The Lulu of Downtown Santa Monica - Third Street Promenade is the lemon of the LA lululemons... "I pull up in a lemon...." It's organized, but between the lack of customer service and the roaming of flying insects inside due to a poor directly outside upkeep (that I know isn't all this locations fault - very much city related) does kind of steer you away. The selection is less than the location in Studio City near me, the Pacific Palisades we had just stopped in and most other locations in Greater LA. I was hoping we'd at least find the shirt we were on the hunt for, but just some flies in the guys section. Overall high quality as you'd expect at a higher value... Just not the most inviting overall... I think the location is great, tons of natural light + air flow they just need to be more mindful, a touch more welcome and demure. Q Tips: Lots of parking garages close by with a huge one on Colorado for Santa Monica Place - open air mall + at 2nd/Santa Monica Blvd, along 4th and so on. Pick up orders available here. read more

The service is great at this Lululemon location. I was doing some holiday shopping and the sales rep was so helpful. She quickly pulled together some great outfits in the right sizes and even held them at the front for me so I didn't have to carry everything around. Friendly, efficient, and made the whole shopping so much easier. There were a couple of shirts that they didn't have in store which would have been convenient. After deliberating for days, I decided to exchange today the item I bought from Lululemon Santa Monica Promenade. I don't want to be reminded of my traumatic experience with them. As I entered the store in Glendale Americana, the sensor came off again. Guess what? Indeed, the sensor in the label was still attached. How could 2 sales associates have not seen them!!!! The male cashier checked the item before placing in the bag and the male associate whom I handed the bag when the sensor came off checked the bag too!!! Two staff checked the bag!!! Came to exchange some shorts I got for my bf. People who helped me were very nice and even checked in the back for some items when it was crazy packed. Line was insane. So many people. So many people buying multiple items. Like damn, you rich! Go figure, it's Santa Monica. Heck, I did an exchange for the same freakin' item and I had to pay more money because their tax is higher. Wait, what? OK. I love Lulu's clothing though, you can't really beat it. You get what you pay for. I'm almost ashamed to admit this but...here it goes... *cough* I'm Janey E and until last week I've never set foot in a lululemon before...*puts head down in shame* I'm almost positive I'm the only girl alive in Santa Monica who has never set foot in this yoga pant heaven -- lord knows every chick I ever see in yoga pants has the little lululemon logo on them -- yet I insisted on being a Nike girl. Well 500 something dollars later I'm a Nike girl no more (except their sneakers, I still love their sneaks). Main problem I have with leggings...the camel toe! Oh the camel toe!! I do not want the world to know the shape of my vajayjay and for some reason or all the Nike leggings just make that shit pop right out...or I guess in. I don't know what's so different about lululemon leggings but camel toe no more! Yes I'm a woman -- I just don't want to prove it to the world! Besides their leggings I'm also officially hooked to their sweaters. I'm a tiny girl with short arms and those cool comfy sweaters with the thumbs cut outs never work for me cause hell the sleeves are too long -- lululemon sweaters -- right on motha effin point!!! Lululemon where have you been all my yoga pant wearing life? I mean really? Yes I broke my bank shopping here, and quite frankly almost 600 bucks for 2 pairs of leggings and 2 sweaters and 2 pairs of socks for $20 a pair is close to insanity -- but hell at least my ass looks good in my leggings and my thumbs are actually poking out of the slot cut outs I my sweater. Wow this place looks aoo amazing and very well organized! Came in the morning and it's huge right across from Kitson and Cafe crepe. On third street. If you want gear for yoga for men and women come to this store it's one of my favorites and I'm glad they moved. The other location was a little hard to find but this is way easier and you can park across the street and walk over. Simple! read more

