I was invited to a private shopping night and had such a great experience, largely thanks to how helpful Jill was throughout the visit. She was attentive without being pushy and made the whole experience feel effortless. There was also a gift with purchase for $200+, which I didn't opt into, but the 25% off my purchase was more than enough incentive. The staff here were so helpful! I was treating myself to a new workout outfit for a competition I was doing. They helped me pick out the best leggings for me and helped me find the color I wanted. I also got a tank top and they helped me create the whole thing. The store itself is clean and bright. Lulu is a bit pricy but the experience and quality that you get is worth it to treat yourself. I came in on a friday evening and all the staff members greeted me, they all had very good energy and were very polite and made great conversation. they were just in the right spots when i needed help and opinions. i truly feel like each member of this team had my best interest at heart and gave me genuine, good feedback instead of just trying to sell their product. not to mention, they had the largest men's sale rack i've seen in all of St. Louis. they later told me that their men section in general is the largest in the region. read more

I never hide the fact I'm a big fan of the Lululemon brand although I do not own a single article from them. All of my experience have been through my children which was again the case at this Central West End store. Parking is directly in front of the store by meter. No debris was seen in the area upon walk up. Signage is great and the storefront attractive. My son had sweats to exchange, but no receipt since they were a gift. He met Sydney who immediately agreed to assist him and looked up sizing to exchange. She found a few possible that he tried on and one was a great fit. The entire time she smiled and was friendly to work with. The business was clean with well organized inventory. The displays attractive. The store is on the smaller side, but stocked well. The quality of their products is a big reason we return. Checkout was smooth and an even exchange took place. The employees are extremely helpful and if there's something you like but they don't have in stock they immediately offer to check Frontenac for you. They have the most impressive fitting rooms EVER!!!!! Super chic, comfy, cozy, large with decor straight out of the Anthropolgie catalog. I didn't want to leave the fitting room and I just wanted to ask for a blanket and take a nap there. Next best feature is the restroom! I know.....crazy right. Well I know you don't want to ear this but yep... the restroom is pretty dope people. 5 stars based on the how well kept and decorated this space is alone. Everything else is bonus. I'm so happy they've opened another store here in St. Louis that's closer to us city people, and especially one so nicely situated in Maryland plaza alongside plenty of other shopping and dining options. It's a beautiful, spacious store with plenty of natural light and an organized, easy-to-navigate layout. It's true that Lululemon can be outrageously priced -- $108 for a long-sleeved shirt?! This sh*t better be made out of gold. But really, they often have items that are marked down scattered about the store, and their sale items are often comparable in price to what you would find at Target lately (I've seen $29 dollars for a work-out top at both), and it's much nicer stuff. I've also heard complaints that Lulu has started using cheaper materials and the quality has gone down as a result. I can't comment on that specifically, considering I was a lazy couch potato up until the way-too-recent past and had no need to be perusing fitness apparel at Lulu's supposed "prime." So, I don't know what they were like back then, but I will say that I have been more that satisfied with what I've gotten there since. The attention to detail is key. Lots of items have SPF built into the fabric, cloth flaps to cover zippers and hidden credit card/smart phone pockets. Their running shirts have thumbholes to keep sleeves in place and wrist cuffs that can fold over to cover your hands in case you forgot to bring gloves. IT'S GENIUS. (And terrible, because now I have no excuses to skip my run when it gets too cold outside.) But my favorite thing is the sense of an active living community Lulu brings to the neighborhood. All the posters feature STL area fitness instructors as models, so you'll see your favorite yoga/spinning/barre teachers etc up on the walls here. They also have free yoga classes every Saturday morning (get there early because they get packed) and often organize 5k or 10k fun runs around the neighborhood. Even if you don't want to drop bank on the apparel here, you'll love them for these free community events. read more

I know everyone has their stereotype about Lulu lemon go hours but I have to tell you that this store exceeds all of my expectations of a lululemon retailer. I'm sure quite a bit of this is reflected upon their in-store management, but I have to tell you that there has never been one associate within the store that has ever been rude, unhelpful, or made me feel like I was bothering them. I feel that way often from sales people especially those who aren't on commission, and no one in the store has ever made me feel that way. They are exceptionally accommodating to the quality of their clothing and helping you to find the right size, the right fabric, and the right gear for exactly what you need. I also would love to say that they have different workouts with in the studio or coordinated by the studio, that are typically free some of them may have a small charge but I don't know for sure, and they are very very well respected places to work out or exercise in St. Louis. Examples are practicing yoga, shred 415, and various other yoga studios. I also believe they have a run club or they did at one time. Be careful though, if it is raining or humid their floors do get a little slick. But that's literally the only thing I could think of to critique them on. And I really don't think that's a reflection of them in anyway. Seriously though, I know online shopping is fun, but if you were a first timer, a regular, or even someone who just wants to know more information about their gear and how it can support you in your activities, you have to check out this location of lululemon. The girls working we're really nice and helpful but I had two $100 gift cards and another that I wasn't sure how much was on it. Gifts from birthdays or Christmas' past, never used. One card went through but they couldn't get the others to work. Didn't try to key in the numbers or anything, just swiped them a couple times. They gave me some 1-800 number to call to check my balances. While the workers were nice I think it's bullshit that I couldn't use the cards that had been gifted to me at the store! read more

