Came to this Pappasito's for a family birthday gathering almost 20 of us deep and everything ran smooth. I'd been craving fish tacos for a while, and sure enough, they were on the menu. No disappointment they're fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Big shoutout to our server Peyton absolute star. Friendly, fast, and kept the table moving like a pro. Orders came out quick, drinks stayed full, and somehow no chaos, which is saying something with a group that size. Finished it off with the cajeta ice crea yeah, it's worth it.

Taco crepes for dessert. Good taste.

Not a restaurant for a vegan, but they do have vegan options that aren't on the menu. The options are very limited so don't come thinking you'll eat a lot of food. The server, Anne was the most polite and attentive. She let me know that only two vegan meals: vegan fajitas (grilled zucchini, squash, onions, and red bell peppers) not cut, but big chunk pieces. The black beans are vegan. The tortillas are too. The rice isn't, but it's prepared in animal stock. It comes with guacamole, pico de gallo, a side of butter. The vegetables were well seasoned and flavorful. I got full off of the veggie fajitas with two tortillas. I didn't eat the side of butter, but gave it to my sister. The other vegan option is the Tijuana salad without meat and cheese. This restaurant stays packed. We didn't need a reservation.

Always a favorite! The Salsa, the Queso and the Diablo Shrimp are my favorites. Had the margarita flight which was also pretty yummy. I wish they would offer Diablo shrimp on more combo platters instead of just an add on and I cannot understand why they got rib of bbq sauce for baby back ribs-they were delicious with sauce! But Pappasitos never disappoints for a fun and yummy date night.

    Handmade Pork Tamales yummy.

We came in for a late lunch/ early dinner on Sunday and the place was pretty busy. It was quite loud and kept getting louder. But it seems to go in stages in the afternoon and it did get (a little) quieter. We had appetizers. Hubby had hand made tamales (pork) and I had potato taquitos. So so so good. We shared a queso fundido, which was fantastic until we got our other appetizers which made it pale in comparison. Anne I was helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you Anne. And thanks out to the chefs. And thanks to all the servers who managed to move at the speed of light without crashing into each other. We will definitely come back to this pappasitos.

This is the food ; tasteless ; over cooked ribs; burnt shrimps and uncooked fajita meet

Called the number and nobody answered. Stayed on the line for over an hour then I had to hang up. They need to issue a full refund. They cannot serve people burnt food. Look at those burnt shrimps ok. The player and they charge people for cheese and sour cream that was not eaten . Who does that?

Went for lunch today, Matt was our server and he was so nice! The hostess, Eliza who sat us, was also very polite! Chips and salsa were on point! We did have some of their green salsa, which I never had before, but was pretty good! It's Hatch Chile Pepper season, so we went with the hatch chile chicken tacos and the hatch chile pulled pork enchiladas. The chicken in the tacos was a little dry, but good. The enchiladas were amazing and definitely recommend! Keep the chips on the table while eating this because dipping the chips into the sauce is sooo good! The manager came by our table to make sure that we were happy or if we needed anything. This restaurant has a lot of tables and can accommodate large groups!

I love the service here! Our waiter was spectacular and very attentive. Fun atmosphere with lively music! The tortilla chips we got first for complimentary were a bit stale or old so I had to ask to get it switched out. The shrimp taco was good but just for 1, it was kinda pricy. The beef fajita sizzling platter was delicious! I like how the meat was very tender and even when it's medium rare. The onions that came with the platter were nicely sautéed. All the condiments were amazing as well. I have never tried a cajete before so this type of icecream style was very interesting. It came out cold and yummy: great for the warm weather! All the bits on it, coconut chips, crushed pecans, chocolate drizzle and strawberries, added flavor to the vanilla ice cream. I was so full, I didn't get to finish it but I took the rest to go.

    DRY OVERCOOKED $28 Shrimp!!

Way overpriced for some overcooked, microwaveable, straight from a can and reheated type of food. Let me tell you this was one of the worst restaurants we ate at in Houston!!!! The Enchiladas de res. The meat was unflavored pot roast beef that I'm giving my honest review tasted like one of those pot roasts you get from a frozen tv dinner. The rice was flavorless, frijoles was absolutely flavorless! The guacamole had hard avocados in it. Also spent $28 on the shrimp diablo that was so overcooked the shell would not detach from the shrimp meat!! It was like shrimp chips!! Now the kids meals. All my children did not eat tonight and left hungry because the fry's were rock hard. I'm telling the gods truth. It was HARD. Even the manager felt it and said it was really hard. Are they not checking their quality of food before serving it? They even offered to redo it and it still came out hard. The worst part is they offered to redo it then charged me for extra fry's.. what?? The food and experience was so bad tonight we won't be trying any other pappas restaurants. **And the management for pappasitos on yelp don't comment on my review with your fake concern "or number to call"... you know you don't care and won't do anything to fix my experience so save yourself the trouble!!!***

I found Pappasito's on Yelp as we were driving to grab dinner. I was looking for Mexican and fairly close and casual. First of all, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. As soon as our waiter approached us to welcome us, he brought us a queso on the house since it was our first time, He went over the menu and pointed out some recommendations. We went with the Fajitas that he mentioned with the beef, sausage, and shrimp. There were the best fajitas I have ever had. The beef was so tender and flvvorful. The sausage was great, and I loved how the skin was crispy. The shrimp were huge and cooked in the shell. OMG! The tortillas are homemade and heavenly. The beans had amazing flavors as well as the rice. I do not typically order dessert when dining out, but once I found out they had homemade Tres Leaches, I had to try it. THE BEST I have had! The manager came over while we dined to welcome us as well and to check on everything. We had a great time dining at Pappasito's and we will be back for sure. Our waiter was Antonio F. and he was 10/10.

