Listen! For my husband to say this is the best philly cheese steak he has ever had is truly saying something. My warm brie sandwich was amazing! Don't miss this spot when you're in Amsterdam!

I had been walking around for hours and was cold and exhausted when I came in here. It was my second day in the Netherlands and I was very underwhelmed by the food I had eaten thus far. I sat at the bar and ordered the Waterloo sandwich and a beer. It may have been the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had. The beef was incredibly rare and melted in your mouth. The pesto sauce and aged cheese on it was incredible. There was only a wheat roll left which they made it seem like the worst option, but I thought it was great. When I was leaving I told the bartender that it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and he said "well I'll see you tomorrow" I tried somewhere else the next day but I wish I had gone back. I feel like I can't give a place 5 stars without going there more than once, so I'll have to give this 4, but this was by far and away the best thing I ate in the Netherlands.

Stumbled upon this Cafe while looking for a quick breakfast before our Jewish quarter walking tour. We were so glad to find this gem of a place. It's a typical of Amsterdam, it's a small seating area, there is bar seating area as well and some tables. We sat at the bar and I ordered the apple pie with cream and my husband ordered Ham and cheese crossaint with large coffee. I wanted my apple pie warmed up but the server said its supposed to be eaten at room temperature. I was skeptical as I'm used to eating it a little warm in the US but surprisingly it was very good. My husband's ham and cheese crossaint was served nice and hot. It was so good that we ordered a 2nd one. It was delicious. Their coffee according my hubby was one of the best he's had in Amsterdamn and America. Wish we could go back there again but we are leaving tomorrow. Highly recommend this Cafe. Great food and very friendly service.

Gotta say this place has great food and at a nice price. The waiter was very nice, the food was served quickly and without any problems.

We wanted to find somewhere to eat within a short walk of the Museumplein as we had 1:15 p.m…read more tickets for the Rijksmuseum. My wife located this place and we met up with our daughter there after she dropped off her rented bike nearby. If you walk to the far end of the park from the Rijksmuseum and turn left at the street that borders the park there, the restaurant is about 2 blocks along there. You enter into a small waiting area and proceed between 2 counters. The best way I can describe the process is that it was like an ice cream shop in the U.S. They had glass displays showing what was available for meals - varieties of pasta, etc. You could select from those, or I think they had salads also. You place your order and then grab a table. A server will bring the food out when it is ready. Seating was a bit limited, so there could be a wait for a table. We arrived just before they got busy, though. They have about 5 or 6 small tables on the ground floor. If those are full, a fallback option is to ascend the spiral stairs up to a low-ceilinged loft. This is where we ate. The chairs here were fine but the tables were quite small - almost like a high coffee table. It wasn't hard to eat off these, just a bit different than usual. Also, if you are much over 6 feet tall, the ceilings will require caution. They can probably accommodate another 3 - 4 small parties up there. Everyone liked their food, which definitely had that 'prepared fresh' vibe. I got the pasta and had no trouble finishing it. I'd definitely consider eating here again were I back in the area.

Mostly semi Italian deli items. I had ravioli, stuffed mushroom, roasted veggies, rocket and generous parmigiana sprinkling. They have tables so we could eat there. Small place, hard working, cool looking deserts (skipped because we had stuff back at the hotel.). I think they may have had table service upstairs, call and ask if that's your requirement. Lovely neighborhood small deli.

Since we already had made plans to eat elsewhere, we made sure to come back before we left the city. It's only five minutes from my hotel anyways! Come to find out, the line wasn't as huge as it would seem. They were holding people outside because the inside was actually ridiculously warm. So they were holding people outside to minimize the amount of people inside. The wait was actually less than 10 minutes. The first thing I noted was...wow, everything is so cheap here! I'm sure that's a partially a function of them basically being cash only (no Visa, MasterCard, American Express accepted, so I don't know what would be accepted), but also because it's Amsterdam and everything is way cheaper here in general. Ordered the Cortona (€4.90), Calzone Margherita (€2.80), Pizza with Grilled Vegetables (€2.80), Ricotta Cannoli (€2.80), and a Large Classic Tiramisu (€2.80). Goes without saying that everything was fire. That Cortona sandwich was so well-made and tasty! If I was ordering something like this back in the U.S., it would easily be 3x the price. Staff here are super friendly! They keep the line churning real quickly despite the high demand. And despite how many orders they take in, they move very quickly. I have honestly no clue how I have never come here before considering the amount of times I have been to Amsterdam. It's definitely going to be one of those spots that I will keep coming back to, that's for sure.
