Took another trip to Lupes and got the mixed grill platter and spicy crunchy chicken tacos and was not disappointed. Tons of flavor and good portions. This is my favorite text Mex spot in the Webster area for a reason :)

I have been to Lupe many times. They have the best tortillas. The decor is authentic and welcoming. But today the restaurant was packed so service was really slow. That is my only reason for not giving it a 5. But I highly recommend Lupe. The fajitas are hands-down the best!

Steak fajitas

Great food! Steak fajitas, soup, salsas, homemade guacamole and chips and more. Great service! First timers so they gave us free steak fajitas sample minis and the chef checked on us twice to say thanks! Yummy drinks!

The service is always above excellent! Our waiter was awesome and super nice and patient with me and my mother.

Our go to place for great fajitas and sitting out on the deck. This is the best fajita restaurant in Clearlake.

I always stop here when I pass through the area on business. You can't go wrong with the house margarita and an order of fajitas.

Mediocre! Mexican food to and by white people but my beauties know better! Enchilada sauce should not be red!

Glad that we stopped here! Our waiter, Richard, absolutely made our day. Super nice and fast…read moreservice. He made sure to come back to check on us frequently and was so friendly. We got the fajitas for two and had lots of left overs, plus it was a lot cheaper than a lot of other chain restaurants. Food was also great, along with the chips and salsa. Wonderfully decorated and nice ambiance.

And i get that it's a long week, people are tired, whatever. But the store is open until 10 PM, and I was only ordering chips and salsa... literally the easiest thing on the menu. Before I even got there, I called at 9:28 PM--when I was already down the street because I wanted to be courteous. I knew it was the night before a holiday, and I didn't want to place an order last-second and make anyone scramble. I literally just wanted the salsa ready so I could grab it and go. Joseph answers the phone and the FIRST thing out of his mouth is: "We close in 32 minutes." No "hello," no "what can I get for you," nothing. Just pure attitude. So i go in to pick it up since i already felt like a bother, the older gentleman at the front was actually very nice. He greeted me warmly when I walked in. But the second Joseph P came out with my to-go order, everything went downhill. When I arrived, he didn't greet me, didn't acknowledge me, didn't say a single word. He just pushed the bag across the counter like he couldn't be bothered to lift his arm. No eye contact, no basic manners, nothing. And to top it off -- I still tipped $8 on an $11 order (because I always tip well), and he looked at the amount and still didn't manage even a half-smile or a simple "thank you." Just the same annoyed expression. Meanwhile, people were still eating inside, and someone else picked up food after me without any issue. So this wasn't about closing time -- this was pure attitude from one person. I've had plenty of good visits here, which is why this stood out so badly. If this is what "proud service" looks like when Joseph is working, the bar is set low

The night before Thanksgiving I went here finally and really enjoyed the whole experience. I…read moreordered the Chicken Enchiladas with gravy, just some yellow cheese on them with rice n refried beans. It was juicy, savory and very delicious. The sauce was mild, aromatic, salted enough and not too dense. The enchiladas were full cooked and tender. The cheese amount was enough to get some richness without being too cheesy or greasy. The chicken was plentiful and soft in feel adding nice bite and some protein vibes. The rice was subtle, fluffy and comforting. The refried beans were thankfully chunky with a touch of pudding feel, not too smooth. They also had a very unique spice in them too, which was good. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I also plan to try their chipotle and spinach chicken enchiladas on future visits when in the area. I also liked how the food is not too Tex Mex like some restaurants that are overly Americanized.

The best enchiladas!…read more If you're in the area (or even if you're not), and you're a fan of enchiladas (or even if you're not), you should give Barcenas a try. I had the basic Enchiladas Cheese, which were fantastic. The rice and beans were perfectly cooked and flavorful, which many comparable restaurants seem to struggle with. Chips and salsa were pretty standard, but still good. The place feels authentically Mexican, which is a nice change-up from all of the Tex-Mex places that are so common. The music and decor is all on point! Service was above and beyond as well. Even for a Sunday at lunch time, the waiters were constantly checking on us to make sure our drinks were topped off and to make sure we didn't need anything. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in that part of town to try another of their enchiladas!

9/10 would definitely go back !…read more I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, and both were really good. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken more. It had amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked. The steak was good too, but it had more of a barbecue taste, which just isn't my personal preference I also heard the table next to me. Tell the waiter that they preferred the chicken over the filet mignon, which just goes to show that their chicken is superior. Next time, I'd probably stick with just the chicken fajitas. Let's talk about the sauces because they deserve their own moment. The green sauce that came with the chips was AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The red sauce was also really good -- both paired perfectly with the chips. For rice, I tried both the cilantro rice and the Mexican rice. They were both solid, but I liked the Mexican rice just a little more. One thing to keep in mind: toppings for fajitas are an extra charge. I got the garlic, onion, and Serrano topping with cheese -- and they do not play when they say it's spicy! It was delicious but very spicy. Also, it's a $5.99 upcharge, which is easy to miss. And heads up: they mix the Serranos into the cheese, so you can't really remove them once it's served. If you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend asking for the Serrano peppers on the side. The service was extraordinary -- super attentive and welcoming. The place was packed, but there was still plenty of parking, which was a plus. I didn't order drinks this time, but they looked really good. I'll definitely be back, especially for Margarita Monday -- $5 margaritas all day sounds like a deal I can't pass up. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be coming back!

We had a reservation and were seated right away. Moses greeted us, gave solid recommendations including advising my cousin on the best way to top her fish taco, and overall provided us great service. The red salsa here is served hot. I prefer cold salsa but it was good. The avocado green salsa was cold and delish. Chips were fresh and crispy. I had the 2 crispy brisket tacos plate. The brisket was so tender and had just the right amount of sweet bbq sauce. The tacos also have cheese and there's lettuce on the side you can also add to the tacos. They give u the choice of 1,2, or 3 tacos and the tacos are huge. I would've been fine with one but they were so delicious that I have no regrets about ordering 2. The refried black beans were tasty. They give you the choice between those, charro beans and your standard refried beans. They also give you the choice between their house rice which is your typical Mexican rice or a cilantro greenish rice that I believe has a few bits of pork or ham in it. I chose the cilantro rice and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious. My cousin had 1 grilled fish taco plate and the same bean and rice sides I had and she also loved her food. The ambience, food, and great service make this the perfect dinner spot before a movie and a great start to the weekend!
