The absolute WORST attitude and customer service. I came in with my 10 year old daughter for her to get a gel manicure. The lady that normally sits on the first chair and greets people decided to take our request. She had earbuds on and was talking with someone the entire time. I asked her not to cut my daughter's cuticles, she did it anyway. I assumed she had not heard me, as she was still on the phone, so I decided to just let it go. My daughter wanted a french, and when the lady did the first tip, I asked her if she could thin it out bc it was too thick. She completely ignored me. She then did the second one in the same way, so I repeated myself. Her reply, in a nasty loud manner was: "Will you relax? I'm not finished!". I was SHOCKED. I then replied: "Then answer me the first time so I know you heard me." She continued to ignore me and speaking on the phone. When she finally thinned them out, she asked my daughter if they were ok and in an extremely rude way said: "Yes, or NO?" Afterwards, she made my daughter extremely uncomfortable, rubbing cream up her arms in an extra firm way. On top of that, she charge me $45 for tiny nails and a crappy manicure that she completed in 15 minutes. It is a shame that people like these have jobs in AMERICA in service and treat customers like this, but it's even worse when it is for no reason and while servicing a child. I have been coming here for over 10 plus years and NEVER have I seen what I saw today. Mid appointment my tech was asking me how I was going to tip. When I said I didn't have cash and I would tip on card he was like no only Venmo or Cash App. So I said okay. Then maybe 5 minutes later he's bringing me his phone and telling me to scan the code. Then I scanned but decided I will WAIT FOR MY APPOINTMENT TO FINISH AS A NORMAL CUSTOMER DOES. He went to check his Venmo again after I scanned it maybe 2 minutes later. Time goes by, nail techs abandon you, and it's always a little heartbreaking when a once favorited spot takes a turn for the worst. I used to love the service at Lumi, everyone was super friendly and meticulous, but these last two trips to the salon have left me unsatisfied. The last time I visited Lumi, I requested "very short" for my pedicure. I didn't want to be rude and ask again, so when the nail tech did half a pass with the nail file, I didn't speak up -- BIG mistake -- I went running a few days later and to my horror was left with large, dark bruises on both of my big toes due to the length of the nails. Also, I was talked into getting a gel polish, which the techs really push for some reason... and the machine really burned through the application (faulty machines perhaps?) Today I went back to have my gel removed and to take advantage of the Mon-Thurs $25 mani/pedi deal. Another not-so-welcome surprise was when I was instead charged $35 and when I asked they told me due to Covid they upped the price. While they had hand sanitizer accessible, I did see a few of the employees with their masks around their chins and drinking the water bottles that they used to offer the clients... another stingy change. I had my nails dine on Saturday. I'm super disappointed. I got a dip manicure and regular pedi. The pedi was ok. No massage at all. He put my feet in to soak in regular water. No foot soak beads or anything. I did see others had it so I questioned it. Then the same guy did my dip. All was fine until Tueaday, of the same week, I noticed one nail chipped. I've never had a chipped nail with dip. My nail was actually coming away from the nail. In addition, I asked for a glitter layer on 2 nails. Then Wednesday, still of that same week, the entire glitter layer peed right off, in one sheet. Today is Thursday, the chips got worse so I'm taking it off. Complete waste of money. I won't go back. Following the events of Hurricane Irma, my sister-in-law and I made a mad dash to The Falls this evening for some much needed post-hurricane self grooming efforts. We walked in without an appointment, an hour and fifteen minutes prior to closing time. The spa was totally empty with about 5-6 staff on deck. We were seen immediately. The spa itself is really beautiful with state of the art massage chairs. The foot spas are squeaky clean and you can tell all their equipment is either fairly new or upheld really well. Understanding that it was really close to closing time, we both had two nail techs working our hands and feet at the same time. We were literally in and out in approximately 40 minutes. Our nails came out perfect, the staff was really pleasant and appreciative of our business. Reading all of the other reviews may sway you away from this place, but honestly, we had an amazing experience. The selling point is the $25 mani/pedi from Monday's thru Thursdays until 4 pm. Now that would be great if the mani/pedi was done right, but it is not! What is it they used to say? " A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" or something like that... So last week for my elderly parents' first outing since the pandemic began, I decided to take them to the Falls to walk safely outdoors and get some much needed exercise. One of the first stores we saw was LumiGarnet NailSpa advertising a promo mani-pedi for $25. I could see from her expression that my mom really wanted a little pampering and, although we had agreed that we would not go into any stores and increase the risk of exposure, I stopped to check out the nail salon. First things first, I looked around and saw everyone taking precautions, the place looked clean and there was hand sanitizer everywhere. In addition, a sign said all customers must wash their hands before being helped. It was clear they were doing their best to keep everyone safe. The friendly receptionist even agreed to keep an eye out for my mom to make sure she didn't