I first met Jaye (the owner) when she had her business in a rented space in Mountain View. Admittedly when I first met her I felt she was a bit cold - that was 4.5 years ago. Her work speaks for itself. There are very few people that are as skilled and knowledgeable as she about lash extensions and facial care. She is constantly teaching classes and going to workshops to keep her skills sharp. Now that she has her own shop Jaye has staffed the place with likeminded professionals, always learning and training together to stay above the rest. This was my first visit and I got a lash lift done by Silver. She was very gentle and professional. My lashes are usually straight and fall downward over my eyes, but Silver did a good job by giving my lashes a nice shape upward and realistic curl. Update (review for Selena) Jaye has been working nonstop since the opening of her own salon so she started training several lash stylist. I've known Jaye for many years know that she is a perfectionist and have very high standards. Trust me... I know because we argued about how perfect my eyebrow tattoo is. Long story short, I think it's okay but she isn't satisfied yet. I see her for a refill about every 2.5-3weeks because I like them super full with the signature dramatic. She was feeling very sick so she asked me if one of her other stylist can do it. Now, I know what you are thinking... I came to see her, I ONLY want her, but Yelp... Blah blah. But really, (no, seriously) Selena and Tammy are really good lash stylists too. Everyone she trains she won't let them take clients UNLESS she is comfortable enough to let them take clients. With that being said, I let Selena do my lashes and she did great. Selena review: she is super gentle and very careful. She takes her time and does a really good job. Honestly, she's more gentle than Jaye when washing lashes LOL! I will forever come to this salon until I die, trust Jaye and know that she won't give you a shitty lash job, even from her other stylists. Also... Think about it, if Jaye is over worked and sick and maybe die, then you obviously won't be seeing her. period. lol read more

So disappointed with Lash Allure. I got my first set of lash extensions applied by Annie. (See pic) She did a wonderful job and is pleasant to talk with. She used a sensitive adhesive on me since this was my first visit. I was so happy with my lashes. I returned for a fill 2 weeks later and unknown to me they used a different, stronger adhesive on me. They did not pre-test. I had a horrible reaction to this stronger glue. (See pic) I woke up in the middle of the night with swollen, extremely red, itchy eyes. In the morning I texted them to let them know about my reaction and was told at that time that a different glue had been used on my eyes. (See pic) When I went to the salon to find out what the different glues were and what the ingredients are, I was told that the sensitive glue is made by a company called Xtreme. Upon researching it, I found it to be a medical grade glue with ingredients on the bottle. The stronger glue they used on me is a Lash Allure glue. There are no ingredients listed on the bottle. All they could tell me about what is in the glue is from their training handbook. (See photo)It appears that it is similar to Gorilla Glue/Krazy Glue! I wish they would've informed me that they would be using a different/stronger adhesive when I returned for my 2nd visit. I would've told them to stick to the sensitive glue since it worked well the 1st time. I am going on my 3rd day of swollen, red, itchy eyes. Not the look I was going for and I hope it hasn't done any permanent damage to my eyes or natural lashes. I Have been buying products from Full Sense more than 10 years. Full Sense is a skin care shop in Tainan City Taiwan, and Jaye is one of the owner. I am an all-time fan of falsies and with short eyelashes and uneven eyelids, I'm always shy to show my bare face. Friends recommended that I try extensions out and with research, that's how I found this holy grail. For first time users, definitely plan ahead, set time aside on the day of, and the day after. It is a long process for the very first set but touch ups are usually less than 1.5 hours and they want to make sure you don't have an reaction to the glue. I was denied an appointment when I had an oversea trip the next day. All in all, Jaye is a sweetheart and made me feel special. I got the volume full set. Worst lash salon ever! I usually let bad experiences slide but Ive never been treated worse. The owner Jay has a terrible attitude, she is downright mean. I got the "j's technique" and it hurt my eyes so bad, the lashes were on my skin, scratching and pulling and when I got them removed at a MUCH BETTER salon, they said there was damage to my natural lashes because they were put on more than one of my lashes and got pulled out. They also said they were just 2 regular lashes glued on top of each other, not any special technique. I could expect this from a nail salon, but not for a supposed high end salon. This is highway robbery. The owner talked smack about all her clients the entire time, talked to basically everyone that way. She taped my eyes way open and my eyes were red for days after. I was shocked at my experience after reading good reviews and only a few negative ones, but honestly I'm still surprised that they have any positive reviews because I've never come across such a lack of professionalism to sit there and badmouth your clients to a client and even your employees is awful. read more

I have been going to Jaye for about a year now, starting at her last salon in Mountain View. She really is the best! I can't say enough nice things about her work. I have cut down on my morning routine by about 10 minutes, just because of the lashes. It looks like I'm wearing eyeliner, but I don't! My first lash experience was with her, and she was totally understanding when I expressed my fears (paranoia!) of an allergic reaction before going to Hawaii. She used a glue for sensitive skin, and was able to switch to the better glue after my vacation. She gets booked up pretty far in advance, and one time I just couldn't get in before going to San Diego to visit family. I had to see a lady down in Carlsbad, and it was awful! The lashes were practically gone in 2 weeks. That NEVER happens with Jaye. I also love her personality and the conversations we have in the hour it takes for a touch up. I'm a very selective and picky person in general and have been accustomed to amazing lash extensions