Hungry for lunch on the way to Glacier National Park, my boyfriend and I stopped here for a bite to eat. Upon waking in, it was unclear whether we were supposed to go to the counter or sit down and order, so we went to the counter. No one greeted us. A lady was there to take our order, so I asked her for a menu. Then she asked if we were eating in and when we said yes, she gave us a single menu and told us to sit wherever. The menu is VAST with lots of options. I went with the pastrami sandwich and a baked potato, both of which were tasty other than the thick rye bread on my sandwich. The single star is taken off due to the bread and the confusion and lack of professionalism in the restaurant. I would definitely stop by again though now that we know the protocol. read more

I ordered the bread bowl with clam chowder, and the bread bowl was tiny, and there was maybe a cup of clam chowder in it. I was very disappointed and I left hungry. I've eaten here before, and it's always been really good, but I will not order the bread bowl again because it was $7.25 and there was hardly anything to it. The waitress was great, but I just can't see paying that much for a little tiny bread bowl with hardly any soup in it. read more

We found the Lunch Box through Yelp and with its 4.5 stars we decided to try it. To our disappointment, the coffee was just okay. My bagel was barely warm and stale on one end. Plain bagels are the only choice of bagels. The breakfast sandwich was very plain. read more

I go in a few times a week and get Togo orders and have never had issues. The blonde girl that is usually at the register is always wonderful. Tried to call in an order today at 2:45pm (I didn't realize they closed at 3pm or else I wouldn't have tried to place an order). An older woman picked up and I asked to place an order, she sighed and said "well I'm out of buns" I explained the sandwich I wanted to see if she had what was needed. She sighed again and said "oh my god". I just said never mind and hung up. Now realizing it was almost closing I do understand the frustration HOWEVER she should've explained that they were closing soon and couldn't take anymore orders and I would've totally understood. Nice place. Only wish they gave 2 pickle slices for my $8.25 lunch sandwich. Please give us more pickle slices!!! Bag of chips included is cool. As soon as I finished lunch I wanted to return tomorrow for another great sandwich. Friendly staff, cool people, cool spot and have a ton of variety on their big menu. Apparently they do amazing breakfast sandwiches in the morning. I ordered the #18 Bossom Buddy on toasted whole wheat with no cream cheese (I don't need the extra calories) and did get extra guac. I love guacamole. Sprouts, tomato, guac, lettuce, and a mountain of nice turkey slices. It's basically like a super delicious, way better improvement on the "Turkey Tom" from Jimmy Johns. The Lunch Box = happy lunch time Havre. Really I could eat here all the time if I didn't live in the burbs of Chicago. Montana you rock!!! read more

I had the #35 and a cup of soup. They did not skimp on sandwich fixings. Soup was very good. Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly.

This is a nice mom and pop sandwich shop. They claim their bread is baked fresh daily and I'd have to agree as it was soft and yummy! It is nice to see a place where they serve Coke on tap! Their menu is quite large and I am confident you will find something if not a few things to try! You have the option to order a regular or mini sandwich. It is served with a bag of chips and a pickle. I'd love to see homemade chips versus Lay's! That'd give 'em FIVE stars!!!! read more

Passing through Havre and because of Yelp decided to try this place. Got a #26 but can't remember the name. It's a HUGE sandwich with ham, turkey, lettuce, bacon, cheese and special sauce on soft wheat bread. Awesome taste. Unsweetened iced tea is very good. Would have gotten 5 stars but the bag of chips are pathetic. Maybe 10 total plain Lays potato chips. Needs to be on that. read more

Nice place to grab a sandwich. As said in other reviews, there aren't breakfast sandwiches on the menu, but they'll make it upon request. They even cut up a piece of sausage for our young son. We ordered to go and everyone was friendly. read more

I had a turkey sandwich and it was by far one of the thickest sandwiches for the price I've had. Very fresh and well worth the price. Loved how it was toasted and waitress could not have been friendlier and attentive. Great first try and will not be my last. The Lunch Box has a huge variety of really good sandwiches. Salads and soups are also fine. There is a limited, but tasty, variety of baked goods. Service is friendly and efficient. I guess the lunch box is okay if you want a cup of coffee, tho the coffee is not as good as PJ's and Char's, tho plan to drink a gallon of water after ordering sandwiches and soups, they are very salty...the service is shoddy, and they are not prepared to host anything over four customers. We had a party there for my husband and the help was not accommodating and quite rude. Evidentally, with the an open invitation, we thought the owner would have enough help...two people serving could not accommodate our 35 people. Forget a party at the lunch box, they best stick to coffee clubs, tho, I do wish the coffee group my husband belongs would switch to Henny Penny, the Grateful Bread or PJs...Stay away from Lunch Box and Wolfers...And I lost my check book there, they did not even act concerned...they just wanted to clean up and get out...and it was well before 4 pm...and when more guests came in at 3:30 pm, they told me they ran out of food...oh really, I saw one waitress packing down about two pounds of ham in a container...I would have wanted to take food home, and offered to pay...Also, the owner will not allow anyone to bring in food, hence, we had to settle for a crummy, falling apart cake that was a disgrace, they never put the cake out...it would have been so easy for us to cut and serve the cake and give generous pieces...there was not near enough cake...the cake was something a kid could make in an easy bake oven...Just a cake, plain icing, no flowers...And they need a cleaning crew, those carpets are due for cleaning...