forget to keep safe (she is 81 after all). Fast forward: Even though I paid $20 to upgrade to the gel nail polish which is supposed to last a minimum of two week's,, the polish started peeling. She's had gel many times before done at LaBelle Beauty ACADEMY by students and at other salons that wouldn't come off without soaking in some sort special nail polish remover. We went back to get them fixed - most places will fix them for you within 2 weeks. After acknowledging that her nail polish shouldn't have peeled, the receptionist asked if she wanted another manicure and began to sell her a different kind of polish. Of course, I pushed back and told her that we were simply seeking to get her thumb nail fixed as it should have peeled. After a little back-and-forth and having spoken to her manager if we wanted them fixed we would have to pay for a whole new manicure. They didn't even offer to fix the really bad one or give a deal on the new manicure. I was really happy we had found this place for her to go get her nails fixed at the mall where she can walk around safely in the outdoors In a beautiful, shaded and sometimes air-conditioned location. Sadly, I must say, that this bird in the hand got away! No matter how nice you are to me, how great your customer service is during the sales process, if, when it comes time, you won't stand behind your work, you won't be seeing me again. read more

Place is bright and clean- no loud club music-- all good there. We were told to wash our hands and then no direction for about 15 minutes standing up while there were 8 chairs open. Once they sat us they left us soaking in cold water (not warm even at the beginning) for about 20 minutes. They don't really pumice or Primo your feet, asked her to file down-- not done. On gel manicure, she complained when I said yes to a 3rd coat of funny bunny. Stating my nails weren't smooth so to previous gel.... She never buffed them. When I 20 years old, I didn't believe in love at first sight. But all of that changed when I walked into LumiGarnet. You always get greeted with a wonderful smile, you can't really see the smile because of these dang masks, but I know it's there. Once you get seated on their beautiful massage thrones, a nail angel will begin to work miracles on your feet. The work they do is basically surgery; I get a reoccurring ingrown toenail on my right big toe that could be very painful, but when I leave LumiGarnet, the pain is gone, and my stoke levels are at an all time high. The nails here (especially dip manicures) are always worth the wait. I've been coming here for a while now (was recommended by a friend) and all staff members are really nice and greet you warmly. Catalina (FOH) is always super nice and takes the time to get to know everyone. Making an appointment is crucial and staff will do their best to accommodate. Nice nails take time! I love it. I've been coming here for years. It's a great location in a nice outdoor mall. Yes it may be pricier than other places but it's in The Falls. They have specials during the week if you want to pay less. Not all techs are created equal (that's why I'm giving it a 4) so it can suck to get a bad tech but that just hasn't been my experience. They take appointments, ask for Kim, Tiffany or Van. You won't be disappointed. And yes, like any other place, they can fall a little behind. Have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. I've been going to this salon since before gel nail polish was a thing. When they first opened they were impeccable. As time has gone on their quality has gone down. For the most part I've never had a terrible experience some techs leave my nails ok some leave them perfect! The main reason I gave them 4 stars is because consistency is key and with the utensils some keep them in a crayon box and use them for everyone that comes to get a mani pedi Other use the sterilized tools that come in a sealed packet. The nail filer and foot scrubber are disposable and a new pair for each client is used. The place is cute as well. The chairs are comfy. Their prices aren't bad either. If you come in Monday - Thursday before 4pm the gel mani regular pedi is only $40! You can't beat that price. My gel usually last more than two weeks too. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Never left a review before, but I am so shocked and disheartened, and want to WARN YOU. Came by this store to get powder nails and toenail gel polish REMOVAL ONLY - was told (by the gentleman at the front) it would be $20. Came by the following week to have it done. I was so taken aback at the rude behavior that I had encountered. My nails will take a long time to recover! Yesterday, when checking my credit card - I saw that she changed me $80! I called the salon, spoke to the same woman, and before explaining the details, I asked again for the price for getting dipped nails AND gel toes removed - again I was told $20. I confirmed this price, asking again - that is "for both?", just to be sure. Then, I explained my situation and told her I had been charged $80. She told me I had to come in person, and bring my credit card statement. I went by today, and she pulled the receipt and showed me I signed for $44. I knew this. I showed her the credit card statement. She refused to help and was rude and said I needed to call the credit card company. I stepped outside and did so - as she left me no choice but to file a formal complaint to dispute the charge. Afterward, I went back in and told her there would be an investigation and I had filed a complaint, and I asked her for the owner's contact. She refused to provide it and this time urgently asked me to call the credit card company back to cancel my claim and said that NOW she would refund the difference. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
