This is a rooftop bar that has indoor/outdoor. We were not able to get to go outside I heard it is a small area. We sat at a high top that was free. We did not have reservations here. It is a part of the canopy hotel. This is a nice bar with a cool vibe/ atmosphere. I had a hugo spritz to drink which was good. The Bartender was nice but a tad rushing me but just a little bit. The reason for the 3 stars is that the hostess was not all that friendly. It was also a bit hard to hear. I feel that most hosts/ hostesses should be a tad friendly as they are the first people who interact with guests at bars/restaurants. I know we are all human and have our off days but from what I heard from others is that this place has had a history of not so friendly hostesses. The music here was good.

Located on the rooftop of the Hilton Canopy Hotel and conveniently located to many downtown stores and bars. We had a dinner reservation up the street and decided to use up some time here at Luna Rooftop. We ordered a bottle of wine and the tuna tartare appetizer. Both were excellent and we enjoyed them with the harbor view. The hostess at the front wasn't the most friendliest person we've come across, but the bartenders and our waitress were great. We highly recommend a stop here and definitely request a table on the balcony, if possible. Cheers!

It's a rooftop bar, and given the expected crowd, I didn't have high hopes for attentive service. But to my surprise, the waiter was fantastic--thoughtful and patient, even with a solo guest like me. He took the time to follow up on my questions on the origin of the items on the menu. I kept it simple: a local beer, oysters harvested just a couple of miles away, and a special lemon cheesecake, which I paired with Grand Marnier. The balcony seating was the cherry on top--perfect for taking in the sweeping views of the bay. A lovely spot to wind down after a day of sightseeing.

Super fun vibe. Great views of the city. The espresso martinis were really good here. Seating can be limited but there's plenty of standing room if you're willing to grab a cocktail and wander a bit.

Luna Rooftop Bar: Great Vibes and Tasty Bites Luna Rooftop Bar is a fun spot for drinks and appetizers with a great view of the water and downtown. There are plenty of seating options--at the bar, high tops, lounge chaises, and outdoors--making it a perfect summer hangout. Service was solid, and the wings and chips with onion dip were delicious. A great spot to relax, enjoy the view, and snack on tasty bites!

This is a really nice spot! In addition to the outdoor seating area, there's also a pretty solid indoor area. It's the kind of place you could go to for all different types of occasions - a date, girls night, birthday, etc. We mostly went for drinks, since that felt like more of the vibe there. The espresso martinis hit the spot. We also got a little cake, which was delicious! The service was good overall and we had a great time. Cool place!

Went here with a couple of girlfriends and sat outside after a short wait at the bar. Outdoor space is still lovely - comfy spaces and nice views - but the service and food menu were not great. We were given room temperature water, and ordered a couple of apps from the very limited menu. The spicy-make-your-lips numb wings were supposed to come with a ranch dipping sauce according to the menu. When the wings arrived, no sauce. I tried flagging down a server but the two ladies cleaning off a high- top didn't see me gesturing, so I got up and went to the hostess station to request the missing sauce. They said "we can get that for you", but no apology, when a server brought it, it was the same aioli that came with the fries, not a ranch dipping sauce. When our assigned server came to our table, I mentioned that the wings hadn't come with the sauce - she cut me off and said with an attitude that it was a new menu and the chef wasn't aware. Then walked off. No apologies from any of the staff. As my companion said "a simple sorry goes along way". With blah food, expensive drinks, and poor service, I can and have found better places in Portland with a view.

If you're looking to grab a drink with a view this place is perfect! It's a little harder to find since the entrance is inside the Hilton hotel but it's worth finding. We sat right on the side that was overlooking the water and we were able to see a ton of the town too. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

Great atmosphere in an intimate setting with a wonderful view. We only ordered drinks while at Luna...specifically the espresso martini and an almond martini. Drinks were good - a little pricier than drinks at bars in the surrounding area but that's to be expected considering it's a "rooftop lounge". We didn't get to fully experience all of Luna due to limited seating availability outside with the fires but the indoor area was just as cozy!

This spot was really a gorgeous location with hit or miss service. First night we went we had a wonderful guy as our waiter who was attentive, filled up water often, and always came back quickly with drinks. The second time around we had a waitress who disappeared for 25 minutes at a time- we ended up only getting one drink cause it took so long to even get one drink, let alone two. Food wise- lobster tostadas, chicken skewers, and truffle fries were a hit. Lobster arancini were good but could use more sauce. Drinks- bikini szn, any gin drink, and old fashion were great. I surprisingly didn't love the espresso martini on tap but it wasn't bad. The mojito on tap was awesome though!

    Bkni Szn- super refreshing!

This was our 4th time at Luna, but the first time back post baby. We were seated quickly in the outdoor section, and service was fast and friendly! The ambience was on-trend and fun, even with the pouring rain. We had the Truffle Fries (fantastic!) And the steamed Carnitas Buns (okay- probably would not get again though). I had the BKNI SZN drink, which was refreshing and tart, and oh so pretty to look at!

