Yacht club martini
George M.

Latest popular mod cocktail lounge paired with bites. Swingin' vinyl also paired with gorgeous vintage Altec speakers! Beer list is short but decent and the Yacht Club martini rocks. Food was surprisingly good with outstanding sticky ribs, cucumber dish, white beans, broiled oysters. Fries were ok but salad boring consisting of just spinach and some blueberries. Only serious downside was no local gins! We didn't try the mains. Service was excellent. Nice spot!

Cool spot! I love the warm, cozy interior. Nice place for date night. Food and drinks were great, and the staff were cool too. I'll def be coming back!

What a cool new bar in Portland. The vibes are super neat with a vintage feel where they play records. They have a large bar, lots of seats and another bar out back. They have a pool table too. We got a cocktail and some apps. The rolls were fantastic and the cucumber dish was so different but really good too! I'll be back for the vies and the rolls!

This is the rooftop bar on top of the Canopy Hotel. We didn't eat here...just drank our desserts. hahaha! We had martinis of the Chocolate variety. Highly recommend! We were able to get a table with a view of the street and actually watched a couple cruise ships depart. The night was a bit cold, so they gave us fluffy blankets to put on our lap or wrap ourselves in which was most appreciated. The martinis were excellent. Sweet but not too sweet and hit the chocolate craving we were having. Server was really nice and we enjoyed talking to her. Next time we are in town... definitely coming back.

Luna was a great way to end our Portland trip!…read more We ordered two of the rotating jello shots which were blueberry, a blurry lemonade cocktail, as well as the Basque Shrimp which came with grilled sourdough. The jello shots were delicious! Definitely stronger than I expected, but loved the blueberry taste and you'll really start feeling it. The cocktails were also great, and I loved the fresh blueberries in them. I was also impressed with our shrimp dish. The bread was the perfect accompaniment to dip in the sauce, and the app came with many shrimps. The ambiance of the rooftop was great. There was even a DJ. Loved the service as well.

We came here for dinner during our Portland trip, and it was a highlight of our trip. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes, but it was kind of a yolo meal for us to enjoy with friends. It gets really packed so definitely make a reservation. It is dimly lit and cozy in here. The service is friendly. I really liked their beer selection (I'm not a fan of stouts but loved their lighter beers) though I'm not even a beer person. We tried a handful of menu items. My favorites were the fried fish dish with polenta and the spicy beef salad, but everything was delicious and creatively put together. The suckling pig was probably the only thing that was a bit underwhelming and even that was good. My husband loved the bread and butter dish and we had to get seconds! One note is that though the blueberry corn tres leches was a really great well balanced dessert, it wasn't actually tres leches because it wasn't moist/saturated with milk at all. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Food- the oysters with prosecco and blueberries was really unique. Whipped foie gras was so good. Get this! Foie gras ice cream cream puff was so hard. It tasted stale and hard when I took a bite. I'm not sure if I was supposed to wait since the server didn't mention anything. The ice cream ended up melting out of the bite hole, so we didn't eat it. Suckling pig skin itself was delicious, but the meat under was dry and not tender.

We didn't really look it up before hand and I think we were expecting more of like a dive bar and couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as we walked in the door, we were really digging the decor and overall layout of the place. We were seated right away at the bar and got a couple drinks pretty quickly. The bartender was a younger guy and super friendly. He was very approachable and was really knowledgeable about the gluten free experience (my wife has celiac), which got us excited to come back another day for dinner. My wife got the Short Story Long, which had a really interesting, herbal/vegetal flavor that she really enjoyed overall. I got the Pulp Fiction, which was a flavor bomb all the way with the hint of rye flavor but also a hint of fruit and other layers that was just really fantastic. We will absolutely come back here with the kids for dinner some night!

While I wasn't particularly impressed with the flavor of the martini, I did enjoy the olives. Next, we tried the mushroom & truffle dumplings and lobster dumplings. Unfortunately, the lobster dumplings were quite dry and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The standout dish of the night was easily the baby corn, which was incredibly flavorful and probably the best thing we ordered. The cucumber salad, on the other hand, was pretty underwhelming. It lacked flavor overall but had a surprisingly strong spicy kick at the end. We finished the meal with bao buns, which were another disappointment. They were overly greasy and didn't leave a great final impression. Overall, I'd give the ambiance a 10/10 but the food a 5/10. The restaurant has a great vibe and beautiful atmosphere, but for the price point, I expected much more from the food. It's definitely a spot where the atmosphere outshines the menu.

The michelada was fresh and delicious, and my friend got a fresh-squeezed orange juice that was frothy to in a way I've never seen before. He said he could drink a gallon of it. I took a seat, grabbed the drink menu, found something I liked and waited for someone to come over. The waitress brought drinks to the couple directly next to me and walked away. Then she brought drinks to the girls on the other side of me, walked away. It was busy, it was a Friday night I knew she'd be back eventually. The waitress came back to the couple next to me to bring them something, walked away. Zero acknowledgment, zero. Not a hello, not a, Hi I'll be right with you, nothing. She walked past me at least 8 or 9 times, nothing. I looked at the host who sat me, we made eye contact, he knew I was looking for someone to place an order, he didn't do anything. I gave it 12-15 minutes and I packed up my stuff and left. On the way out I said to the host, nobody came over to me. He said, "thank you!" What a bizarre experience. I felt so unwelcome. It's not the easiest thing dining or going out solo, I was completely ignored and even after telling someone they didn't care to have me stay.
