The overall experience and food is good. Staff are friendly, place is clean. But the way the food comes out is not always consistent. I recently ordered the chicken and gyro plate. Very tasty but I seemed to have gotten the scraps from the bottom of the gyro container, no slices just crumbles of gyro meet. Never had it like that before (slices are the norm) and definitely nothing like the picture on the menu. Unfortunately, it was to go as I would have made a comment had I eaten in. The first time we went to Luna Grill was in Santa Barbara. It was a complete surprise it was in how delicious everything was. We loved it. We have been to the Oxnard location a couple of times and the food is not quite as good here. Yesterday we did an online order at Oxnard for curbside. When we pulled into the curbside parking space and called the number posted in the parking spot they said to come on in and get the food inside the restaurant. When I advised we had selected the curbside option he advised that for online orders curbside did not apply. Huh? Why then was I asked for my vehicle make, model and color? Perhaps to collect information on clients? I chose curbside for a reason - my disabled kid in the car. Going in was a pain! Additionally, I requested utensils and there were none in the bag. Good thing I checked! We were going to eat the food at the park for Father's Day. Last but not least, the food order was honked up. One of the orders had a whole wheat flatbread request and we didn't get it.The extra charge for a tiny spoonful of avocado is not worth it, and their garlic feta sauce is watery and not good at all. So disappointing! I hope someone reads this there and does something for their quality control. There is NO WHERE on their site to report an issue with the order or to provide feedback. Where do I start. We moved to the area 2 months ago, and I discovered this place and it WAS amazing. We were ordering EVERY DAY since is 5 minutes walk from my apartment, so what happened? I call this place "kinder surprise" since now you never know what are you going to get. For the las 2 weeks, ever time I order (and yes, we still order every day, until today) is a surprise. Sometimes the chicken is burned outside, sometimes I get 3 bites with chicken and the rest is lettuce and pita, I mean it taste great, but the price for 3 Pieces of chicken in a wrap is crazy. Before I would always have a small piece left from my wrap, because it was a good size, now I have to hunt for the chicken in the wrap, and the last 3 bites are just pita. Yesterday, the fries were soaking in oil, and apparently now you can't pick your sides as we used to do, so I can't replace the fries for hummus. I can go on with examples of how inconvenient this place has been. long story short, this place is changing owners, or menu or whatever, but is not what it used to be, which is a disappointment. You will be hungry because they are not changing prices, but they are reducing quantity considerably, and limiting the sides you can pick. read more

The food was ok. It lacked flavor. The meat was warm and ok but the sauce was bland and so was my Greek salad. It barely had any feta and only two olives. The refreshment selection was nice and different. The fries are a little spicy but it has more feta and flavor than the other meal. The fries themselves are really good. I ordered it as a meal for one with a side of rice and I was full half way through so now I have lunch for tomorrow. The falafel's were the best I've ever had, I was going to substitute them out for vegetables because I've never had a great falafel but now I have a new favorite place! The husband ordered the chipotle chicken wrap in the pita and said it was good also. The fries were yummy and hot. The kids each had the quesadilla and finished it. Usually other places they arrive full of grease and the kids never eat it all. I'd say it was the perfect portion for a child. The layout of the place is kinda weird. Entering through the main door you walk past other patrons tables while they are eating. The line starts right past a table and if it's a long line people are lining up next to those tables you first walk past. There is no trash can by the front of store so you have to walk past more people to clear your table. I love the tables, chairs and flooring. The ambiance is inviting and cozy, fast food meets sit down restaurant. We love it! read more

I love Luna Grill and would give more stars but today I ordered an Apple Walnut salad to go and it was missing half of the ingredients (there were no walnuts or cranberries). Remember to triple check your order. They go over it with you before you check out, but I guess we should actually open the containers and check ingredients to be sure. read more

My husband and I used to order Luna grill at least once a week or every other week, it was one of our favorite place but in the past year it has gone completely downhill, the meat is or not cooked enough that we can't eat it or over cooked which makes it not very good, I always ordered the lentil soup and I would usually get very little lentil and vegetables mostly just broth, every time we order there is at least one or two items that have a weird taste and we often get stomach ache after eating there. We are really disappointed because we used to eat there often we loved the place, even if the employees were not the nicest. We havent tried to ventura location yet so I am not sure if its this location that is dysfunctional or the entire brand that changed their recipes or ingredients! read more