Room for Improvement has been around for quite awhile at this point and I have heard nothing but positive about it. My wife and I finally made the time to come here and glad we did. With it being Halloween they have a special theme this week called Doom for Improvement so we thought it was the perfect time to visit! We showed up at opening for a spot to beat Halloween crowd on wharf street. I was reminded of Jager right away in the sense it felt familiar while also feeling new. They decked it out with Halloween decorations and bartenders were dressed up. We had Bojack Horseman serving us who was a top notch bartender, friendly, answered any questions and had good vibes! My wife tried their Pineapple Daiquiri and their Espresso Martini. I went with the Halloween themed drinks and got the Rest In Peeses that was a peanut butter (Reese's) themed Old Fashioned. Secondly I grabbed their Plenty Evil that was inspired by the Good & Plenty candy Absinthe Frappe. My wife's drinks were phenomenal and would both be go to orders for her and we both found a new favorite Espresso Martini. My first drink nailed the perfect mix of peanut butter flavor with a classic Old Fashioned. Secondly despite not being a huge licorice/good & plenty candy this drink was delicious! I look forward to returning for a non Halloween themed visit but we were both extremely impressed. If you are looking for a bar to grab drinks and want a nice and chill vibe this is your spot. Expect friendly bartenders who make high quality drinks!

The lemon sole (fish) and octopus carpaccio (not pictured) were filled with flavor! The pork belly was very underwhelming and I would not order again. The waiter said 2-4 plates per person. I recommend starting on the lower end and adding additional dishes based on how you're feeling. The amount of food was very different from dish to dish. For example the tuna dip had way too much bread and the pork belly was very small in size. Overall I was half impressed. I wish the staff would take a moment to announce the plate as it's placed next to you or point it out on the menu for those hard of hearing and wanting to know what they are about to enjoy. However the music, overall restaurant vibe and half the dishes exploding with flavor made my experience pleasant and I will return again knowing a bit more of what to expect and looking at photos of the menu/meal options beforehand.

What could be better than a dumpling lounge? We just went for the first time and were blown away. The ambiance of the place is unique. It feels like a chic timeless but retro speakeasy with the fun atmosphere of a tiki bar. Dark red and black colors, floral art, Art Deco chandeliers, lacquered tables, kitsch and fun cheetah lamps and statues. It immediately put a smile on our faces. The food is also unique. Dim sum for dinner but with more sophisticated twists and better quality than you'll find in most Chinatowns. You start by getting a dish with three different dipping sauces for the dumplings. The hot and sour soup was rich in peanut flavor, filled with tofu, mushrooms, and seaweed, with a cumulative little kick of spiciness. It was a great start and a major cut above anything we've ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The sichuan cucumber salad are Chinese cucumbers innovatively cut into a spiral like a slinky or coil spring. You pick them up with chopsticks and they spring up and down! Served in a horseradish and pepper coulis, they had a spicy kick. Don't miss the mojo baby corn. It's grilled, crispy, and addictive. You'll want a bucket of it when watching a movie. Steamed soup dumplings are filled with ham or prosciutto, a nicely salty and meaty twist on the standard ones. Steamed mushroom and truffle dumplings are probably the closest to traditional dim sum, rich, flavorful, and packed with shrooms. Crab and lobster lucky bags were deep fried wontons filled with a mix of ground lobster and crab, on a bed of crème fraiche with scallions. A great contrast with the crispy salty shell and soft filling! Our favorite was the sesame beef bao. They look like the traditional sesame balls in Chinese restaurants, crispy on the outside, pillowy soft inside but filled with brisket! They were mouth wateringly delicious! There was a selection of larger entrée plates that looked good (fried rice, lo mein, crispy chicken) that we didn't try but will next time. The drink menu was three pages long. Every kind of creative cocktail you can imagine, a long list of wines and sparking drinks, at prices from reasonable to 'special occasion.' For the atmosphere and ambiance, it seemed like cocktails or sparkling wine went best. All the staff and the manager couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. They made us feel like old friends. Their warmth was genuine, we were sincerely touched by their friendliness. We were smiling and laughing the whole time, and amazed at how delicious the food was. It's unique. It's so much more than just a delicious meal. Going here is truly an experience, one that we'll remember for a long time and want to repeat often. It's an incredibly special place, and you feel special being here. You won't find a place like this outside of New York City, but here it is in Portland. We're going to go back often and regularly.

I finally had a chance to look at all the decor and details, and my eyes were FEASTING on the colorful touches and funky vibes. Our server was very nice, and even though we only ordered one drink and definitely stayed there for a good amount of time, he wasn't pushy in any way. My cocktail, the Wink n Nod, was soooo good. It had vodka, gin, manzanilla, olives, and pickled Fresno brine. The result was a yummy concoction with a punch, one that I could savor and not slurp in ten seconds. That said, I gotta say I was surprised by how busy the place was given how early we went. It wasn't even 4pm.
