my day in susanville needed to begin with a good breakfast, and through the YELP app, the menu Lumberjack's had convinced me. the town of susanville is very tranquil and had a hometown vibe to it, and Lumberjack's had that ambiance i ordered a Lumberjack Burger, which came with bacon and veggies. of course, no tomatoes around here, and burger ordered well done! it was steady with about 4 families in the establishment, and the one waiter did an awesome job checking up w/ us a great look for Susanville. thx, lumberjacks

Really good food, service was good and the place was really nice and themed well. I had the taco salad and it was delicious

The best part of our visit was the waitress. She was great. Very friendly. I ordered a BLT, It had a very small slice of tomato and overall it was just okay. The cobbler was disappointing, the berries had dried up. The restaurant is very nice, with lots of seats. I don't think I'll be back.

Food was average fare like any chain breakfast place. Service was relatively fast and the restaurant was clean. We went here because the hotel offered the restaurant for breakfast which I thought was clever of them. Restaurant is adjacent to the hotel.

    Mashed potatoes! Yummy!

We went last night for the early bird special. I had the grilled chicken breast, which, by the way, was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I chose mashed potatoes and vegetables as my sides. Those mashed potatoes were amazing! The vegetables were okay, but I would have preferred less carrots. My husband had the fish and chips was a large plate of food and he even brought home quite a bit. Service was amazing! In fact, those servers move a mile a minute.

we stopped in here on our way passing through on a road trip. you can tell they're understaffed as it took a while to get a table and there was a lot of people stacked up behind us when we arrived. Very friendly staff. We were served super fast once at the table. We both ordered clam chowder, and half a sandwich, mine came with fries. His, coleslaw. OK, the clam chowder was soooooo thick, I could not eat it at all, Way too much flour. I could not finish my BLT and fries due to eating some of the soup, make it thinner please. I took the sandwich with me. 4 stars? because as busy as they were, our waitress was soooo attentive. I did not get her name. darnit. older short hair lady. Curled hair. she was awesome. Always checking on us. She cared. BLT eaten down the road, was delicious. yum. Forgot to take a picture. Please thin down the soup. Too thick to enjoy, noone wants flour.

Four slices of bread, turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. HUGE plate!

Good standard food. Large portions. Susanville seems a bit of a food desert so this place compares well.

A classic diner. Decent food and amazing service! The cinnamon French toast is dense and sweet enough to require a post-breakfast nap!

Cold dishes (eg salad, club sandwich) served on hot plates. Server was inexplicably rude. Food was mid. Would not recommend.

We left satisfied and happy to plan a return visit very soon. The food we had, crab cakes, clam chowder, chicken marsala, beef stroganoff and berry cobbler were all absolutely delicious! The espresso martini I had was unmatched. The staff, servers, chefs & owners were all friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning often to one of our new favorite restaurants. If you're in the area don't hesitate to eat here. A+

A beautiful historic building from 1876 with all the rustic charm you'd expect , original hardwood floors , beautiful wood beams and a cozy little bar right when you walk in . The staff was super friendly, great customer service and hospitality, squeezed us in without a reservation! My wife and I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and Beef Stroganoff each served with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. Both meals were cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce that should accompany each dish . 10/10 for me on both dishes, it would be hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to order the stroganoff again on my next visit ..... too good!! Both meals came with a delicious side salad - blue cheese dressing was house made and yummy! Fresh bread, two different kinds , both were spot on . Iron Door hit a home run with every single portion of our meal and the rustic country charm of this hidden gem was the icing on the cake!!! I almost don't want to share my secret........ but if you are visiting Graeagle, pass on all the dining options in Blairsden and Graeagle and head up the mountain to little ol Johnsville for a meal that is sure to satisfy! If you want to impress your friends the super cool hidden gem that only the locals know about, The Iron Door is THE place to go. Cheers!!
