A cute little rooftop bar with the entrance hidden away in the Bulla Gastrobar Restaurant. It's got somewhat of a view of Tampa and has relaxed, low-set tables to lounge on while you sip and chat. Can get relatively busy after the 5pm workday, but I do like how they offer happy hour. I ended up getting the Sangria Blanca and the Bougie Palmer this time around. The sangria was light and refreshing, not overly sweet like how other white wine sangrias can be. I like how they added berries in it to add a decorative touch. The palmer was well-balanced and more citrus-y than it was fruity. Also pretty refreshing for a hot day. I've noticed in general that most of the drinks here are mixed well; they don't err on being too sweet or too strong, just well-balanced with the flavors not trying hard to dominate one another in the drinks. read more

Stopped by on a Thursday night after hearing about Luna Lounge from a friend, and it was great! They were closing in about an hour and a half, plus it was a weekday, so it wasn't too busy. We found parking easily just across the street next to Green Lemon, but there were a few different lots along Howard in between different restaurants. You walk into Bulla and go to the back where there is a sign for Luna Lounge. There's an elevator that will take you to the roof (fifth floor). The only downfall is that the bathroom is not on the same floor as Luna Lounge. You need to take the elevator down one floor (to the fourth floor) to get to the bathrooms. Not a biggie but good to know. The bartender was super friendly and gave us a menu to look over. They had cocktails, sangrias, and other drinks, along with food. I saw reviews saying it was a small rooftop bar but it was bigger than I was expecting. Seating might be limited if it got really busy, but it's more than comfortable. I went for the Red Sangria which was yummy but nothing fancy (red wine, vodka, soda, and fruit on top). The Dirty Martini that my friend ordered had miniature pickle-stuffed olives which were a nice touch. You can see a beautiful sunset in the city of Tampa, the atmosphere is pleasant and beautiful although the tables are somewhat uncomfortable, it is a place for some drinks before eating in Bulla (restaurant below) or for some tapas while you drink, they do not have an extensive menu like Bulla. To drink I ordered a Rose Sangria that was good, from appetizers some brisket montaditos that are a mixture of flavors for the tomato jam that is delicious, the tuna tartar was delicious but they do not serve the same amount as in Bulla and the flatbread of mushrooms salami was very delicious. The food is the same as noisy so it is guaranteed that it is delicious but it is not a place to eat. The service is mostly at the bar so we had to go to make the orders or pay the bill. read more

The place has potential, but isn't it as is. It's a smaller rooftop bar and a bit chaotic any time I've gone. More of a place to grab drinks but they do have small plates as well. This last time we were directed to order off of a QR code which I had no problem with. The menu there stated an automatic 20% service charge is added to all bills. When we received our final bill the end of the night via text, it had the 20% service charge plus an additional 20+% tip added on. For not even having any server or table service, I was not happy about the 40+% tip that was automatically charged. I reached out twice to have the additional tip removed and never heard back. I'm assuming some don't notice everything that's added on their bill - I'm not a fan of shady business tactics though so don't plan to return any time soon. When I do, I won't be using their preferred QR ordering method. read more

I have been to this lounge a couple of times. It's just ok on the spectrum of all the rooftop lounges and bars in Tampa. I wouldn't highly recommend this one. It is small and a bit cramped. Tye tables do not get cleaned frequently, so there are always empty cocktail glasses everywhere. The elevator up to the lounge is lo aged in the back of the bar area to Bulla. It is small and very slow. It doesn't hold a lot of people. It makes a lot of creaking noises and recently is shaking and vibrating profusely as we moved from floor 2 to 4. I was terrified and thought we were about to be stuck in there. As for the bar, the service was quick. One of my drinks was served in a nice cocktail glass and the other a plastic cup, which was odd. The plastic cup drink was mostly islce to be honest and not worth the money, 2 sips and it was gone. The good news is the same cocktails are sold downstairs in the restaurant, so really, you don't even have to deal with the lounge if you don't want to. The view of downtown Tampa is so so. Other bars have a better view and a closer view, to be honest. Parking is free in the parking lot next to Bulla. Valet is 10$, and if you park in the garage now, beware 717 owns it, and it's like 15$ to pay to park in there. read more

