The haircut itself was good, I was given what I had asked for without hesitation. However, when my hair was being blow dried, it felt as if my hair was being yanked by the round brush. This was painful and not very pleasant. Overall, I don't plan on going back for the sole reason of if I'm going to pay $60+ for a haircut, I'd like to enjoy my time in the chair. If you're looking for a quicker haircut experience go ahead. The hairdresser was very friendly and even offered me a discount. No hate to the salon I just don't think I got my moneys worth compared to other salons that I've visited.

I sat and saw there was a lady that was from an inspection place and there was a customer on a pedicure seat. The inspector is checking things off and the man walks away and she follows him, the woman on the seat tells me that they were just inspected and that nothing is clean and they don't clean any of the materials which I say well I hope this side is better. It's now 11:38am and I decide to google the number and call it she tells me she will let the front know I am there. Then a couple mins later in walks in my lady from the outside and said she ran behind and would take care of me after she used the bathroom. She walks me in to this curtain small room and tells me to change and out all my items in a bin for storing. Then we walk to the chair where I am able to lay down. I felt very rushed and she was going through the combing and sensing very quick like she was trying to catch up with time. After a while she did slow down just a bit to massage my scalp. I couldn't really relaxed and essentially also felt tense that at one point she said relax but I just wasn't enjoying it. The halo was used for about 5 mins and then I was taken to a small back room where she dried my hair and while finishing I saw crawling on the wall a cockroach. Which made me question how clean the rest of the place is and I know it's small but it was just not a great experience. I will not be backs I tried to take some pictures but I just wanted to leave at the end of it all. $147 was my final charge for lateness and crawling bug, not to mention my hair was super dry.

The salon itself is in a great location with easy parking. They have a variety of services offered and hair products for purchase as well as some cute boutique style items like jewelry and gourmet lollipops. The salon has always been well decorated but they just revamped it and it's even better now. While the salon is great, it's Nina who keeps me coming back. I'm particular about my hair (as most women are, am I right??!!) and she checks all the boxes. I leave feeling fabulous every time and her balyage skills are on point!! Well after being charged SO much money by so many different stylists, I decided that I wanted something that would be low maintenance and would be good to transition back to a darker color to save some money. Well to be quite honest I think I may stick to blonde because for one, she's amazing with blonde, and two, she's fairly priced. She holds great conversation and is a genuine hair stylist who sticks by her work. I'm obsessed! The picture of me in the black top was a few weeks after my appointment. The person doing my hair was Chiquita (probably spelled wrong). She was very outgoing and not snobby at all. She listened to what I wanted and walked me through all of the steps she was taking. It took over 3 hours to complete my hair and she was great through all of it. I got a ton of compliments on my hair. So, if I had to change 1 thing or suggest 1 thing it would be that they get reclining chairs for the shampoo area. The sinks are great because they move and rest on your shoulders. However, I have metal in my spine and my body just does not relax when sitting in the odd position. I highly recommend this salon and recommend Chiquita too!

Shear Salon was a little hard to find. The sign is not very prominent. It's the first suite in the brick-looking complex. The metal fence looks locked, but it's not. Park in the back of the complex (there's a small lot)
