I am probably among his first customers, when he had the Euclid shop. This was in the hey days of the CWE, Flamingo Cafe, Europa, Balaban's, Culpepper's and others. I wanted a sandal with no back strap and with Steve's input, I got my first pair of custom sandals. The toe strap finally broke, and an identical new pair was purchased when the shop was on Delmar. The third pair was purchased while he was in Belleville. I wore and still wear these sandals virtually every day that the weather allows. Cheaper, accepted by the masses, but classless, flip-flops have never had a place in my closet. I don't need new sandals, but I need Steve's skill to see if he can salvage a Mary Francis purse in which the "leather" shoulder strap, cracked, peeled, chipped and is unusable, as it is. I believe anything that you buy from Steve will be as well made and your experience will make you believe that there are still people who don't accept mediocrity in their products. I have to run for my job and I don't want to be the guy who is "in shape" but can run 1/4 mile without dying . With that being said, I despise running because it kills my feet. So I decided to get fitted at this location. Jaclyn was a pro and have 4-5 pairs of shoes in front of me within 5 minutes. She had me stand on their 3D scanner, walk on their special pads, and walk so she could see my steps. She was a real pro. Than came the shoes. She got 4-5 pairs out, helped me get them on and off and had the patience of a saint. Granted I was pretty easy and fast, but I could tell she was ready to help me all day if need be. 18 minutes and she had me in the perfect shoe....unreal and I'm beyond happy with my purchase. Thank you so much to this location for having such great employees. Value here I felt was really great. She also pointed me towards the shoes I NEEDED and not the ones that were the newest or most expensive. She only even asked for my opinion, and gave facts about the shoes. We left with much more - inserts that should help me, especially during soccer, a pair of shoes for my wife that have her excited about how well they fit and perform, and a couple other Christmas stocking stuffers. Beyond the high quality shoes, we have a better understanding of our feet... my heel has been a bit tight the past few weeks and I have found a few stretches that help it loosen up.