This is a cute and very vibe-y rooftop bar in south Tampa on soho. Note it's probably the smallest rooftop we've been to, so having a seat at the bar or one of their casual low coffee tables can be hard to snag. I recommend going before sunset as close to 5 as possible in order to get a good spot! You take the elevator up through BULLA to get there! Both the red and white sangria are great (pictures) but the pan con tomate is also a great app my friends will share. read more

Love going up here to watch the sunset in SoHo. The crowd is what you expect for the neighborhood, but the deals are good especially during happy hour and the drinks are not bad at all especially if you love Spanish beer or wine. Cocktails are pretty decent too. Get a nightlife-clubby vibe later at night and that is not a bad thing at all! Definitely a fun place to catch up with a friend or go on a date. Excellent spot for a beautiful view of Tampa! Luna Lounge is located on the 5th floor of Bulla Gastrobar. I love this cool roof top lounge especially when it's a bit colder out. There are tables and a good amount of comfy seating. You can order appetizers from downstairs along with drinks. The drinks are always great! Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is perfect for date night, girls night, happy hour, etc. My favorite drink is the Lemongrass Collins - so refreshing and delicious. I highly recommend it! read more

A rooftop bar atop the Bulla Gastrobar restaurant in S Tampa. It's smaller than other rooftop bars in the area, but a nice view of downtown. It gets pretty busy for happy hour. There is parking in the garage below and in several lots and valet on the side of the building. There is a limited food menu upstairs, but a more extended menu if you want to go downstairs to the restaurant. On this visit, I met a few friends for happy hour at the rooftop after work. It was kinda rainy and cold. There wasn't a lot of roof to protect us from the elements either. One other observation, the isn't a restroom on that 5th floor of the rooftop. You must take the elevator down to another floor to use the restroom, there are no stairs either. Since they use the elevator a lot... It can be somewhat of a wait. Onto the food and cocktails! I had a martini..Came with a pickle stuffed inside the olive. It was made well. My other friends all enjoyed their drinks too! For food, We tried: TARTAR DE ATÚN $14 Ahi tuna, mango, avocado, soy sesame vinaigrette, Sriracha aioli ... subbed out the crackers for cucumbers...fabulous! First, came from Mole Y Abuela rooftop (just continuing the fun!) & proceeded to enjoy Luna Lounge's rooftop Happy Hour, which is 50% any alcoholic beverage (wine, cocktail, sangria, beer) & gets extended into the weekend like Mole Y Abuela as well! LEMONGRASS COLLINS (5/5): Their version of Tom Collins, great & exactly wanted in this weather, everything you'd want in a craft cocktail - close to perfection! PROPER GIN & TONIC (4/5): Solid & appreciated the flavors, but a sweeter gin, so needed extra tonic or lime juice to balance it out. BOUGIE PALMER (5/5): Reminds me of Starbucks Tazo tea line - this is a vodka based drink & included yummy peach oolong tea in the mix. For the record, their Happy Hour continues thru the weekend and includes 50% of everything: even including the pitchers! I was able to have a pitcher of sangria for $15 (NO JOKE). With a Yelp check-in, you also get a free side of their hummus and pita - which were also delicious. The vibe here is pretty chill and weather-permitting, the rooftop is peaceful. Wow, finally a SOHO bar with a view better than the Edge. If standing in the middle of the deck rail, you see downtown to the right and Raymond J stadium straight ahead, then sunset to the left. Went here for a HH on a Wednesday night. Wasn't too crowded and we went up to the rooftop bar. Is especially nice at thIs time of year it's quite pretty and the views are great but the seating at the tables is a bit uncomfortable seats are really hard. The HH menu is half off most drinks and listed food. We had the sausage flatbread and the hummus both were good. While the servers were friendly actually getting prompt refills was hit or miss. I would recommend definitely a cool place to hang out. read more