in Beverly Hills for the past few years but when I moved back to the Bay Area last year, it was a challenge to find the same kind of quality here. I started off getting my lashes done by Tammy. She was very thorough with explaining the entire process. She made sure that I was happy with the outcome. Tammy made sure that my lashes were perfect before leaving. She is easy to talk to and makes sure you're comfortable throughout the whole process. I went to Tammy for about 4 months but due to my scheduling conflicts, I switched to Selena. Selena makes me feel comfortable and takes into consideration what I want from the entire service. Selena did a great job and my lashes look fantastic. Lash allure uses great products and I can't complain about lash fall out. I've been to a few lash salons and by mid-week, I would lose about half my set. Where do I begin with Jaye? First off, she's an amazingly talented lash artist who has perfected and mastered the art of eyelash extensions. Other esthetics who do eyelash extensions do not qualify as an artist. Jaye is the definition of a true artist. She can obtain any eyelash extension style you request from length to volume. I am always amazed on how she makes my eyelashes look with such full volume. I can guarantee you no one can come close to the volume she can achieve. Secondly, It also lasts. I have never encountered any bad experiences with the lashes. Other salons use poor quality lashes or glue and do not properly place the lash correctly which leads to irritation around the eyelid and leads to a discharge in the eye. She always makes sure the lashes are clean before placing any lash to avoid any infection and she always makes sure your eyes are safe. I have the most sensitive eyes and I got a volume set with her. Unlike other clients, I go every week to make sure it's full because I go to the gym everyday and I'm picky on how they look. I drive over an hour to see her weekly because she's THAT phenomenal. Lastly, Jaye is such a genuine and caring person. There is truly nothing but kindness coming from her. She really does this for her passion towards eyelash extensions and cherishes her clients' happiness. She always takes her time and perfects every lash the way her client desires. I just got back from a trip to Puerto Rico, and it held up in spite of all the outdoor activities I did. Please note, prices have changed since 2014. One word: Amazing!!!! I've had extensions done in the past (by other people) they've also looked long and sparse and never lasted for more than a week and was even irritating on my lids. Jaye, however, gave me lashes that looked full with a length that matched my eyes. She is professional, gently, and gave me useful instructions about care. It's been about 2 weeks and my boyfriend still thinks my lashes look "great." I'm definitely coming back. Totally worth the price. I've been going to Jaye for lash extensions for several months now and she's amazing! I often get many compliments on my eyes or the length of my lashes but am never asked if my lashes are fake. I only apply a little eye makeup to dress it up before going out on weekends otherwise most days I let my lashes speak for themselves I've tried out other people in the area for lash extensions and have not been as happy with the results or customer service. I have been going to Lash Allure for about a year now and can say that I love their work (obviously since I've been a loyal customer). I've tried 2 other places before I found Lash Allure and I haven't had to look any further. It does take a while to get your lashes done but their chairs are comfortable enough to be able to fall asleep and relax to their soothing music in the background. The staff are very pleasant and polite, so I always feel welcome when I walk in to get my lashes done. Not to mention that the owner (Jaye) is very knowledgeable about lash extensions. I still remember my first session with her and asking why she got into lash extension. Her response was that she liked making her clients feel pretty and confident, and the way she takes her time and listens to my requests/questions makes me feel like she genuinely cares about me. Yesterday I called Lash allure to see if they were any openings available. I was impressed by the work done by her after seeing the eyelash extensions on someone else. The woman assisting me over the phone let me know that there was an opening available, but the appointment would be with a trainee. Believing that the trainee would be able to do a decent job, I went along and scheduled the appointment. Jasmine my eyelash artist was very sweet, she took 3 hours to do a natural set. I was uncomfortable throughout the entire appointment as the room reeked of this strong lavender scent that gave me a massive headache. But I'm honestly very very disappointed. As I paid $30 to basically be her "model" ( as they call it) aka dummy. In which she practices her eyelash extension skills on me at the expense of my time and money. I was also astonished by the attitude and rudeness way of Jaye. After my appointment with Jasmine, Jaye insisted on helping me with my scheduling of another appointment to be seen by a more advanced eyelash artist named Selena. Her professionalism went down the drain when she saw how unhappy I was with the end result of the 3 hour long extension procedure. Clearly unsympathetic, she rolled her eyes several times and when I asked for the $10 change back after I gave her 2 $20 dollar bills, I swear I heard her say "Bitch" as she went into the other room to retrieve the $10 change. This morning I called to cancel the appointment set in March and also to make sure I would not be charged for the cancellation fee. Jaye assured me I would not be charged. I will take my business else where. As Jaye, who I ideally wanted to do my eyelash extensions with is someone I would not trust after this experience. She makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed, even though my first 2 sessions I was quite embarrassed just because. Now I'm not at all embarrassed, even for a Brazilian Wax. Annie is very careful and it doesn't hurt, it just stings a little for a few seconds. Lash Allure is very clean, private and comfortable. They have soothing music playing in there, they also have water & herbal tea if you want. There's a completely private room just for waxing. They carry some different products you can purchase OTC as well. Lash Allure specializes in Eye Lash Extensions, they also provide services for different types of facials.
