Waste of time. Literally called and spoke with the front desk at 10:30 and told them I was on the way and they told me they had a 11 am available for me. I explained I had an appointment right after this and really needed to be sure before I drove 30 mins to get there and Jana told me I would have the 11am. I got there at 10:59 and was told by Jana that the appointment was taken and it would be later. I won't be back and I will be sharing this across other Atlanta platforms. I don't understand why this place has such high reviews.. My first time was fine, the wax tech did a Brazilian with hard wax then was super aggressive with picking out the ingrowns which isn't ever pleasant, but I brushed it off because the results were nice. My second time, I book a sugaring appt to try something new since I heard it was less painful. I overslept and almost missed my appointment, so I called and apologized, they said it's no issue and that they can push me to the next hour slot without a charge which was nice of them. I show up and have a blonde woman (her business cards in the room said Maria) as my tech and I always dislike when wax locations don't give you a towel to cover yourself at least, so I was still in my underwear to feel comfortable until she next came in since the doors constantly opening. She laughed and said "you're supposed to take off the underwear too." Maybe she had an off day, but I didn't like that. You should be warm and make the client feel safe. I tell her to please avoid the pubic area since I'm still trying to save the skin from ingrowns and she agrees. She then pushes to ask if I want it to be cleaned a little on the sides at least and I say sure and she ends up waxing MORE and more until I have to stop her. The whole time she's being super rough unlike ANY wax tech I've ever had in my life and then she stops and asks if I'm in pain, I say not awfully? I ask why and she said "were you tearing here before you came in? Because you have a tear."..... Why would I come in with an injury to get a wax? So she gaslit me, started to feel bad and went to get me a new tube of Neosporin (which seems like a recurring pattern of low reviews here), no apology at all. She avoids eye contact with me as I leave too. I pay and I didn't want to cause a scene, I just wanted to leave at this point. I get home and see there's blood in my underwear so I have to shower to not get an infection and it's painful. So take that as you will. The point of beauty services is to leave confident and beautiful not have permanent scarring on your genitals. read more

