Outside, there was a mild scent of garage and sewer. Once we got in, there was no sales associate to greet and hand us the Kohl's cash. I had to find a sales associate who later told me since they have limited staffing - you get your Kohl's cash at checkout only. I asked if we can get it prior to checkout to see if we won big jokingly, and she said no. So, no way to know how much you'll get off until you're rung up. This was later incorrect, as I was checking out - a kinder associate gave a Kohl's cash handout to another customer. I understand that low staffing can be tough, but I wish there was a more centralized protocol in place. Also, there are self checkout options now, which couldn't be utilized for the Kohl's cash giveaway - amounting to longer waits at checkout. Clothes and stuff were fine - original prices are a bit steep for the quality; likely since they mark up with the intention to put things on sale to try and attract customers. Overall, I recommend improvements with management.

Still, Soma has a wide variety of sizes and styles to choose from and the staff here are really lovely humans. Located at the edge of Garden City shopping center, parking right in front is limited, but there is one handicapped spot there. If you have bras you are replacing that are 'gently used', they can be donated here for charity. Whether an A or an H, Soma's got you covered. Literally. ;-D

I appreciated Kate's assistance finding my size in a new style. My pet peeve is that the straps do not adjustable for the entirety of the strap, they only adjust halfway. When you're short, have a larger cup size and are relatively fit, be sure to get some help to be sure the straps won't slide. Happy to see the AOL is in extra small in more than neutral colors again! Service should be a 5+ star, I am giving a 4 only because the straps annoy me!

With racks of summer apparel on sale, my mom was elbows-deep into linens and knits, squealing with glee over the incredible prices for beautiful clothes. When the sizes she took in with her turned out to be way too big, the woman assisting her jumped right in and helped her with everything. The clothes are nice -- relaxed, casual separates and dresses with a toned-down color palate and tasteful hems. They have a few accessories like scarves and necklaces, and everything is of a quality you'd expect from a nicer chain store. The thing that impressed me the most was when a linen button down my mother absolutely loved wasn't in stock in her size, one of the women hopped on the computer and called several stores to locate it for her and have it directly shipped to her. I've seen this done at higher end department stores like Nordstrom and Saks, but never at a chain like this. I've been shopping here for at least 10 years and they never seem to disappoint.
