Not our first dog self wash, but the experience here was a positive one. Background.... We have two rambunctious mid-size (38 & 45 lbs) frenchies that needed a wash. During the summer months, they are washed monthly. To save money we take them to dog self wash, but our regular place happened to be closed on Sundays. Found Luna's Dog Wash on Yelp, excited it was open on Sundays. Getting there was challenging, but this is because Waze's giving faulty directions. It is located on the same strip mall as Stater Brothers. Parking was easy to find even tho the strip mall was busy. Experience... From the moment we walked in, they were welcoming and were helpful at every step. We opted for the 3-washes bundle. Using one coin provided us 20-minutes. We left the dogs' collars at home and only brought their harness and leash. Thankfully they provided an adjustable collar to attach to the safety restraint. We were unsure of how it worked (definitely more mechanical than our other place). We inserted the coin and pushed buttons for shampoo, conditioner and rinses. Our dogs hate blow dryers, my husband still insisted to use it and almost had his fingers taken out. LOL In my opinion, Luna's Dog Wash was a better system compared to our other dog wash place. Having two dogs, it was helpful to have the space corralled so we could have both dogs. For multiple dogs, having a second set of helping hands would be good. They offered both regular shampoo and flea/tick shampoo and the nozzle was from one source (water/shampoo & same for conditioner), this made everything much easier. Shelby was the best at explaining how this whole process works. It's super easy and so convenient. However, I will say that my heeler/lab mix did not dry completely in the 20 min. His hair is very dense, so it's to be expected. He was by no means sopping wet, but he was still damp when the machine turned off. Shelby gave me another towel but I could've also used quarters and did the dryer again. My dog's a senior so he was over the blow dryer noise. Yes! Absolutely recommend this particular self-serve dog wash business!! It was my dogs and my first time at this particular location and at a self-serve location. There are sectioned areas for each customer to wash their dog, the attendant explained the process and even offered towels, a collar, brush to aid with the process. The verdict is the affordable price along with a 20 minute window to do all necessary steps for the dogs cleanliness. All included: Shampoo, or shampoo with flea and tick, conditioner, blow dry, etc. The experience was great, since it was our first time, we did need more extra time than the 20 minute limit; but considering that my dog is quite large and over 100 lbs. there's a reason why my particular dog needed more time. Overall, we definitely recommend this self-serve dog wash business! We will be coming back. Also, the attendant was nice enough to provide my dog a pup cup, which he very much loved. read more

Definitely a learning curve to get everything done in the 20 minutes but the person working gave us so many great tips and advice to make our dog more comfortable. The team at Luna's is so lovely. They are super helpful and patience. We have a 60ish pound staffy mix and she is terrified of baths. Her first bath at home had her screaming and slipping in the tub and we knew we had to find a way to make it less traumatic. The self service bath stations at Luna's have been such a game changer. We just did our third bath there and it was the best yet! They have everything you need for bath time; shampoo/conditioner/blow dryer are all part of the bath station, plus they provide a glove brush, towel, and have offered our girl pup cups and squeaky toys to help make the experience easier. I have a husky mix so sometimes bathing can be a little wild. But today was something new, my dog had me fooled. He did so well with Janine. She was so nurturing and caring with him that he didn't even whine. I love that she gives tips and explains the process.
