This is one of the coolest breweries I have been too. The atmosphere is cute, cozy, fun all in one. Just the name itself is awesome. They are known for their ciders and they also have some beers and slushies. I got a mocktail it was very refreshing. I could have stayed here all day because that is how comfortable the chairs were and the music was amazing! The staff here are nice and helpful. Not to mention too the merch here is very cute and on brand with the name. They don't just sell t-shirts that is for sure. They also have a big outdoor space where people can enjoy their beverages. In the winter time and colder months, it seems you can sit outside as I saw they have a fire pit too. This should be on your list of places to go visit in maine.
I was pleasantly surprised being back at Apres. I was hesitant to try the cider again but tonight the very kind staff urged me to try a seltzer, even after saying I am not a fan of seltzer. He assured me theirs was different. And I am glad I tried it. I had the Tote Road and loved it. It was smooth and flavorful. We also had the blueberry lemon goat cheese platter that was perfect. The atmosphere was dark but comfortable and moody. Loved it!
The vibes here are SO good!! Ambiance is absolutely 5 stars. Love the tropical feeling patio with many umbrellas, lounge chairs, and outdoor bar! The inside is also gorgeous with cozy looking chairs. I tried the persica seltzer which was peach and strawberry. It was solid, but I am picky with my seltzers and prefer ones with the most fruity flavor and minimal sparkling water aftertaste. My friend tried the frozen slushy which was better and very flavorful - I would go for that next time. I like that they have small pours to sample, and looking forward to trying other flavors!

Staff is very friendly, they have food trucks available, and the place itself is very nice. Huge indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a place you can go on a date or bring the family! We sat down inside at one of their nice booths. We both got the slushys which were great! They were refreshing and had a very good flavor with a hint of their signature apres taste. The presentation of everything here is also very satisfying. They have tons of games to play if you're looking for some fun. We were able to grab a chess board and use that while enjoying our drinks. Whatever the occasion, make sure to check this place out. Definitely a great option if you're looking to have a laid back time and some good experiences.
Great decor, lots of options for seating and grouping inside and out. Bathrooms are super fancy. Lots of games to play. And with most, if not all, drinks at 5% alcohol, a place you could spend the afternoon, which I've done on more than one occasion. Service is also exceptional- always a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Only drawback is the lack of food options and the somewhat restrictive hours. Don't order snack plates - they're just tortilla chips with varios canned or jarred things. Eat before you come or get food from whatever food truck is on site. Bottom line - grab a group of friends, find a spot where you can all hang (easiest if you're able to get there early), and settle in for a few hours of fun!
I've had a few of their hard seltzers over the years, and thought it was time to finally check out their location. I'm not entirely sure what I thought the atmosphere would be like (something relaxed and welcoming maybe?), but the spring break party vibe was truly unexpected. We visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday and it was busy, busy, busy. Like: line-out-the-door, people-throwing-jello-shots-to-one-another-from-across-the-room, music-so-loud-we-had-to-scream-our-order-at-the-bartender kind of busy. The bartender was unbelievably rude too; we asked if there was some kind of special event happening and they replied, "no, we're just that cool", then they took our order and walked away. I couldn't make this up if I tried: we stood there for close to ten minutes waiting for them to come back with our drinks (while other bartenders took care of other people). When they finally reappeared, they looked shocked to see us still standing there, quickly grabbed our drinks - sloshing them absolutely everywhere - and said, "sorry, I had to go help with an event and I forgot about you." I think I like the product more out of a can than on draught. We found them very flat. We tried four different seltzers on this occasion: Argonaut (ginger and lemon; too acidic for us, we didn't finish it), Pine Rickey (lime and pine; very pleasant!), Kahiki (pineapple, mango, and lemongrass; again, very acidic), and Avondale (raspberry and kiwi; artificial candy-like flavor). We REALLY liked the outdoor space (so much space, and so many varied and comfortable seating/standing options) and that it's dog-friendly; but - back to the inside space - why are the bathrooms so, so, so dark? Like, they're SO dark. Anyway, we like their Alba (blackberry and sage hard seltzer); it's a fantastic option for the holidays as it compliments so many other flavors of the season. We'll continue to buy a four-pack of that (and maybe the Pine Rickey!) again from Bow Street, but will not be visiting this location again.
Very cute brewery & cidery! We loved that there was a food truck on site. The tables are large which makes it a great spot for groups. When we visited, there was a DJ inside. It was very loud, making it hard to have conversation, but it brought some energy to the room. I didn't interact much with the staff. It is counter service; you grab your drinks then bring them to your table.
If you're heading out for a night on the town and looking for a young, hip, and boho bar vibe, Après is the place to go. I was in Portland for the evening visiting my cousins and they took me to one of their 'top craft bevy' go-to spots, Après. For the love of Maine is right! The hard seltzers were unique and delicious, and I loved the fresh fruit and greens added as garnish. I tried the Argonaut, Falmouth, So Was Red, and Chile Nelson. Each one had a very quirky and distinct taste, and honestly, I loved them all...in the order listed. We paired our drinks with their charcuterie board which was also delicious (and a bit skimpy), and I'd say the overall experience was wonderful and I will be visiting again!
I love apres! The ambiance is top tier. Fun place to come with friends. The seltzer in my opinion is a bit flavorless but light and good if in the mood for something not super unique. The alcohol content can sneak up on you though! Lots of room and moody vibe.
We love it here! The atmosphere is very cool a big garage filled with beautiful plants a lovely fire pit lots of games and comfy alcove seating. The seltzers are not my favorite, but they do accommodate the non-Beer drinking crowd. The two times we have been there. I have opted for slushies as well, which have been fun and beautiful. The service is always great. It is counter service, which at times can get busy, but we have gone early in the day during both of our visits which has been steady but not too busy. Although I prefer my bars to be adult only locations, this spot does tend to have families come out to it. read more
Visited for the first time on a rainy Sunday and loved it here! Apres has a beautiful, relaxed vibe, and the abundance of plants, and lights hanging from the ceiling really contributed to a warm atmosphere. Inside seating consists of tables, and beautifully cozy circular booths. Outside seating has a lovely fire pit as well as other seating areas away from the fire. Apres serves gluten-free small bites, and there was a Thai food truck. We weren't hungry so I can't comment on the food. There is also a back room that has cozy seating and is very quiet. Apres also has games on the tables that customers can feel free to play. My huband ordered a cider, which was delicious and not overly sweet. I got a seltzer which was very refreshing and had more flavor than your typical mass produced canned seltzer. Very friendly service here, and we appreciated being able to sample before making a decision. Great experience at Apres! read more

