Manager killing business, harassing customers and employees. Kitchen is suspicious and food went downhill. I recently picked up food in person Beware No masks, No gloves! Understaffed : 2 employees only, multitasking with no gloves. The current manager is destroying the business, employees all quit, he is odious and extremely rude. This place use to be great and clean, I supported this business until I saw what's going on inside. I eat here every week and order catering for my office lunch meetings often. They are so great about getting the orders out on time and even make my life a little easier by allowing a little earlier of a pick up time. Laurie has helped me many times and she is a total gem. 2.35 Stars - Disappointing to say the least. Cleanliness 4 - Place was clean, there weren't any tables left unbussed or not wiped down. Place looks brand new. Bathrooms clean, drink stations were clean! Kitchen looked clean through the order window. Ambiance 4 - bright, high ceilings, open space, airy with outdoor patio. Decor was certainly California. They are going for the good food fresh food fast casual feel, I suppose. Service 3 - Got my order wrong (and several others in the restaurant that day apparently from what I overheard), but they did all of us right by fixing the orders once we told them about it and not asking for the wrong thing they gave us back. Good customer service. Food / quality / flavor 0.25 - This place is going for a fresh(er) version of Daphnes, which in my opinion, is a decent watered-down Greek food for the American palette. Unfortunately, while the look and feel is up to par with their competitor, their food isn't. For one, nothing was properly seasoned! I ordered their pita combo - specifically the Falafel pita and a side of fries. They got the fries wrong on the first attempt and gave me rice, but returned with fries later in the meal (mildly inconvenienced). Pita was nice. The rice was bland. Was there any salt in it? It tasted like it had come out of a rice cooker without any seasoning. Falafels were fried and crispy, yet too were flavorless chewy pucks of garbanzo--i didn't taste a hint of garlic or cumin...it was super bland and dry. I went back and asked for Tzatziki sauce because I had asked for it upon ordering and they informed me it was in the pita (coulda fooled me) - he gave me a couple additional tubs for free - and I doused my sad looking pita. Didn't help. The Tzatziki sauce was also bland. Tasted like no effort was used to zest up plain yogurt to make it taste like something that would jazz up a falafel pita. I looked around for a salt shaker...I never do that at restaurants because I know how heavily they salt their foods...but this time I needed it! The fries came out and were hot crispy...and salted properly! The one thing not Greek was the one thing seasoned lol. Value 0.5 - a little over $12 for my order of Pita, side of fries, and a water cup. Pretty steep for the quality and quantity of food received. Where's the nearest Daphne's? read more

We gave Luna Grill a try last night via Postmates and we were not disappointed. Our order arrived fast, hot and beautifully packaged. We'll re-use the take out containers for packed lunches. It's a higher quality container and we want to be environmentally conscious. We ordered the chicken, ground sirloin and Bistro filet kabobs. All were very good, especially the ground sirloin. Very close to Persian koobideh. The rice was light and aromatic, pita - soft & fresh. The spicy hummus was delicious as well. We'll be back. read more

Luna Grill was a place I'd always wanted to go to. I go to the Collection often enough, but always had plans to go some place else to eat with either my friends or my husband. Today I went to the movies with some good friends to see Girls Trip & we were hungry afterwards. We decided to eat here. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I am a WFPB (whole foods, plant based- limited oil or no oil, no refined sugar, flours, absolutely no animal products). I ordered the veggie plate with the spicy hummus on the side & no yogurt sauce. The plate includes a veggie kabob (onions, yellow squash, mushrooms), basmati rice, garden salad, 3 pieces of pita bread & hummus. It was a nice hot day & the AC was out in the restaurant so we decided to sit outside. The manager was very nice. He delivered the food to our table & would periodically check on us. We asked him for the raspberry dressing, which was delicious! We asked him if we could get the hummus plate if we checked in on Yelp. He informed us that it was a promotional offer they no longer offer, but if we downloaded the Luna Grill app, we could get points & tack what we spent & if we did that we would get $5 to use on appetizers. So, I'll do that next time. I loved my dish, the service, the location. I'm very impressed with the speed & great service. Definitely be back soon! FYI, they will be opening locations in Camarillo & Thousand Oaks within the year. read more

Very poor attitude of servers and manager. Food took way too long was sitting in window while she worked on to go orders. When i went to counter and asked for food she just dismissed me saying we will bring it soon. I said just hand it to me i see it in the window. She refused and went back to her togo orders. A few minutes later they brought it and everything was cold. I took food back in and got my money back except for the overly priced cokes at $3 each. Never again. Manager just kept saying "we are busy, food takes 15 mins or so". No apology. And there were only two other tables busy in restaurant who already had their food. A new eating establishment at The Collection in Oxnard.... yay !! Don't get me wrong, I like the others already there, but I always like new choices for where I can eat. I really enjoyed Luna Grill. First of all, their pita bread is some of the best I've had, maybe even THE best...... I love the texture, soft and fresh. Loved it. The hummus was quite tasty, too. Definitely enjoyed them together. The lentil soup was flavorful, but I probably would have preferred it being pureed. I like a thicker soup, and this was more of a broth with the lentils and veggies added. Not bad..... just not my personal preference with soup. As for the entrees, I got a chicken kabob. The chicken was mostly moist, but a couple of the pieces were borderline overly cooked and overly charred, but most were just fine. The marinade used was a nice flavor. I really enjoyed the Greek salad, nice amount of feta cheese and Kalamata olives, and the dressing was awesome. I asked what was in it that gave such a distinct, delicious flavor, but they only knew it came in a pre-made packet of dry herbs and spices to which they added liquids. Oh well. It still tasted really, really good. I'm looking forward to returning. Good quality fresh food that was quite tasty, as well. We go to The Collection often, so I'm quite sure this will become a new staple for me and my husband. read more

Excellent lunch! We came here yesterday for lunch and the patio had plenty of outside seating. We had the chicken wrap in pita with a side of fries and the beef kebab plate (came with a salad, rice, pita, grilled tomatoes & dipping sauce). I was visiting Oxnard and wanted to try this restaurant as I had seen one being constructed in Sherman Oaks weeks earlier. The restaurant was clean, nicely designed, and spacious. I sat outside and had a nice view of sunset. The staff were friendly and attentive.I was impressed with all dishes ordered and their presentation including Sample Platter of Hummous, Cous Cous, , Falafel, Dolmadas and Pita, a Mediterranean Chicken Salad and a Chicken Kabob Plate. I must say that the Chicken was great tasting and tender. Looking forward to visiting the location closer to me in the not too distants. read more

I guess I will err on the side of caution, but I don't know. My first trip here was AMAZING. So dang good was their wrap! The portions were huge and the sweet potato fries were excellent. Don't be a dork like me though and ask for Ranch. They don't have any! :) #FacePalm However, my 2nd visit was very weird. I ordered the same thing because I am a creature of habit. The sweet potato fries were cold and almost doughy. The wrap was gross. Cold, falling apart, pieces crumbling. It tasted as if it had been sitting out for a LONG time. Much different, and much worse, than my first visit. Bottom line? I'll probably be back to give it one final go. In hindsight I should have returned the soggy sweet potato fries on my last visit. I'll try a different item next time and use their check-in offer. read more