This place is awesome, first let me give credit where credit is due. Cyrus, Kyle and Leilani... I hope I got that last one right. Her name is very unique to me. They're all friendly, welcoming and a breath of fresh air. The view was really nice and the service was one of the best I've had since my arrival to this beautiful city. I was on the hunt for a rooftop locale and although it was a little hard to find for me, i didn't give up and I'm glad i didn't either. They did not disappoint one bit. The venue has a really nice environment, the hummus was delicious and I'll definitely bring my lady here real soon. Kyle knows his wine, and i hear it's happy hour 4 to 7 everyday of the week. I originally asked for the red pinot but Kyle recommended a different option that was spot on. They all deserve some props from management and i say a raise as well. To top it off, if you check-in on Yelp, you get the hummus dish as part of your check-in but i am sure the rest of their menu dishes are as good or even better than the hummus i had. I simply came to relax and take a break from work. I paced myself so they'll be plenty of menu reasons to come back. Pay them a visit if you want a good view, good drinks and good food. read more

Big fan of Bulla. I mean come on, Spanish Tapas restaurants are basically the most important part of being a 20 something in the year 2019... Luna Lounge was a no brainer for me. My first impression: wow Bulla is so swanky and fun, love it here! My impression quickly changed when I stepped into the elevator that would deliver me to my ultimate destination, the rooftop bar. It was just nice. The low benches and stools felt very on brand and the lights above the bar were ~cute~ The happy hour was fantastic! I was super excited to try the beer sangria and was not let down. It was easy to drink but still memorable and special tasting. Here's what went wrong for me: no music. None. Nada. Zilch. And okay yes we got there right around opening at 4pm on a weekday-not exactly the most bumpin' time to be out on the town...and maybe somebody just forgot to hit the power switch but we sat out there for 2 hours sans tunes. And when I asked the server about it he shrugged and walked away. The food menu was pretty limited and didn't sparkle my fancy the way the restaurant menu does. I can overlook the less than stellar service overall. And I'm certain the music was just a glitch.. But I'm not going out of my way to gaze at the just meh view while eating marinated olives again here anytime soon. I'll take the olives to go and stay downstairs in the restaurant. read more

Luna was the perfect place to sit down, relax, and to enjoy the scenery. We decided to sit on the rooftop and enjoy the beautiful view of Tampa. I decided on ordering this berry drink (I can't remember the name because the bartender suggested it; but it's the only drink with berries I know!) and it was SO GOOD!! It was not too strong but not too bland. It was the perfect fresh drink for a Sunday morning. The bar tending service was attentive, clean, and very informative about the menu! The chairs and tables are really low. I think they serve a limited number of items from the Bulla menu. I've visited Luna Lounge on multiple occasions and always had a great experience until my 10/2 visit when I had to speak to the manager, Richy, regarding my bill. I visited the rooftop when they opened at 5pm on that Saturday, their happy hour goes from 5pm-7pm. When I got home, I noticed my bill was about 40% more than it should have been. I was not upset because everyone makes mistakes and I would have happily gone back in the future again if they knew how to handle my issue with professionalism. However, thanks to Richy, the manager, who by the way has zero manager qualitie, I will never be going back. At first when I called, I spoke to the hostess, Ryan who confirmed the happy hour prices for me with a bartender before I spoke to a manager. She then transferred me to Richy and I explained to him what had happened. At first he offered to refund me an amount that was completely wrong and less than it should be so I told him nicely what the correct refund should be and how I would like to adjust the tip as well when he issues me the refund. Keep in mind, they charged me over $100 for a bill that was $68, so I was trying to ask to adjust my 18% tip based off the correct bill amount vs. $111 they charged me. Yet this so-called "manager", Richy, has the nerve to get upset that I wanted to adjust the tip when they are the one who made the mistake and then he proceeds to hang up on me. I did receive the refund on my credit card for the correct amount, however, any individual who actually has manager qualities would know the server was at fault, submitted the refund, apologized for the misunderstanding and handled it like an adult instead of a pouty 5 year old. So this just goes to show you what type of people are running this establishment. There are PLENTY of other rooftops within Tampa where I have had better drinks and service, establishments such as Luna Lounge should keep in mind they are not the only rooftop in the Tampa area. read more
