First time to a Luna Grill. Food was good. There's no hating but not too much loving either. Food here seems pretty healthy. The hummus with the warm pita was amazing, would get that every time. I asked the cashier what's a popular dish, to which I was thinking something with gyro but she told me the chipotle chicken wrap which caught me off guard but I got it anyway lol. It was bland but I added extra chipotle sauce, sriracha and peppers, then it was good. Chicken was a tad over cook.. The gyro is somewhat salty but not too bad. Overall I still enjoyed this place and will try more things on the menu. read more

When the employee brought my food to my table she said my Gyro wrap had no yogurt sauce......She ...Was....Wrong! I brought my plate back to the front counter. In a kind way I explained what happened. I guess he was the manager who looked at my Gyro wrap and he agreed it had the white yogurt sauce. He immediately told a cook to make me a new plate & that he himself will bring it to my table. I guess out of his embarrassment of his employees he had not apologized to me. Even when I was walking out after my meal I heard no employee say thank you to me as I was leaving. The cashier did get it right because on the receipt it said No yogurt sauce. It would've been a good thing if the cashier had mentioned the No yogurt sauce to the cook or the server double checking with the cook it had no yogurt sauce. So, there was a lack of communication here between employees. And it was not a very busy time of the day either. To be fair, the pita bread was warm and soft and the meat & salad was flavorful & delicious. This visit would be my fourth time eating here. Luna Grill cooks please pay more careful attention to special requests. P.S. I also forgot to mention that when my Gyro wrap was made the second time around there was less meat than the first time. The first time there was a generous amount of meat. I don't think I'll be ordering this Gyro wrap again. I wish I took another pic but I was getting really hungry. read more

New location in Oxnard, such great addition to the area since there aren't too many great eateries here. Service was nice, they make all the meats to order. We all enjoyed the gyros, love the tzatziki and their fries are great. Kids meals are generous, the salads and plates are large portions and worth the $12. It was everything I was craving and hoping for! They are serving up some delicious food!!! Here's what we got: -Gyro Sandwich - meat was tender, juicy and cut thicker not shaved and dry. It was very well seasoned and packed with a lot of herby flavor! The hummus and basmati rice were literally perfect. The salad could've been a little better and I wish there were yellow peppers or pickled beets or turnips. -Garlic Sauce - smooth, velvety, garlicky deliciousness!!! First off I love what they did with the design of this spot. Very nice and modern when you walk in. I ordered the Gyro with Fries total is $10.00 The portion size was good- the pita bread was nice and soft and not too many red onions or drenched in sauce. I did feel like it was lacking something... I didn't get any pop- something to stand out and make you want to order this again. It's good but nothing special in my opinion. The food was pretty standard. It wasn't exceptional nor was it bad. For a mediterranean place I felt like it had the right amount of flavor to not disappoint. They need to do a better job cleaning tables. I came with a party of 3 and there was no where to sit because none of the tables had been cleaned off. The only tables clean were seats for 2 and that's probably because no one sat on those tables. I approached the only table that didn't have a number holder. It did have a drink on there though. I took the drink and moved it the table next to ours. I wanted a booth table for my party because they're much more comfortable but every table had number holders on them. Initially I thought people simply went to the bathroom or something and was saving the table but then I looked around to every table, even those with people eating and noticed everyone still had their numbers. I didn't believe that everyone in the restaurant was waiting for another dish and decided the waiters simply didn't take the numbers when they finished bringing out the food. This might seem like a an insignificant part of the experience but it's a big deal. What good is ordering sit down food when there's no place to sit down. And yes it's okay if it's busy and there's no place to sit down because it's packed but that wasn't the case. Tables just weren't cleaned. No one wants to have to scope out the entire room for who's reserving a seat. No one wants to be the guy that sit down on someones reserved table, the guy who couldn't take the hint that if there's a number holder on the table, it means the food hasn't come out yet, signifying someone else's dining experience isn't over. My friend went and asked a waiter what the deal was about these tables with number holders and they didn't know. I'm willing to give Luna Grill another shot but really hope the next time I come their tables are cleared. read more

Ever since I've been on this ketogenic lifestyle, it's been a slight challenge trying to find something to eat when I'm out that is keto-friendly. I was with the parents after coming from Ojai for a short excursion and so we decided to stop by the Collection and find something to eat. I wanted to have chicken and saw that this was a Mediterranean restaurant on my Yelp app. Surely they'd have chicken, I thought. We agreed to eat here and it's a fast food joint where you order at the counter. They had a few of the traditional Mediterranean plates and I settled on the chicken kabob. We also ordered a beef kabob plate. Plates come with a Mediterranean salad and saffron rice with pita bread. Well, I obviously couldn't have the rice or pita bread so I asked if I could substitute the rice with more salad and she offered the arugula salad to which I agreed. The plates came out and it looked appetizing. Although I thought there could have been more salad as it seemed a little sparse on my plate. I'm used to the Mediterranean place I would frequent in Beverly Hills and when I had ordered a double salad, it practically was a mound of salad filling the plate. The chicken was tender, not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere though. It also didn't come on the skewer like the beef kabob did as well as lacked the grilled onions and bell peppers that are usually associated with a kabob. It was just the chicken chunks on the plate. I thought kabobs were normally grilled on skewers? The salad was mostly greens with a few red onions. I thought they could have put more onions, added some olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and feta cheese which is the traditional way to eat Mediterranean salad, and add a nice dressing. I had to ask for some olive oil and side of lemons because there didn't seem to be hardly any dressing if there was any at all. It was a decent experience but I probably wouldn't eat here again as I thought the plate was a bit pricey at $12.55 for what you get and there wasn't much quantity of food. read more