I typically dislike seltzers BUT I would definitely go back. Besides the beautiful interior and plethora of comfy seating, the drinks were really good. I forget the proper name for it but the one that's flavor is based off a Baja blast from Taco Bell is a must try read more

I love apres! The ambiance is top tier. Fun place to come with friends. The seltzer in my opinion is a bit flavorless but light and good if in the mood for something not super unique. The alcohol content can sneak up on you though! Lots of room and moody vibe. read more

What a special place! My husband and I were here attending a birthday celebration for a friend. They have a wonderful back room for private events. They have many tables and seating areas or even standing areas to drink and spend time with friends. They also have a wonderful space outside. They had a heater and a fire pit going last night it was gorgeous! If you are looking for quiet, do not go here in peak hours it was pretty loud and I did a lot of asking someone to repeat themselves. Now they have a limited snack menu, Gouda plate, olives etc. Their beverages, delightful. I am one who normally drinks cider or hard liquor. I have never been a fan or beer or seltzers, I am not a "white claw" person. Apres knows how to make Seltzer!!! Their Seven majors (their version of an Arnold Palmer) so light, so refreshing. Their Hi Seas slushy, yum! My husband had their BocadillaVeleno, he was impressed, it is Guava, Cilantro and lime, the cilantro really shows at the finish. He tried their Avondale, he enjoyed it is Raspberry and Kiwi. Tote Road he also tried but out of the three was not his favorite he thinks it may have been the Elderberry he was not a fan of. You approach the bar and order then head out and find a place to hang out. Jamaica was tending bar and an absolute delight! Was excited to hear it was out first visit in and was eager to explain their Seltzers! They have a beautifully displayed merch wall which of course I had grab a sweatshirt, and they have a cooler with 4-packs to go, of course I left with a couple of Seven majors 4 packs. It was too good to leave behind! On the way out I saw they have board games, now I truly look forward to going back with a group of friends, who does not enjoy good company and game of Sorry and some of the best Seltzer I have ever tasted! read more

A friend mentioned this place so I decided to check it out. It's in a fun area with other breweries and bars. They have a big board with all their seltzer, ciders and other drinks. I have not had hard seltzer before so I asked for a taste. I also tried one of their ciders. They both were okay, nothing that I wanted a full glass of. They also sell cans of their seltzer to take home. I loved the atmosphere there, open air space, people playing cards, corn toss, etc. The place was full and lively. read more
Somehow the Portland drinking scene is better post pandemic, and Apres is a big reason why. Hard seltzer is in, so opening a massive, trendy, hard seltzer brewery? Pure genius. Located in the heart of East Bayside and surrounded by multiple breweries, wineries and distilleries, Apres is Truly (pun!) one of a kind. The space is classier than any other brewery in the area, while still remaining casual. Inside are numerous tables for large groups, with a lengthy wood bar in the middle for standing. Outside is a variety of seating, and is very dog friendly. You seat yourself and order at the indoor bar. There are currently 8 seltzer's on tap, which are $4 for 6 ounces or $6 for 16 ounces. The math doesn't make sense, but it's a great deal regardless (especially for the pints!). And how are the seltzers? Good luck reverting to White Claw or Bud Light Seltzer after this. These are in a different league, with none of the artificial, cloying after taste of the national brands. All are excellent, but the So Was Red (Rhubarb and Raspberry), Rosa Verde (Strawberry and Basil) and Pepo (Cantaloupe and Cucumber) were my personal favorites. House made hard cider currently isn't available, but will be soon. So, are there any drawbacks? The in-house food situation could use work. The meat board and cheese board were not so great. But they often have food trucks, and this isn't meant to be a restaurant. Apres is not just another stop in a crowded brewery area. It's a destination. So far it's been a packed house, and I don't see this changing based on the quality of the product and experience. But the line moves fast, and I'll be back many times. read more

