I reached out to Luna Physical Therapy because I had questions about starting PT soon and my provider recommended them. I was very clear that I wasn't ready to schedule yet -- I just wanted information. Instead of answering questions or offering a brief consult, my call was canceled simply because I wasn't prepared to book appointments on the spot. That felt dismissive and sales-driven rather than patient-centered. As someone recovering from surgery, I expect to be able to ask questions and make informed decisions about my care without pressure. This interaction made it clear that Luna prioritizes booking over listening. I won't be moving forward and will be sharing this experience with my provider.a read more

Thomas is the best match for my needs. He is reliable, highly skilled, encouraging and patient. I am so glad my PCP recommended Luna. I am making slow and steady progress as my 1st 6 week session comes to an end. Looking forward to getting stronger and more confident during the 2nd 6 week session. High recommend Luna and Thomas. read more

NEVER EVER EVER Have a doctor send a referral to this place. They will harass and call you ALOT from different toll-free numbers. Every time I block one, they call from a different one. It's so bad that I am considering switching doctors from the doctor who sent me information to this place. I don't want it, and they don't understand. I will have to file a report for harassment and deceptive trade practices with my Texas AG regarding this. They don't understand NO.. If you're a doctor, NEVER send patients to the harassing place. If you're a client, then block every number and never go through. read more

Chris is terrific! He endeavors to understand individual needs and tailors a physical therapy program to successfully address them and get my knee back in shape. He provides excellent advice, including cautions, to promote effective recovery. I specifically requested Chris because I used him for earlier PT, so I already had a relationship. I can't speak to dealing with Luna outside of my prior experience with Chris, but it's disappointing to read many negative reviews about experiences with the company rather with individual therapists. read more

after the painstaking process of getting a physician referral, setting up an account, obtaining insurance information and confirmation of approval, and an ACTUAL appointment, the appointment with the therapist Venkatesh Sappidi was cancelled without any information or notice. I assume this was done by the therapist. I had to call to inquire why, and it turns out that therapists do not serve Katy, TX. This was very unprofessionally done, and very distressing to the patient and family. read more

Luna is a scam. They told me in my initial consultation that my deductible will be $30-$40 per therapy, and now they charge my health insurance 4 times more than the cost out of pocket . I' m going to pay in deductibles more than I'd have paid as a cash payer patient. As a cash payer I was supposed to pay $750.00, now I have to pay in deductible more than $1000 on top of the hundreds they charged my health insurance. read more

I would not recommend Luna Physical Therapy. I would not take their service for free. I am a current cancer patient that needed therapy to help recover from my surgeries. When i cancelled last minute, they charge a 90 fee, which is absolutely understandable. However, when their therapist does the same, there is no other therapist and I just waste my time. Terrible business model, DO NOT USE. read more

This isn't a review of the physical therapist who worked with me (he was excellent), but rather a complaint about Luna's billing practices. Last July, I suffered lateral ankle fractures in both ankles. Once I was able, my doctor wrote a prescription for physical therapy. Shortly after, I received a call from Luna to schedule at-home visits. The representative I spoke with said they had confirmed with my insurance company that each visit would cost between $0 and $50. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed, and everything went smoothly until two weeks ago, when my credit card was charged over $400. Then, today, I received a bill for an additional $700. I strongly advise anyone considering this service to double- and triple-check both with Luna and their insurance provider about the actual costs before agreeing to schedule any appointments. It's hard to focus on healing when I'm overwhelmed by unexpected financial stress. read more

Hopefully the PT will go well, but in hindsight, I would never try to set up an account and get an appointment with Luna. Everything is automated, call back numbers are not consistent, you have to schedule the simplest of calls, and when a human actually called me, her voice was unintelligible. I don't know what part of the world she was calling from. Once I got through to someone to make the actual appointment, the person was abrupt and quite rude. Hoping the PT will be a polite, friendly, professional person to make up for the hassle of dealing with Luna. I would never have gone with Luna had I known what it would be like. read more

I actually complete all the exercises daily because my therapist comes to my home and holds me accountable! (not that I need it...) This is so efficient without driving, parking, painfully walking to a therapist. She comes in on time, gives you your new homework, discusses progress towards goals----like having a personal trainer except its for your health. read more

I called several times. Their robo system says someone will call me back to make appointment. A robo calls me backs, says press "1" , I press 1 and Ms Robo hangs up on me. Repeat, repeat, repeat....find a human, skip Robots. read more

I just got stood up for my physical therapist and didn't even get a heads up, text, phone call or anything. I still tried to reschedule and was put on hold for over 45 minutes. They have the audacity to charge $90 if you cancel or reschedule appointments without 24 hours in advance. I am extremely disappointed and won't ever use them or recommend them again. read more

My physical therapist Cat Sanders is 'Simply the Best'! I recently had a total knee replacement and now need PT to aid my recovery. Cat came to my home and immediately went to work. She arrives on time, discusses my pain levels, daily movements and concerns that I have regarding my healing. Cat gets me! She explains everything as she works so that I can continue working once our session had ended. I can feel myself getting stronger... she also teaches my husband on how he can assist me. I received outstanding physical therapy from Keelin who helped me recover from two torn meniscus, a damaged ACL, and pinched nerves, but didn't want surgery. With diligent therapy I was pain free after my sessions with Keelin. It helped that I had a state of the art gym in my residence which gave us the equipment we needed. The best part was her flexibility and ability to come to me and work with my schedule. I'd recommend Luna to anyone. read more

Physical Therapist was very knowledable with the type of therapy my wife needed after hip replacement. Extremely helpful.

