Truly ecstatic to stumble upon this salon here in Dayton. I have been intrigued by the BR products…read morefor awhile had no idea there was a salon using the products here in town. I received such a personalized facial from Vanessa; she did the Acne Deep Cleansing Facial--wow! You can tell she knows skin and the products she uses. I loved learning about the BR line and various tips from Vanessa to improve my complexion. Can't wait until my next facial next month.

ORIGINAL: After looking for a good place to get a facial and reading all the raves on yelp, I…read morereally wanted to try this place and their Biologique Recherche Remodeling. However, when I called to schedule, not only did the lady on the phone have to put me on hold to find the answer to every question, but I was informed that I could not schedule the Remodel or any facial (as the same lady performs them all) for almost two months. I did go ahead and schedule and request to be put on the cancelation list. UPDATE: I was called for an opening within a week of being placed on the cancelation list. The woman who owns La De Da performed the facial, Christine Price, and it was incredible. I can understand why people love this place. Christine was very friendly and skillful. To begin, I was placed on a heated bed/table and a steady flow of warm steam was directed towards my face. After many different cleansers were applied and facial massages performed, the Remodeling began. It is (as I understand it) two pads which conduct a particular current which helps to strengthen the fascia in the face. The pads feel a bit like ants marching on your skin, not unpleasant but a bit odd. However, all the proof you need for this treatment is in the mirror after a session. I looked more awake and alert, and immediate scheduled another one. CONCLUSION: I still wish the wait time was less and that the front desk staff were a little more knowledgable and friendly, but the remodel facial with Christine makes the wait worth it!

I had the pleasure of meeting Renee and I was very impressed by her professionalism and…read moreattentiveness. She asked pertinent questions and listened carefully to my skin care needs. Based on what I said, she recommended a product for my hands. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and am happy with the product. During the same appointment, I also received the Micro Carbon Laser Facial. I was hoping to see an improvement (that is, fading) of sun spots on my face and neck, but I have to admit, I have not noticed any improvement. However, Renee did inform me at the time, that it may require more treatments to get maximum results. With that in mind I am planning on scheduling another treatment with her in the future. I hope to see some results then.

I wasn't going to write a negative review because I absolutely adore Amanda--she's been amazing,…read moreand her services are the only reason I stayed as long as I did. However, the way I was treated by the office was beyond unacceptable. I've been a loyal client since COVID, long before the office was even built. I've done the VIP facial membership, peels, and other services. Over the years, I've been canceled on numerous times--sometimes multiple times for the same appointment, even last minute--and I've always been understanding and flexible. On the rare occasions I've had to cancel, including last-minute due to illness, I've paid the full appointment price plus tip without complaint. While Amanda was on leave, I was booked with a newer esthetician (who I believe also handles administrative work and bookings). She performed the worst facial I've ever had--including failing to even power on the Bioloft machine. I kindly informed Renee, the owner, but still paid in full and was not even offered a replacement service. Recently, I've been dealing with serious health issues, including possible lymphoma/breast cancer. I woke up the morning of my scheduled appointment with a 103.6 fever. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the office. Rather than being met with compassion, I was met with rudeness and told I would be charged the full amount because I've had too many same-day cancellations. I even offered to come in sick to avoid the charge, which was declined. I strongly suspect the same esthetician who botched my facial was the one responding anonymously through the office text, as they avoid accountability by using no names or signatures. When I informed them I wanted to cancel my membership due to the poor treatment, they simply replied that it was 'for the best.' They then continued to antagonize me via text, even after I asked for all communication to cease. To make matters worse, they took my $150 membership credit for the month and canceled me without providing the service. After years of loyalty, it became clear they didn't value me as a client--likely because I don't fill my face with Botox and filler like their higher-paying Montgomery clientele. I also don't purchase their overpriced skincare, but I did invest in regular facials, massages with natural upgrades, and referred many new clients their way. Apparently, that loyalty meant nothing. If you're looking for a place that values relationships and treats all clients with respect--not just the ones spending big bucks--do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are far better, more ethical businesses out there

Anita was the second person to do my eyeliner and the first to do my eyebrows years ago…read more Over the years, I have referred people to her and even when I moved to Florida, I would return to Ohio to have her do updates even though permanent makeup is cheaper here in St. Petersburg. So it was with complete confidence that I told my mom that she needed to go to Anita to have her eyebrows done. Eyebrows were great. Anita asked Mom if she wanted her eyeliner done (I really wish Mom had talked to me first about that first),. Mom said yes and the ink quite promptly disappeared. Three attempts later.. eyeliner came off. The suggestion was made that Mom has a medical condition that causes ink to disappear. I checked out https://www.realself.com/forum/permanent-eyeliner-flaking which would appear to imply that no, Mom might be pretty healthy after all. Regardless of the reasons why this phenomena happens in the above link, I felt that she should have gotten a partial refund, at least. Maybe she could have gone back a fourth time but what's the point, really? I'm thinking there is none. My mom felt bad and I kept telling her after each procedure that Anita would do right by her, not to worry. I was in the wrong. I'm sure that she could go back every other week or so and have the process redone but it doesn't feel very good and why would somebody do that unless they enjoy pain? Since Anita's insurance company keeps track of her money, my mom cannot get a refund. This especially bites since she's retired but let's move on, shall we? I didn't know that Anita's insurance company did her finances and all that. I personally have USAA and all they care about is whether I pay them. I'm not sure they care about anything else, to be honest. I'll have to ask them the next time I call. The suggestion was made that perhaps my mother would like to have her lipliner done. Really? Like, seriously???? Why would my mom drive to Englewood and go 'under the needle' again for something that may or may not work and the only thing changing is her checkbook balance? Obviously, if I had known about the insurance company deal, I would never have recommended people to go to her over the years and I sure as heck would have gotten eyebrow and eyeliner updates done in St. Petersburg or maybe Tampa and saved a few bucks. Does Anita's insurance company think this sum of money was worth losing business over? I guess so. Sure hope it wasn't Geico. I like that lizard.