Great new spot in Portland! They make their own seltzers which I think is so great! They have them all on tap and they sell them in cans. They also have other things on tap and other drinks if you aren't into seltzer. They have some interesting flavors and I love a few of them. The inside is wide open and amazing in the summer with outside seating and big garage doors. They have games you can play, and live music many days. No food, but they normally have a food truck. Great spot that I will keep coming back too! read more
We came here just a few weeks after their new location opened. I was excited to check out a place that specializes in seltzers and cider. I was slightly disappointed the ciders were not yet available but would want to come back and check them out. They let me sample a few of the selzters before deciding on my order. In my opinion, the flavors are VERY unique and didn't really like any except the one I ordered (one that had tea in the combination) - it was refreshing and I would get it again if I were here, mostly because it was the best option that they had. Although I wasn't a huge fan of any of the drinks, I loved the atmosphere!! It is super cute inside and definitely a fun place to hang out. I would be interested in coming back once they have cider options. I will say this place did seem popular- they had also just started selling cans of their selzters the day we were there and there were a lot of people coming up to purchase them. I think this place is popular with a lot of people but just not for my taste profile. Definitely worth checking out. read more
Wow.. this was one of our favorite breweries we have ever been to! For how popular Portland's brewery scene is, this was definitely our favorite. The vibe of the place was really incredible and they had a lot of outdoor seating. The drinks were also so good too. They had amazing seltzers and I am a big cider fan, so I was really impressed with their selection. They also have jolly ranchers in the women's bathroom and Reese's in the men's. :D read more

5 stars! Apres is a Portland must! While checking out the Portland brewery scene, we stumbled across Apres, and it turned into my fav spot! So many seltzers and ciders! It has such a great vibe! Open space, bright, fresh, indoor/outdoor seating, very fun comfortable spot to spend a whole afternoon. Being our first time and new to the menu we walked up the bar and the service was fantastic! Even with a decent sized line behind us, the service was so friendly, explained the menu, and gave recommendations. I was so excited to try all the different seltzers and ciders, on tap! We tried a few small sized pours of seltzers, which were all great, very subtle and light, super easy to drink. They also have a specialty rotating slushee cocktail, which I obviously had to try!! It was pina colada with boba, which was so fun! We also got some cheese to share, which was a hugh portion of cheese/lots of crackers and came with the perfect jam pairing. Overall Apres was my one of my favorite spots in Portland. Highly recommend! Will be beck! read more
Après is one of those places that does everything right. In a time when seltzers have become the new craft beer, Après offers subtly fruit-forward selzters and ciders to patrons in a venue that is designed to wow it's guests. The venue is open and bright due to it's large garage doors, but there is a mix of old and new that makes the space hip and cool. There is various seating with bar seats, table seats, couch seating, and the ever popular side couches that are designed for small groups to sip and talk. The facility is picture perfect. As far as the seltzers at Après, they certainly match the allure of the venue. The seltzers are lightly carbonated and do not leave you with that weird syrupy aftertaste that most commercial seltzers have. Some of my favorites are the Tote Road (mixed berries), Avondale (raspberry and kiwi), and Plimoth (cranberry, mandarin, and rosemary). There is always a food truck at the venue or a small business that is making food on the inside of the venue, and the staff is always so nice and willing to help you navigate the different flavors of seltzers and ciders. I definitely will be continuing to come back! read more
Pretty cool vibe and a good selection of cider and seltzer's. I would say the highlight is the vibe. A better selection of beers or wines for those who aren't keen or either seltzer or ciders would really make this place great. Either way a nice place to hang out for a few drinks read more

My wife and I love to go out, but she doesn't really enjoy beer so sometimes the breweries are not the best option for us. This place was fantastic for both of us. She was able to enjoy many of the seltzers, and I enjoyed several of the siders. The vibe is great, The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food truck they had on hand was fantastic! read more
WOW! We saw this place walking by one morning and peeked in the windows. We came back later and it was probably one of our top 3 stops in Portland. We got there early enough to grab a cozy booth. The seltzers were awesome with funky flavors to try. My husband is not much of a seltzer guy but they did have a couple beer options too. We had the cheese board to snack on, which didn't disappoint. They also had a pop-up pizza shop there, but we didn't try any as we planned on eating elsewhere. Would definitely add this to your list of must visit places in Portland, if for no other reason that the ambience and decor. read more
