After speaking with others who recommended Platinum Affairs to me, I discovered a day-of-coordinator would be the most important vendor. In all honesty, I don't know what I would have done without Raquel. Even as a strong type A Bride who is extremely organized and prepared, Raquel asked the questions I didn't think of to FULLY prepare for the wedding. After the first meeting, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She brought an incredible sense of calm, professionalism, and organization to our wedding day, exactly what we needed. She also shared her industry knowledge for ideas, recommendations, and proper etiquette. She kept in contact with all our vendors before the wedding, days leading up to the wedding, and the day of the wedding. Raquel truly took the time to learn my husband and I, to fully understand what was important to US on our wedding day. Her preparation ensured all our vendors worked seamlessly together. Raquel managed to be everywhere at once, always a step ahead, always with a smile. She not only managed my vendors, but she also managed those guests that every bride and groom is worried about but obligated to invite (sorry not sorry). I honestly don't know how our day would have flowed without her. Thanks to Raquel, we were able to be fully present and truly enjoy every moment. Everyone warned us the day would fly by; it really really does! Don't put yourself through the nonsense; it's your day so be sure to enjoy every single moment of it. We worked with Raquel on our invitations, mirrored seating chart and mirrored welcome sign. Overall Platinum Affairs executed on all assigned tasks and everything came out nicely. However, during the process, we felt like we needed to follow up and stay on top of them. Raquel seemed overwhelmed and maybe a bit burnt out. The Meetings We met with Raquel a few times over the process to finalize details and make payments. She was not pushy and honored our requests. We wanted simple invites, and new the style of mirrors we wanted. Over the course of 6-8 months, each visit she forgot who we were and we had to reintroduce ourselves. It took away from the experience. The Service Our Invites were ordered about 8 months from our wedding date and arrived about 6 months from our wedding date. I was a bit annoyed because our original choice was out of print and we were told this one was in stock and affordable. After making our order and reviewing our proofs, Raquel and her team called to let us know we had to decide immediately on our proofs because the vendor was running low on the card stock and may not be able to print our order. Our mirror and seating chart were ordered at the same time. We had to provide the text, names and fonts about 10 days prior to the event. We actually followed up with them because no one contacted us. Once we were in touch, everything was finalized. One nit to pick, they do not alphabetize the seating charts and you do need to review your proofs. I noticed a few formatting errors when reviewing my own. Card box was just as we asked. No complaints there. Verdict Platinum Affairs was okay. Service was good, but not great. Prices were reasonable.

In our face-to-face meeting at the store they took the time to understand my vision for the wedding and my style. They are so much more than an invitation business. They were involved in my wedding from the save the date, invite and thank you notes to the table cards, table number decoration, and programs. One of my favorite wedding touches was that they were able to replicate a photograph I had of my grandparents having an intimate moment at their wedding with a "reserved" sign. They are very prompt with answering questions I had or responding to any changes that need to be made. Each time an invite of mine gets sent out, I always get such amazing feedback from my guests. Upon our first meeting with Marlene, that was 100% the case. She was able to walk us through every type of arrangement we may need and help us determine what could possibly be repurposed throughout the day in other locations of the venue in order to make the most of our florals. She made suggestions that gave us a lot of confidence in Verbena. Fast forward to our centerpiece sample meeting - oh my gosh. We walked in the office and I was BLOWN AWAY by the arrangement. I had previously sent Marlene 3 totally different inspiration photos of 3 very different things and she was able to not only get my vision but execute it better than I pictured. (To be clear, as someone who wanted white florals, she really understood that I was looking for something classic yet a little unique and the arrangement was just that. Classic, timeless, but unique.) After that meeting, for the next 5 months, Marlene was extremely responsive and helpful. The day of the wedding though was when I was most impressed with the entire Verbena team. All of my ceremony florals were being repurposed for the reception. The Verbena team executed this transition during cocktail hour but you'd genuinely never know that because I didn't see them at all. I'm still wondering how they managed to totally transform 2 spaces without anyone seeing them!! It was incredible. Literal magic. All of the florals were gorgeous. They also were able to use a piece of my wedding dress (cut during alterations) as the ribbon on my bouquet. It looked gorgeous on it! I was bummed though seeing brown spots on the white roses and on some of the boutonnières. **After our bridal party entered the reception the Vineyards put all of the bouquets lined up on our sweetheart table! The staff was rude to our guests, which immediately created an uncomfortable atmosphere. There was flooding in both bathrooms during the event, and the bartender was not only rude but also failed to properly serve the guests. In fact, my family and friends ended up doing much of the work themselves. We had pre-made lemon drops, and family members and guests helped serve them and add the dry ice because the bartender was often unavailable. To make matters worse, the bar was not even set up on time. The security guard was also ineffective. He was rarely at the door, and I actually had to go looking for him when it was time for my daughter's grand entrance so the smoke effect could be coordinated. It left me wondering what his role was supposed to be. The venue owner seemed more interested in collecting money than providing quality customer service. We understand that this is a business, but the fees were excessive, and there seemed to be an extra charge for everything. There were so many rules and restrictions that it made the planning process unnecessarily stressful. The biggest issue was the security deposit. After the event was over, a disagreement occurred across the street from the venue--not on the venue's property. Nothing happened inside the venue, and the event had already ended. One of the staff members called the police, but the officers never even got out of their vehicles because there was no serious incident taking place. Despite that, the owner had security record the disagreement and later used it as a reason to keep the deposit. What makes this even more frustrating is that she did not communicate this decision right away. She spoke with my daughter, who hosted the event, but waited nearly two weeks before informing her that the deposit would not be returned. If you are considering booking this venue, make sure you read the contract carefully and pay close attention to the fine print. The space is nice, but in our experience, the customer service, staff professionalism, and management were very disappointing. Unfortunately, the venue owner's actions came across as more focused on money than customer satisfaction.