I found the salon on YELP and decided to give it a shot because I was new to the Brookhaven area and tired of driving all the way to my old waxer in South Buckhead. My first experience Brazilian was WONDERFUL. Gislaine was patient, friendly, and thorough. When I came back a second time and reported that my upper lip has broken out after my initial wax with her, she offered an alternative wax which ended up being really great. She worked quickly and had me in and out with a full body wax (full leg, Brazilian, underarm, lip) + eyebrows in less than an hour. Unfortunately my experience started going downhill after my second visit. First, my underarm and lip grew back VERY quickly -- much quicker than any of my other areas and/or any wax I'd ever received. I've been waxing for 10+ years and have never needed a next wax in less than 3.5 weeks, but these 2 areas lasted one week and I ended up having to come back much sooner than I think should have been the case. I was left bruised on my bikini line area, and VERY dry because she did not put any post-care product on. There was also a lot of hair left on my legs and since I ended up being out of town directly after the appointment, I could not go back for a touch up. I have very blonde hair so there's usually some hard to see strays, but they use a roll on wax on legs to save time (the reason I stopped going to Andreia's) which is uneven and, in my opinion, a quick and frankly lazy way to wax kegs. It also does not last as long which I don't mind as much in the winter, but would never be okay with in summer months. During my last visit, giving it one more shot after my less than great experience, I was left with burned, irritated, and peeling skin in multiple areas of my legs and bikini area. I emailed pictures to the owner, Magda, and while I'm appreciative that she both responded to my email and called and left a voicemail right away, it was not to offer a refund or even an apology -- it was just to suggest putting Neosporin on the burned areas. While I appreciate her wanting to "help" me heal immediately, I am, in all fairness, an adult -- and I know how to treat a burn on my skin. No apology was offered until I asked for one when we spoke the next day. Magda also told me she spoke with Gislaine who told her that likely the burns were due to her needing to go back over some areas to get all the hair. First of all -- yes, since she used roll on wax, it did not pick up much of the hair on my legs and needed to be touched up in order to give me a complete wax. Second, that should not have caused burns. Third, she did not go over my bikini area second time (there's even hair left over to prove it, and I was still left with strips of burned skin on the top and both sides of my "private" area. As a result, I was unable to wear anything but loose fitting pajama-style pants for 3 days, including for an event where I needed to wear a dress but couldn't do so because of the condition of my skin. Upon research, I see that I'm not the first customer to complain that Gislaine burned my skin. I see that ALL of the reviews about Magda are absolutely stellar, and it's unfortunate that I didn't see her instead from the get-go, because I'm sure it would have been a very different experience. I'm appreciative that Magda did refund my money, and recognize it isn't easy to have others working for you and representing your business. That said, especially since this isn't the first time something like this has happened to a client, I can't help but feel that Gislaine should not be permitted to work in the field anymore. All the said, I have to give MY experience 1 Star. I have been seeing Gislaine here for a little over 2 years now and I would not have it any other way. She's the best of the best! I've been living in Atlanta for quite some time now and I have seen many estheticians for wax services, but absolutely nowhere equates to the superb service I receive here at Bodyzilian with Magda & Gislaine. I receive regular Brazilian waxes alongside vajacials, which I get in between waxes (every 3 months). As far as waxes go, both sugaring and hard wax are offered, but I typically stick with the hard wax. Gislaine is punctual, extremely detail-oriented, and quick all while doing amazing, CONSISTENT work every time. I recently started getting vajacials the end of last year and now that I have started, I can truthfully say that I cannot stop. Think of the lost luxurious facial you've ever received, but for your lady parts!! They have helped significantly with my ingrown hairs and overall evening of my skin. The entire experience consists of a steam to open your pores, exfoliation/tweezing of any fine hairs, a mask, and closing of the pores/ridding of any excess bacteria. I am beyond pleased with the professional AND passionate work that both Gislaine and Magda do. So happy to call Bodyzilian my home and these amazing ladies my family! Went for the first time today and was relieved that this location was doing eyebrow and lip waxing. The woman who waxed me shaped my eyebrows nicely but my face felt like it was stinging more than usual. I shrugged it off as the body's reaction to getting waxed. Once I got home I looked closer in the mirror and found that half of my skin had been ripped off by the wax, which is why my skin has been on fire for over an hour after my appointment. I thought a boutique location that specializes in waxing would be a safe bet but I was very wrong. Pictures are below for reference. Update: The owner/manager called me to see if there was anything to do to remedy the situation. I've only been to one other waxing place for my Brazilian waxes so that's all I have to compare my experience here to. Bodyzlilian is located in a salon suite on Peachtree Rd. in Brookhaven. The suite is in a shopping plaza with a Kroger and Wet Willy's so there's ample parking. Bodyzilian itself is in the back of the suite (just keep walking straight). I scheduled my appt. the evening before for 3pm, which was nice to be accommodated on such short notice. Upon arrival I was asked to fill out a liability form, which is standard procedure, but I wasn't sure about the language. From my interpretation (and I preface this by saying I am not a lawyer), there was some language stating that the client would release Bodyzilian from all liability even in the case of negligence on their [Bodyzililan's] part. She reassured me that this was standard language drafted by her lawyer, but it still gave me pause. Since I was already there and she was highly reviewed, I decided to proceed with the service. The room has minimal frills but your eyes are probably closed for most of the service anyway. She has complimentary beverages and candy after you're done, which is a nice touch. My service started promptly. I found Magda to be very personable, which definitely helps in *tense* situations like this one. In comparison to previous Brazilian waxes, this one was slightly more uncomfortable but not bad by any means. My skin just felt slightly more irritated. However, this could have been due to the time that elapsed since my last one so I don't hold that against her. The service moved along pretty quickly. After she finished waxing she used tweezers, a necessary evil, to tidy up. At the end she applied some cream to help reduce irritation. Once we were finished, I was pleased with the end result - smooth and thorough. The total was $26 (before tip) but that was a special price I received by checking in on Yelp. I think the standard price is $32 or $35. Either way I found it to be a great deal considering I was paying almost twice that much in NC. I have one other place I'd like to check out before committing to this one, but it's definitely a contender. Overall, I'd recommend coming here. Just be sure to review the liability form carefully. read more

