My review is based on the Aesthetics side of Dr.Sesslar's practice only, as I have not seen Dr. Sesslar personally.
First off, I would like to say if you are going to Medicca for a treatment of any kind - DO! The treatments I have had worked well, (chemical peels, probiotic treatment) and they definitely serve their purpose.
The office is clean and never seems to be busy or loud, so that's a plus.
Now the only negative thing I experienced is this.
I have not struggled with acne in YEARS. The only reason I went to Medicca was for treatments to help my acne scarring. No matter what I said, the aesthetician could not understand that I was there to treat scarring - not acne. She asked me what products I used, (skinceuticals) and then proceeded to roll her eyes and tell me she needed to break me of that "bad habit" and get me on their new mybody products. Let me just say first that skinceuticals is the sole reason my acne cleared up years ago, and it is the reason it has stayed that way.
So long story short, I was talked into buying this very expensive product set I had never heard of and I could have not been more disappointed with the results. I broke out immediately and my skin looked terrible. I take full responsibility for buying the skincare set - I could have said Hey, That's OK, I'm fine and dandy with my "terrible, awful" skinceuticals.
To wrap it all up, the reason I won't be returning is the inability to get the aesthetician to understand treating acne is not a concern for me - as my current skincare regime works amazingly for that. I just wanted to treat scars.
Number two, I don't appreciate being scoffed at for using a skincare system she personally doesn't like. Everyone's skin is different.
And finally, their product line was pushed on me, very aggressively, making me feel like I had no other option because my personal choices were just sub-par. read more