SO ANNOYED - I just walked in the store to exchange three legging I bought online and the girl at the front (who greets everyone) came and said hi & welcome. I was okay hi and just when I started to browse, she came hovering over me (BTW - I understand she's trying to be nice and friendly): Girl: Are you here to return or exchange? Me: Exchange. Girl: Are you going to exchange for a different size? Me: Maybe. (Annoyed af rn) Girl: what did you say? Me: I said maybe something else... (Super annoyed) Girl: Are you looking for something in particular? Running? Yoga? Me: ... (continuing to browse & trying to brush her off) Girl: The stuff you are looking at are for running. Me: ... (please go away and annoy someone else)) Girl: (came up to my face now) Just to let you know we rearranged the store and soo now we have running here, yoga in the back blaH blah blAh blah Me: Thanks. I just want to browse. Seriously I know that girl was trying to be nice and all but when someone does that as soon as you walk in the store, its super annoying! I was already so irritated but still had to shop as I need to make exchange. She was so overwhelmingly annoying! Fitting room girls were super nice and I tried on some stuff and got my pick of clothes. I go over to the underwear corner and wanted to get a 3 pack of undies that I love but didn't see my size. I asked the girl at the register (the store manager) if she can find size small in this. First thing she asks is if I have worn them before. (Why so many questions? What is going on in this store????) I said yes, and luckily she backed off and grabbed me the size I needed. Normally this wouldn't have annoyed me but with the whole experience with the girl at the front, I felt like that maybe I looked like I didn't belong here or something. Not sure if they are like that to others but it definitely made me feel uncomfortable. I got in the line and while processing the exchange and purchasing the new stuff, I felt the need to let the cashier know what I went through. So I told him my experience. That was that and while walking out of he store, the lady who introduced herself as the manager said she overheard and wanted to see what she can do to make my experience right again. Its nice that she offered to ask me what can make me feel better and I said nothing. I didnt even want to start the convo asking back at her 'what can you do for me then?'. I was just too tired of this BS - period. If she felt that something had to be compensated, then just offer me what you thought was right! Not asking me what I want. She wouldn't have been able to match what I wanted in the first place. Also she should have stepped in during my complaint at the register and not grab me while I'm about to leave. Just horrible experience overall and I just think that they need to be trained professionally. BTW I am a regular at lululemon and none of the stores I have went to ever treated me like this. I love splurging on some nice yoga pants from time to time. More so in the past months with the pandemic. I was home most of the time so I needed more comfortable pants to lounge in. So many colors and options. They have different leg lengths and function yoga pants with pockets! The fabric feels so good and soft too. Pricey but I will use them all the time. read more

Great service, Holly was amazing! I work on the promenade and most of the retail staff along the shops (ahem Alo) are super unfriendly and unhelpful. Lululemon was such a welcome surprise! Good selection, sales included. If you've never shopped here, Lululemon does tailor items for free and all bras come with free removable padding if you ask for it. I would say it's as good as it gets for Lululemon, and the service and selection is what differentiates it from other chains. They were really nice in this location, I don't remember who helped me but she was really sweet. Parking is terrible, I parked in a loading zone in the alley...and shopped fast since it was supposed to only be 15 minute parking. I did notice that there was parking meters the first right in the alley in a small lot just to the east of the store, but didn't explore further. If I went back I would try parking there. read more

The store was supposed to close at 9m and I arrived at 20 minutes prior to closing. There was about ten people out side of the location including myself and my friend. We were all trying to figure out how to get in. One person was there to make a return. They locked the doors early and we were all left standing in the rain. EXTREMELY unprofessional and I'll probably be emailing the company. I'm extremely upset. If you're going to close the door 1/2 an hour early because of the "rain" at least make your shoppers aware of it so they don't show up. I'm a wear workout clothes everyday type girl. Came in to get the "Going Places Hooded Jacket" I saw this in another store but I kind of "sat on the thought of getting it", bc it's super expensive. 148$. We'll I got a GC so I just paid the rest. Order size down. I got size 2 instead of 4. It's a perfect fit with lots of room. Lots of pockets. Ok I'm short girl well petite 5'0 & 95/100lbs so it's hard to find a jacket that doesn't make me look stubby looking but this jacket flattered me in every way. I'm in love & it's so soft and comfortable. Jeremy, you rock! You do! Smile on his face totally helped me once I showed him "my Lulu wish list app" he guided me & lead me to my happiness my jacket. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store. Every time I visit this store, I always get exceptional service, and today was no different. One of my favorite pair of mesh leggings by Lululemon were damaged from wear and tear, and I was so sad that they could not be fixed. However, customer service deserves a million stars. Kim looked at my favorite pair and in moments she was able to find me a pair just as beautiful with lace and a beautiful fit. I was amazed that she knew intuitively exactly what I would like, and knew all the merchandise that they had that could be possible choices for me. I am so grateful. Kim and Kiley, who also assisted me made my very average day-- extraordinary! I shop all the time for athletic clothing, but always come back to Lululemon because of the quality and exceptional customer service. I particularly like the Santa Monica location because as soon as I walk in, I am always greeted by someone friendly who is ready to help. I went in to return an item that had started to stretch over time and they exchanged it no problem and even gave me advice for future purchases. The clothes are amazing first off! I know they're unbelievably pricey! But for the amount of times I wake up and choose lulu over anything else they're worth it to me. Overall the store layout is easy and ascetically pleasing. However the employees come off a bit fake. If you do not look like a stick or do not look like you have the most money, you are most likely ignored. It's sometimes actually intimidating going inside. However when I went out of my way to ask a question, I got the answer I was looking for, so they are well educated on the clothing/ brand. Overall 4 stars!!! read more

First of all, this review is for the location in MDR and I recently bought stuff that I never thought I would ever buy. I bought a jacket, shorts, and long pants. At first, I wanted to do an exchange but I later realized that I really am happy with what I got and will just buy the other item that I like. Staff is very courteous, helpful with bringing out other options and sizes to try. They're very excellent when it comes to feedback & giving their honest opinions and helping to narrow things to the best and most flattering. I came out with 2 outfits that are interchangeable so next time I work out, I will look awesome during yoga! This clothing are investment pieces, but I must say this is among the top brands that I love for athletic wear, if not my favorite now.
