I went into the lululemon store in Garden City to get a gift for an "active life" friend. This store is immaculate at all times -even at the peak of the post holiday season when the lines are long with weary shoppers returning those "swing and miss" gifts (that's me by the way). My teenage daughter loves this store. It's definitely on trend at the moment and the prices reflect the demand. I have to say the price of leggings at close to $100 is steep but the quality is definitely there. They amazingly hold up well wash after wash but it's a special occasion purchase in our house (birthdays and Christmas). They have a wide selection of sizes and styles which makes it a refreshing brick and mortar experience. I've got a great chance of finding what you go in looking for. The service? They're professional and efficient. The lines always move quickly and if you can't find the right size or style, they're quick to help you order it shipped to you. The parking can be tricky. A week ago I stopped by to pick up some new leggings, I was welcomed in by Jessica with a friendly smile. She was very helpful, showed me a few things and remembered me from previously shopping in the store. I went back yesterday because I had purchased the wrong size. ( totally my fault) Again, I was greeted warmly by an associate that welcomed me in. I went to pick up the correct size and found a cute top I wanted to try on. Shannon greeted me warmly, opened a room, and gave me her opinion when I asked and she was spot on! When I went to do my return, Molly and Vaga assisted me at the register. I showed Vaga that the green top, which I thought had a small mark on it. She even took me out in to the natural light to check. When she sensed my hesitation about buying it she check if she had another in the back and went quickly to get me a new one. All the young ladies were friendly, helpful and kind! I brought my elderly grandmother in because she loves going shopping with me. I was helped by a nice man with a buzz cut who chatted with my grandmother and it honestly made her day because she doesn't get out much. Every time I go in here the customer service is awesome! On multiple occasions I've been offered great advice of items that work well for what I'm looking for since I work in training and need to appear professional around athletes. Additionally, had AWESOME help finding a pair of sneakers for my mom (60+ y/o) who needs extra supportive shoes and needed something durable for a trip. One of the team sat down with me and walked through the options and helped me pick a style that was great for her and they ended up being a perfect match... and she never even had to come in herself. Very helpful and storefront always is clean and organized, which must be hard considering how many people are in and out of this location every day! I am a frequent shopper and I heard about their products for a while. I just happen to be in RI and decided to go to Garden City. I saw this LuLuLemon store and had to go in. The staff is amazing, and I have an extensive background in Customer Service. The staff was so helpful and pleasant upon entering. When I mean staff I mean the entire staff from the cashiers to the fitting room attendants/salespeople . I thought it was a nice to touch for them to write your name on the small dry erase board on the fitting room doors. I wish I could single out 1 person but everyone was so helpful! This is very rare these days to see such an excellent and knowledgeable staff! I only shop locally depending on which place I am staying at the time so I will definitely be shopping there again ! The new lululemon store in GC is nothing short of awesome. Every crop, top, mat, undie, legging or lounge item you could possibly desire they have here, all neatly arranged and easy to pick from their magical walls of display cubbies. No sooner will you select an item than a sweet, friendly and incredibly fit lady will arrive to comment, introduce herself and then whisk your pick away into a changing cubicle for you. Such service. I have to be honest and tell you I resisted the lulu for a long time. $60 work out tops? $90 leggings?! Craziness. Then I started going yoga, and then I started doing yoga hardcore. You see, lulu's stuff doesn't ride up, pill, lose shape or get stanky which is nothing short of amazing given the extent to which I sweat, twist, stretch and fall in it. It really is superior, not to mention super cute and flattering. Anyway, the new location is beautiful, fun and compelling in do many ways, and I'm glad it's just a hop, skip and jump from the PVD. I've seldom run into a bad experience at lululemon, but this is one of my favorite locations. The team there is always super welcoming even when you can tell that they're hustling to help multiple guests. The autonomous shopping environment is welcoming in comparison to the useless, obligatory inquiries you get elsewhere. They won't be up your ass when you're looking around but are quick to offer tidbits of product education and will provide extensive product knowledge if you ask them questions. People with Issues with ageism are projecting, the wide range of ages of the employees and the willingness to help anyone that walks in the door speaks louder than people who expect people to rush them and provide disingenuous service. Have a question? Ask! Markdowns vary store to store, sometimes they're separated, sometimes they're mixed in with their normal stock. The staff usually has a grasp on what and where the markdowns are. They've also extended their sizing on core styles that are available in size 0 and 14 online. The company's ideology behind not offering larger sizes is that the cost of production would have been passed on to the consumer. They've listened to feedback and are taking efforts to make product for a variety of body shapes. Some styles fit differently than others. If you're unsure whether or not something will fit, ask the team, they'll get you into a flattering style or be quick to find something to order online (free delivery). read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service today in store. I know that Lululemon has a policy that if the quality of the item is compromised within the standard lifetime then they will be taken back. As read on their website "If our product doesn't preform for you, we'll take it back." Because of this I took in a part of my align leggings that I've had for not even a year, because they were pilling expecting to get a replacement or return of some sore; but instead the customer service person was rude, made insulting statements, and disregarded the policy. read more