She is reasonable without a coupon, like a Brazilian is $35 for ladies and that's a deal for her experience. I've been to other places before and it wasn't as pleasant. Today was my first visit here. I was excited to find a place close to home with early hours. I was able to snag the first appointment of the day at 9am by booking early this morning. The shop is very easy to find alongside the SLX complex and there's free street and garage parking. Inside is very bright, fresh and clean. Front desk woman was nice and explained the waiver process to me and told me I'd see Camila today. I've been getting waxed a very long time and Camila did a fantastic job. She used hard wax and made the process as quick and painless as possible. She left absolutely no hair left behind. Needless to say I won't be going back to my previous waxing spa. Recently moved here from NYC and was looking for a new spot to do my Brazilians, I saw the great reviews on this place and decided to go ahead and book them. There really is not anything negative I can say about this gem of a spot or the beautiful ladies that work there! I booked a Brazilian and underarm wax last night for this morning and was able to get in. The spot is adorable and spacey. Magda is awesome and super sweet. She performed the Brazilian wax while Gesliene did my underarms. They are both happy, cheerful women and spoke to me the entire time. Nothing felt uncomfortable at all. I thought it would take a lot to impress me as I've had many Brazilians in the past, but Magda is AMAZING. I mean, by far the best wax ever. I've also been waxed by Gislaine who is being trained by Magda, and she is an absolute sweet heart. She popped my Brazilian cherry! I have a low pain threshold so I wasn't above calling it quits midway. As frightful as it was, I left- smooth as a baby's bottom- knowing Magda was the best person for the job. FIRST TIMERS: Dont schedule an appointment near to or on your menstrual cycle. Your bits are at the peak of sensitivity. Studio: Specializing in honey wax, Magda's one person studio has all the comforts/traits to ease the scalping. Studio is clean, lightly scented- almost like a masseuse parlor. I was able to book online on a short notice. She offers a WIDE range of services; prices are listed online as well. Her studio is tucked in the back of the Salon Lofts establishment. The Scalping: I got a Brazilian $35. She ripped the patches in quick strokes (approx 6 strips)- AND applied pressure to ease the pain. Throughout the grueling process she made small talk. The major stripping took around 20min. from there she waxed my lower abdomen and used tweezers for the finishing touches- this part was nearly pain free. I loved the results and returned to her 2x now. I would give her 5 stars but there is nothing for me to compare this experience to. read more

Bodyzilian Wax is located inside Salon Lofts in the Kroger shopping plaza in Brookhaven next to Willy's. Last night searched Yelp for a nice place to get waxed and based on reviews I decided to make an appointment with Bodyzilian. I really wanted an appointment for a full body the next day and was hoping Magda could accommodate me so I messaged her using Yelp (fingers crossed). To my delight, she responded the next morning and advised she had a 330p slot available which I happily accepted. She also requested my contact information and once I provided it, I received a text notification with my appointment details. Nice touch. Once I arrived, I wasn't sure where to go. I couldn't find it anywhere but mapquest said I had arrived. I called Magda and she advised it was located inside Salon Lofts. Once i opened the door, I realized each door had a number on it so I just followed the numbers to suite 21 which is all the way in the back of the loft. There is a door with Bodyzilian's business information on it and two chairs in the waiting area. The door showed 'in use' but i knocked so she would know i had arrived. She opened the door and gave me a clip board with a questionnaire to complete. Once inside, she also had me sign in and advised me of the cost. $65 for full body. I had a 25% off coupon courtesy of Yelp which she applied to my total. Awesome! Before I made my appointment I did an internet search on what to expect and based on my research Magda was textbook perfect! What is a Brazilian wax? Completely bare or bare with a mini landing strip What happens during a Brazilian wax you ask? 1. Take it off! You have to strip your lower half bare and get ready 2. Discuss your options - landing strip or no strip 3. Lie back and pull your skin - Magda, the aesthetician, pulled my skin directly above my pubic area taught. Before she began, she dust on powder to remove moisture and make the wax come off easily, rather than sticking behind on my skin. She also provided me with a stress ball to squeeze when I needed it and she would advise me when I should take a deep breath. She explained every detail to me which definitely made me feel more comfortable. You can't be modest. Just butterfly (open up, Ladies! Lol) and take deep breaths. 4. Wax is applied to the front - Magda used thick warm wax on my private area and thin wax on my legs underarm. 5. Turn over - thin warm wax was applied to the areas from my buttocks to ankle. 6. Get tweezer - I didn't see her use tweezers but I felt it. 7. Soothing lotion/oil - Magda generously oiled me down in the areas where hair was removed. A brazilian wax is uncomfortable no matter who does it. I mean, think about the procedure; it's not supposed to feel good. Lol. But it should look good! I am happy I chose Bodyzilian Wax for my first Brazilian. I already made my next appointment! read more

So I decided to try this place because it's walking distance from my place and close to my hair salon. I looked at reviews to book a specific person for a Brazilian but when I got there I was given someone else. I left feeling very swollen and red , my private parts very irritated that I had to ice them! Needless to say in my regular salon they use multiple sticks to apply the wax which is the appropriate thing to do to avoid bacterial infections and this person used only one. I immediately applied antibacterial lotion to kill any germs. Very disappointed and will stick with my regular waxing salon from now on. read more

Her space is so clean and comfortable and she's meticulous and so sweet and to boot her prices are far more reasonable than they are at home. So today was my third time getting waxed by Magda, and I can officially say this is my new waxing spot! She is so nice and sweet, and you can definitely tell she is passionate about what she does. As far as the appointments itself, no complaints whatsoever. The establishment is super clean and there's plenty of parking. The process took less than 20 minutes and I came out super smooth.
