This place is a GEM! They sell items straight from the company warehouse at a discount. The store was really organized and it was easy to find what I was looking for. I snagged some super soft AE jeggings for $16 and they were at least $40 retail. There were Anthropologie jeans going for $28. I also checked out some cute bralettes and sports bras, but they didn't fit right unfortunately. Other things they carried: sportswear (leggings, tops), sweaters, swimsuits, dresses, shorts, jewelry-- basically anything you'd find in a regular clothing store, but at a discount! There were also some cute Newport longsleeves/hoodies in the back. Selection is limited, but that's just the nature of the store-- it depends on what they get from the warehouse. It feels like a treasure hunt. I love this place already and can't wait to see what I find next!

With that having been said, I am having my first in-person job interview in about 3-4 years today since everything went "remote" due to the pandemic. I panicked. I do not own not one stitch of clothing for this type of thing, and this wasn't a planned interview. This was one of those phone calls at 9:30am ending with "can you pop by for an interview today?" I searched online everywhere. I'm 49 years old, but a young minded 49. I want to dress nicely. I want to look professional without looking like some four year old's grandma (not that there's anything wrong with that if that's your thing). I want to feel beautiful even if I don't think I am. And these girls at this shop - they were amazing. They asked what I was looking for. They felt my frustration. They probably saw the pain and anxiety in my eyes and face - (even a customer helped!) and they also understood the mission. They dressed me from head to toe. I tried everything on and I was amazed at how I looked. It was absolutely perfect. I wish I had gotten their names so I can call the company and tell them how amazing they are, but if you were working at Rainbow Shops on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston, RI on April 29, 2024 around noon, this review is for you. Every time I visit I have found the people working to be helpful and willing to engage in a conversation about what I am looking for or helping me find the right fin for my board.
