seriously so fun to gab and shop.. it's the kind of environment that I really appreciate. The store is teeny tiny and can get pretty crowded, so I make it a point to visit during the morning hours, before the crowd gets there. The products are all handmade and i do enjoy coming here and learning about new products. The first Lush I ever encountered was in a mall in Sydney, Australia in 2003. I bought a slab of the Rock Star soap to take with me while staying in hostels as we traveled the land. I loved that they will cut the soap specifically to the size (and price!) that you're looking for. Their containers back then were made of cardboard (not plastic, like today). The bubble gum scent of Rock Star still brings me back to Oz. The hostel bathrooms may have been dismal but my sweet smelling soap was certainly a luxury! In 2003, Lush was barely a thing in the US. But today, even Buffalo has one! I'm a firm believer that Buffalo is 10-20 years behind the rest of the country. Well, we're finally catching up to getting some cool chains in the area. Anyway, as cool as Lush is, and as cool as their employees are, I feel bombarded when I come in here. I stated that as much as I adore bath bombs (I do!) I don't have a suitable tub to use one in. Then I was steered toward the shower products. When really all I wanted to do was just look. And smell. And touch. And maybe if I felt inspired, buy something. But I found the 837 employees plus several customers in the tiny store to be just too much. It's 1000% sensory overload in the store. And if you can even get to the products without being bombarded by someone, it's pretty expensive. I'm not sure the price is worth it. They claim to have several natural products, no parabens, etc. but so does the locally owned health store, with much more reasonable prices. Went into Lush today after being recommended by a friend for skin care needs and I was wowed. I was helped by a sales associate who I believe was named Sam who referred to herself as the store's "skin care expert" and she certainly was. She sat me down and tested the recommended products on me and told me what was in them and what they do. I got the entire regimen she prescribed and though it was pricey, I think it was worth the money. Make sure your Sniffer is working before entering. Id take pretty much anything from Lush, especially Lavender, Rose, or Citrus, Herb bath bombs or Gift Card. Most of their Bath Bombs can be used more than once. Facial masks need to be refrigerated because of natural/organic ingredients and no artificial preservatives. I cannot gush enough about Lush (Harr Harr Harr)!! I've been here a few times now and every time I not only find something new to try but the staff is super friendly and helpful. I love that their products are cruelty free, natural and many even vegan. They offer the only skin care products that haven't caused me to break out and that actually work! All of their products smell amazing too! While they might seem expensive, most of their products will last a seriously long time, they are happy to provide free samples so you can test a product out before committing to it, and they also offer a free fresh face mask when you return five empty black pots to their store. I work at LUSH in south florida, and every time I go somewhere new, I always check to see if that town has a LUSH. This is the second LUSH I've ever visited out of my own region, and I have to say this is my favorite. I was immediately greeted by three girls who were also SUPER friendly. And they weren't overbearing about it either. I've been to LUSHes where I don't get acknowledged, and thats not supposed to happen ,at lush or any store. This has got to be my favorite store in the world to shop in! The place smells amazing, the employees are friendly, knowledge, and ready to give helpful advice and product suggestions. I'm vegan so I'm so happy that almost all of their products are vegan. They are fighting animal testing and do not use any ingredients that were tested on animals. They have compostable bags for all of their soaps, shampoos, and massage bars. They also do a lot to help a number of charities by donating all proceeds from their Charity Pot sales to many a worthy charities. LUSH is AMAZING! I just made a visit recently and was so excited when I got home to try all my new things! The best part? I only paid for two things and got a TON of samples! But, let me start off by saying I visited a few weeks ago and was discussing with one of the sales girls that I was looking for a facial cleanser for my weird sensitive but combination dry and oily skin. I ended up leaving with with Angels on Bear skin facial scrub. I really enjoyed the experience I had with it, and since I will be traveling for a few weeks I was looking to try some of their bar shampoo & conditioners. So I wandered in not quite knowing much about these things, but the salesgirl that I spoke with was so knowledgeable and friendly! I told her all of my concerns, likes and dislikes about products and she recommended some fabulous smelling things. We discussed many of the other products and how I'd like to try them and she offered a sample. She even gave me samples of similar things that I might like just incase I wasn't totally into what I was purchasing. She even gave me things I might like for my travels that I could check out before I leave. Everyone was awesome! All of my questions were answered and I felt this made my shopping experience much easier. I will definitely be going back and did I mention their products are amazing? The store is extremely small. However they always have about 27 workers. No matter what time of day you enter the store you'll always be able to have help. The workers are always very friendly and helpful. All different type of baths items are extremely cute and smell very good as well. I love this place A LOT. I'm really not big on being "brand loyal" but they have products that legitimately work and that I love. It's seriously part of what I imagine a store in heaven would be like. I've tried at least 5 of the face washes, 2 perfumes, different body washes, soaps, lotions, masks, etc. In the past there were usually only 2 employees in the small store and they have always been super cool and helpful. One girl I probably would have made friends with. But the last few times I've gone, I just want to push the employees out of my way. (Ooops, that was violent.) Sometimes, I want to look around without being asked a million questions. I have a pretty good understanding of the products and I hate being treated like a two year old.