My 94 year old grandmother, Norie, lives alone in the house where she grew up in Warwick RI. It's nearly impossible to get her out of the house, let alone, to anywhere that isn't the Newport Creamery in Warwick. After A LOT of granddaughter-ly encouragement (and a little force!) I convinced her to come with me to Garden City to go shopping like the good old days. I truly cannot emphasize enough how lovely, accommodating and helpful ALL of the employees at Lululemon were to us. They immediately brought out a chair for Norie to sit down, they kept an eye on her when I was in the dressing room, and they befriended her and cracked jokes like they were all old friends. I should add, Norie is a classic New England sass-master, so I'm sure that the folks at Lulu were equally entertained by her presence. That said, I'm not sure any of them realized how big of a deal it was for me, for her, and for my family, to get her out and about. I was absolutely blown away and I cannot thank the employees there enough for making this day so easy and memorable for us. Whatever they are paid it should be tripled! Being a reasonably fit 60 year old, i went to this shop to buy a yoga mat, as recommended by the yoga studio In my neighborhood. I was ignored by the staff, even though i browsed the mats, wandered the store, returned to the mats once again. No staff offered assistance or a greeting. However there were many hearty and over enthusiastic " hi, welcome, how are you?" greetings offered to the obvious demographic for the clothing. I know retail jobs are low paing, and customers can be difficult. I work in retail part time. However customer service is important . I bought my mat elsewhere, and took the time to write a negative review. I wonder was it age discrimination? read more

I've accepted (finally) that im addicted to lululemon clothes. When you think about buying a $100 pair of sweat pants, it sounds preposterous. I know this. Then you wear them and you dont want to ever wear anything else. I've been ruined. Lululemon clothes are highly technically designed to fit accurately and comfortably while somehow making you instantly feel like a fitness model. Stuff goes on sale...try it. Go ahead; just do it. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They are all pretty active in the fitness/wellness lifestyle and bring real world experiences to their job. I bought a LULULEMON Yoga Mat and I had an asthma attack! The first night, I kept the yoga mat in my bedroom by thinking that I will have a nice stretch in the morning. I woke up with the difficulty to breath and I was coughing a lot. I was not sure if it was really the strong smell of the chemicals from the LULULEMON Yoga Mat but every time that I was getting closer to it, I was heavily reacting to it. When I read about the chemicals used for this yoga mat, I figured out that their chemicals used are toxic and can dangerous for your health. I went immediately to the store to share my experience and I had a hard time to get my refund! I still cannot believe that the lady told me that with the time, the strong smell of rubber will get away! She did not understand that it is not about just a smell but a product that can be dangerous for your health! Tonight, I have pain in the lungs and strong headaches, the smell is still a bit in my bedroom and I have to wash the towel that I put on the mat. The towel smells like the disgusting tire of a car! I was never born asthmatic, there are a new study that say: asthma and allergies have increased in the developed world during the last 30 years. The companies want to promote nice new products by using strong chemicals to make the product to look good but bad for our health and it just makes us sicker! Please look for a hypo-allergenic Yoga Mat instead and please do not encourage the products using dangerous chemicals! read more

The first time I walked into the store I didn't even know it was Lululemon since there was only a symbol out front. I finally got back yesterday and I'm happy that I did. I chatted with a very friendly staff member who gave me the real scoop about what went down with the quality issues with their pants and assured me that the problems had been fixed. When I told her I was looking for running pants she showed me the styles they carry and got me set up in a fitting room. She even brought me some items that had been marked down. Sweet! Eventually I settled on a full-price pair for $86. I had some sticker shock but when I think about the money I've spent on inexpensive pants and tights that don't hold up it makes sense to spend the extra money. I hope my pants live up to the brand's reputation. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I came in the store with my 2 girls to exchange the leggings I bought for them on Christmas . The pulls in the pants were horrible. The man who assisted me was not helpful at all. He told me it was my fault and it was caused by the way we washed them. Unacceptable, he even pulled out the electronic sweater pull remover and showed me how to use it on the leggings. Also, My daughter Needed to get her underwonders hemmed . She put the pants on and the lady pinned and marked where the leggings were to be hemmed right below her ankle. I waited a week to pick them up . I brought them home for my daughter and she put them on! They were Capri length she al ready has a pair of Capri length . I called up the store and the lady that answered said she was not sure if she could help and she wanted us to come into the store. She was very dismissive. This is not the experience I have ever had at any other lulu lemon store. I was so upset I called the main office . Kate the consultant I spoke to was so very helpful . No problems at all. Came in to shop for my birthday last night as a surprise from my boyfriend- I typically never step foot in here due to the high prices. I was checking out the workout leggings when Alecia came over to see if I needed help. I typically prefer to shop on my own and don't like suggestions or sales pitches, however Alecia was very helpful. She pointed me towards the pants which would work best for my workout routine and thoroughly explained the differences and benefits. I was sold. I decided to try on some tops as well. Alecia wrote a cute little birthday message on my fitting room door and was beyond helpful finding alternate sizes and styles to fit my larger chest. She even brought in some sale items which I appreciated. In the end I settled on a pair of running tights and a $168 sweater. I have never spent so much on one article of clothing but when I tried this on I couldn't imagine taking it off.