From the few times I've been here it seems like the steak fajitas are always cooked perfectly and so tender! We had a great time here amongst friends. However it seemed like service was lacking a little bit, they were slow to take our orders and even though we had 3 sets of couples who ordered the fajitas for 2/family fajitas dinner, they were very skimpy with the fresh tortillas and only gave us 4 at a time. Was a little disappointed because their tortillas are so delicious and a staple when it comes to eating fajitas.

So, if your new in town; head towards Galveston on I-45 and look for Pappasito's Famous Tex/Mex Restaurant! You can fuel your belly.

And i get that it's a long week, people are tired, whatever. But the store is open until 10 PM, and I was only ordering chips and salsa... literally the easiest thing on the menu. Before I even got there, I called at 9:28 PM--when I was already down the street because I wanted to be courteous. I knew it was the night before a holiday, and I didn't want to place an order last-second and make anyone scramble. I literally just wanted the salsa ready so I could grab it and go. Joseph answers the phone and the FIRST thing out of his mouth is: "We close in 32 minutes." No "hello," no "what can I get for you," nothing. Just pure attitude. So i go in to pick it up since i already felt like a bother, the older gentleman at the front was actually very nice. He greeted me warmly when I walked in. But the second Joseph P came out with my to-go order, everything went downhill. When I arrived, he didn't greet me, didn't acknowledge me, didn't say a single word. He just pushed the bag across the counter like he couldn't be bothered to lift his arm. No eye contact, no basic manners, nothing. And to top it off -- I still tipped $8 on an $11 order (because I always tip well), and he looked at the amount and still didn't manage even a half-smile or a simple "thank you." Just the same annoyed expression. Meanwhile, people were still eating inside, and someone else picked up food after me without any issue. So this wasn't about closing time -- this was pure attitude from one person. I've had plenty of good visits here, which is why this stood out so badly. If this is what "proud service" looks like when Joseph is working, the bar is set low

The sauce was mild, aromatic, salted enough and not too dense. The enchiladas were full cooked and tender. The cheese amount was enough to get some richness without being too cheesy or greasy. The chicken was plentiful and soft in feel adding nice bite and some protein vibes. The rice was subtle, fluffy and comforting. The refried beans were thankfully chunky with a touch of pudding feel, not too smooth. They also had a very unique spice in them too, which was good. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I also plan to try their chipotle and spinach chicken enchiladas on future visits when in the area. I had the basic Enchiladas Cheese, which were fantastic. The rice and beans were perfectly cooked and flavorful, which many comparable restaurants seem to struggle with. Chips and salsa were pretty standard, but still good. The place feels authentically Mexican, which is a nice change-up from all of the Tex-Mex places that are so common. The music and decor is all on point! Service was above and beyond as well. Even for a Sunday at lunch time, the waiters were constantly checking on us to make sure our drinks were topped off and to make sure we didn't need anything. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in that part of town to try another of their enchiladas!

9/10 would definitely go back !…read more I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, and both were really good. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken more. It had amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked. The steak was good too, but it had more of a barbecue taste, which just isn't my personal preference I also heard the table next to me. Tell the waiter that they preferred the chicken over the filet mignon, which just goes to show that their chicken is superior. Next time, I'd probably stick with just the chicken fajitas. Let's talk about the sauces because they deserve their own moment. The green sauce that came with the chips was AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The red sauce was also really good -- both paired perfectly with the chips. For rice, I tried both the cilantro rice and the Mexican rice. They were both solid, but I liked the Mexican rice just a little more. One thing to keep in mind: toppings for fajitas are an extra charge. I got the garlic, onion, and Serrano topping with cheese -- and they do not play when they say it's spicy! It was delicious but very spicy. Also, it's a $5.99 upcharge, which is easy to miss. And heads up: they mix the Serranos into the cheese, so you can't really remove them once it's served. If you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend asking for the Serrano peppers on the side. The service was extraordinary -- super attentive and welcoming. The place was packed, but there was still plenty of parking, which was a plus. I didn't order drinks this time, but they looked really good. I'll definitely be back, especially for Margarita Monday -- $5 margaritas all day sounds like a deal I can't pass up. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be coming back!

They also give you the choice between their house rice which is your typical Mexican rice or a cilantro greenish rice that I believe has a few bits of pork or ham in it.