This particular Lulu location was smaller than some that I've been to, but they had a nice selection of merchandise. The ladies who were working at the changing rooms were super nice and helpful. I ended up with a cute pair of running shorts which made their debut yesterday. They were comfortable through my run and stayed put the entire time. There's nothing worse than clothing getting in the way of a workout. That's something I never have to worry about with Lululemon's apparel. My friend got some really adorable pants that I keep thinking I may need to buy for myself. If only they had sales! read more

I went here to see if I could exchange some shorts that ended up ripping at a seam. They were about a year or so old and they don't carry them anymore. The woman was very nice and I was able to exchange the defective shorts for a new pair. Everyone was nice and helpful, I even had a nice talk about yoga classes they offer in store. I have shopped at Lululemon for many, many years now. I went in to the Central West end store today with my college aged daughter to purchase skirts for her. We were greeted with a hello but it stopped at that. No one asked if they could help us. I also had a $200 gift certificate I wanted to use today. Their skirt selection was very limited and when I asked about shipping, the blonde gal answered me in a disingenuous way while flipping her hair around. Clearly she did not want to help me as I was interfering with the 3 female employees standing up front chatting amongst themselves. I believe the manager had just left so maybe that is why they acted like that. What a horrible customer service experience from a company that prides themselves on their active wear. I decided to leave and NOT spend my money there. Maybe Lululemon should put some of their pride into training their employees better especially considering the average pair of leggings costs about $130. read more

They've been in Maryland Plaza for a while, and on my way from 10denza, I decided to stop in and browse. The staff were really friendly, and asked me about what type of yoga I practice and just generally chatted me up. The staff person also mentioned that they have free community yoga every Saturday at 9am. I asked to make sure that a donation isn't encouraged, and, no, it's completely free, no donation needed. When I got there, they even had mats for you to use if you didn't bring yours - and mat cleaner to wipe it down. The one thing you might want to bring is water. The visiting teacher was from Practicing Yoga studio and was absolutely amazing. Intense, peaceful and I felt wonderfully (exhausted) afterwards. Their clothes are more than a little out of my price range, and seem to be built for yogi bodies, so are a little conservative in the hips. But, they do have a few items on sale in the store, so I will be back to browse and for yoga. read more

Went in today to bring back something my husband got me for Christmas. The items were purchased Christmas Eve and all I wanted to do was get a gift card. Brand new, all tags attached, receipt and he was with me. We were on our way to lunch in CWE and didn't feel like trying on clothes. The sales associate would only let me exchange in the store in that exact moment and would not even put it on a gift card. I'm NOT a returner - ever. I manage at Nordstrom and can't even believe how bad this customer service is. I really wish I could give it 5 stars because I live so close to this location. I love that Lulu opened up a second store in St. Louis, especially one this spacious. The one in Frontenac feels a lot more cramped. The employees here are also very friendly and nice (I've seen the ones in Frontenac be snotty to customers). They seem genuine and are not in your hair too much while you're looking around. With this said, I feel that the merchandise in this store are somehow less versatile than the one in Frontenac. Because it's so close to where I live, I go to this location more often for new styles. The employees have even told me to come back on a certain date to see the new styles. However, it seems that the one in Frontenac does a better job of carrying more merchandise... which is such a mystery to me given that this location is much larger. I do keep coming back to this one just for the employees; they're so much friendlier and less pushy than the ones in Frontenac. Also, the sale section in Frontenac is much better, so I guess that's one advantage. read more

I had an issue with one of the tanks I purchased and one of the staff members, Ashley, was super nice and helped take of it for me!

We were in the area for brunch so I definitely wanted to check out this new store. Two thumbs up to the staff, they were great! Everyone was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we found what we were looking for and made great suggestions. The store was bright and clean. We tried on tons of clothes and the staff happily took everything we didn't want and started putting it away without grumbling about the mound of clothes we didn't buy. We ended up with a few good finds, but I will say that their sizing is confusing. I had to ask since it starts at a size 2, so basically you need to buy everything at least a size or two above what you normally are. Not a huge deal, but just think it's odd and women would much rather but clothing smaller than usual rather than larger, but that's just my opinion. Yes, this store is expensive but it's great quality. You can find good deals on the sale rack, but it's pretty limited. The girls told us about their events such as yoga every Saturday morning (free!), monthly yoga on Thursday nights at the plaza near Scape with wine tasting after (limited and by reservation) and a running club on Wednesday nights from the store; how great is all of that?! I absolutely love Lululemon! Where I live, they only have a showroom so to come to a store is great. There wasn't a lot of people in the store mid afternoon. I tried on some crops (which were wonderful), and the employees were amazing. They were asking me all sorts of questions about the pants I was looking to buy. One lady was magnificent. She asked for my name when I tried the pants on and talked to me later on using my name (which was personal, I really like that). She also recommended some places in St. Louis, since I was from out of town. Some people would complain that Lululemon is going downhill, but I disagree. If you find the right pair of pants or shirt, you'll never go back to generic workout clothes. The material is amazing, and though it can be pretty pricy it's totally worth it. If you're driving or walking by, stopping in is a total must. read more