Very happy with my choice to move over to Luna. Stephen is exceptional at his job and explains everything in detail. I really appreciate the one on one work, prior therapy company passed me off to someone else for half the session so that the therapist could see more people per day. The cost is the same and they come to my house, so win/win. read more

I was given a referral to Luna by my rheumatologist. They have been amazing from the get-go. Luna On-Demand Physical Therapy sounds like a great idea, and it is. But when I called to sign up, I was asked for my street address in Montrose and informed that no PT's were available nearby. Luna has been providing me PT in my home for several months. They have handled all the billing to Medicare + Medicare Supplement and getting any documentation needed from my Dr. Their therapist, Arthur Lee, is really great. He is very polite, always on time, and dedicated to my improvement. When he is here, his total attention is on my care ... no interruptions to take calls/messages for other clients, etc. I have made so much progress with my issues and knee pain. I highly recommend Luna. It is great to have thorough, challenging PT sessions right here in my home instead of having to go to a gym/clinic. Thank you Luna! read more

The company behaves like an illegitimate company. I wanted to get services with them so I had to fill out a form with the other home health company so they would send proof that I had unenrolled from that service. On the form they asked for a contact name and the business address of the new provider which would be Luna. So I called the local number for Luna and asked for a first name as a contact name either of the person I was speaking to on the phone or the director who I had talked to before. The person on the phone told me to call my doctor for that information this is the second time someone there had told me to call my doctor for information that Luna would have but my doctor would not have. So I explained that the doctor would not have Luna's business address or a contact name of Luna employees. The person then said he was not there to help me fill out a form. I remained polite though he was extremely rude and explained that I was not asking anyone to help me fill out the form, I was asking for a contact name, his first name or the first name of the director or anyone there and the business address. He refused. I told him that was an odd practice and usually the only types of businesses that refuse to provide business addresses or the name of someone who works there are illegitimate businesses. Medicare uses a company that takes complaints on medical services instead of the insurance itself which medicare handles directly. I called that company and they need to know where the office I spoke to was located. I thought it was in Houston but I don't know as they refused to provide location information. That company showed a CA listing but no Houston listing for Luna. On Luna's website they have two business addresses listed, one in CA and one in TN. I left a msg and emailed the corporate office in CA and in two weeks no one ever got back to me. This is a business that sends physical therapists to people's homes but will not provide names or a business address not even a city the services or located out of, such as Houston. This is very sketchy and the refusal of anyone from the local or the corporate office to call and explain this strange policy is even odder. read more

Great concept, bad execution. I called regarding physical therapy for a fracture. I was told all local therapists were booked/unavailable for two weeks due to holidays, etc. I have no issue with this delay and not surprised considering the time of year (December 2021). I accepted the soonest appointment, about 1 1/2 week out and was content to have something scheduled. A few days later, I get a call from Luna. Apparently, the therapist/representative made a mistake, and I am told the therapist is no longer accepting new patients. Again, they say about two weeks out before anyone else is available unless I am open to a mid-day appointment the following week. I agree to it and arrange to be off from work for the time. My initial appointment was after hours. The day of my appointment, the therapist no shows. There is no call/email/text from the therapist or Luna. I call Luna and they have no idea why the therapist did not show up. They kindly let me know I will not be charged - as if they are doing me a favor. I explained that I lost work time and need to be reimbursed or receive a complimentary session. They tell me it is against their policy but can offer me to waive cancellation fee if I ever need to cancel. This does nothing to replace my lost income. The manager tells me patients are valued by the company, but they can offer no compensation for no shows on the part of their therapist. The manager offers to place me on a high priority list. Considering the history, I have no guarantee the next appointment with be problem free. They will charge patients $90 if we cancel with less than 24 hours. Their patient policies are one sided and their actions don't' support their words of being valued by the company. I am sure therapist no shows are infrequent but when they do Luna should show the same respect for their patient's times that they request for their therapist's time. Until them, any mention of valuing patient's time is talk. read more

I just moved to TX and signed up for Luna Physical Therapy about 3 weeks ago. I signed up for their wait list to get an appt since they have no one available for me...not a good feeling at all. After 2 weeks they automatically took me off the waitlist and they didn't tell me this at all I was kind of a shock to me. Then they kept canceling me on the wait list because no one scheduled an appointment for me. Being the persistent person that I am I hung in there and put myself back on the waitlist. I got a text 2 days later for appointment, so I said finally ok. Then today, 2 days later, I just recieved a text saying my appointment has been canceled. I'm thinking what is this about, what now? Just got an email which said I have canceled my appointment. I DID NOT cancel my appointment where did they get this information? This company is really messed up I do not recommend them at all. A very frustrated patient in need of PT. read more
