Well, this was my first time being in the shop to make a purchase. Experience was not what I have expected. I walked in, knowing exactly what I wanted as I have checked out the items online. I just needed to figure out if it will fit me. I took the item off the shelf, and the assistant almost immediately came over to me, took the pull over, and said it will be in the changing room for you to fit on!!! I haven't even had the item in my hand for 2 minutes. I went to the changing room, please note there was a 7ft man standing at the door too, and I got undress/ dressed, and got out. when I got out of the fitting room the assistant once again said, Let me take that from you, it will be at the counter ready to pay... huh. I still didn't even have these items 2 minutes in my hands!!! when I got to the counter the cashier said, you can just tap your card!!! I will be honest I didn't enjoy this shopping experience at all, I felt like I was put on the spot, and I didn't even know what to make of this! The items I wanted, I got them, but you don't go to super store, and the cashier or assistant doesn't take the items out of your hands and put them at the counter when you are still busy shopping? no they don't, so why does these assistants do that? total amount was $218 for a 9 min shopping experience, it wasn't about the money, but you want to enjoy the experience of retail therapy, and this was not great. if you don't want customer to see, feel, and roam the store, then you should only have an online store! read more

Lululemon is definitely located in the right spot, right next to Mills on Spring Garden Rd. March Break is here and Lulu has the gear!, I know Corny! The first thing that hit me when I walked in was a wonderful sent of tangerine, at least I think that is what it was, the smell was heaven. This place was packed today, I know it was a combination of beautiful weather, Spring Garden and March Break. There was no sign of recession in this store. The line went from the cash right to the back of the store. I could not believe it. And no one was blinking an eye at the cost, $58.00 top, $130.00 jacket, $90.00 pants. I do think some people will choke on the prices, but I believe you will get great quality. Either that or half of Halifax has lost their minds, because I have never seen so many people in a store, and no sale going on. The styles and colours here are a step above the others you will find. They had some great selections. There was one jacket I thought was a pretty good price, the $130.00 Rain Jacket. read more

I was recently back in at Lulu to try and find a gift for a special friend. As usual, two of their "ambassadors" were at the front of the store doing stretching and balancing acts. While I'll admit that at first, I found this to be kind of neat, I have come to find it to be very distracting and lacking professionalism. Inside, the staff members were quite friendly and eager to assist. While I had gone there with the intention of buying a work-out t-shirt, after discovering that one of the cheapest and most basic t-shirts was $58, which by the way was made overseas, I decided against the purchase. I then went and checked out the exercise pants, and while I agree, they were some of the nicest exercise pants I had ever seen, I simply could not justify paying $98 + tax for a pair of work-out pants. Needless to say, I left the store once again, empty handed, and am continuing to wonder how work-out clothing can demand such high prices. read more

Although i'm a tad hesitant to give this lulu full marks, primarily based on the cost, I have been super impressed with the purchases I have made here. Everything from water bottles to leggings to sports bras, this place is amazing! You can definitely find cheaper knock offs at other stores but the quality isn't as good. I have yet to find a single lulu item that I have been able to out wear! read more

If there was an option to rate this clothing store's prices any higher, trust me I would have. I don't usually frequent establishments that sell primarily women's yoga gear, but when my girlfriend went to buy her sister a sweater for Christmas I decided to tag along (because that's how I roll). We were greeted immediately by an enthusiastic clerk who informed us of a free weekly yoga class at 10 am on Sundays (the store is closed until noon so you wont have to worry about obstructing patrons with your downward dog). Every worker we passed met us with a smile, but unfortunately I was not able to return their cheer once I saw the prices. $128 (PLUS TAX!) for a faux fur lined zip-up sweater. Without purchasing anything we left, passing the $20 spandex headbands on the way. I'll say that again, $20 spandex headband. Seriously?! In short, if you are looking to buy into the Lulu Lemon brand then the staff at this store are more than willing to help in any way they can. If you are just looking for active wear that wont empty your bank account, you would be better off going somewhere else. read more

Lululemon Athletica - Sports Wear Near Me - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Khaled is amazing!! Talked to quite a few employees who were all very nice and helpful but he went above and beyond and is awesome!!!

This store stresses me out to no end. Part of it has to do with the fact that I don't wear their clothes so I'm usually being dragged in by some fanatic friend or sent for a gift pick-up, but most of it has to do with the fact that it's generally crawling with people who have drank the lululemon Koolaid and seem to have some strange sixth sense that tells them that I don't belong there. Rows upon rows of brightly coloured activewear have turned this shop into a precarious maze of yoga pants and complicated-looking tank tops, with each accidental bump resulting in a rainbow confetti of fallen tees and associated eyerolls from pretty girls with high ponytails in tracksuits. Honestly, shopping here must be what fathers of teenaged girls feel like ALL THE TIME. On the plus side, staff are tremendously helpful when you ask for some guidance. Given that your quest for a simple gym tee quickly becomes having to choose from 2892490 different styles, this is really important. Sure - you're going to spend more than you thought possible on gym clothes for that special lady in your life. Sure - you're probably not going to buy this specific three-strap, criss-cross, no whip halter tank she actually asked for. But hey...she'll be just as happy to run back to her happy place to make the exchange and you'll still be the Christmas morning hero. read more

I've always like Lulu- I try to get stuff in my price point on sale or stuff I'll pay full price for if I really want it. I find the staff nice and helpful wether you call to ask a question or walk in the store- they are great to help you with sizing and look in regards to fitting room and I find they are truthful- I've taken advantage of their hemming service (free) which is a bonus and have been very happy with results. read more

Lululemon does come as a little over-hyped. Its pricey and pretty trendy, but they do offer some very breathable, quality work out gear amongst it all. I wouldn't shell out 85 big ones for a Lulu embroidered hoodie; however, I do own a few pieces that have served me well throughout the last few years. Two pants specifically intended for hot yoga have become my most worn items. The fabrics are extremely thin and breathable, allowing the sweat to flow and somehow minimize the discomfort of wet sticky ickiness. And with yoga, being comfortable makes a huge difference in what you get out of your practice. These pants feel like a second skin! And being worked out for 3 years... I'd say I got my money's worth. The Spring Garden location is a smaller size boutique, but very open and straightforward. It tends to be very busy... always! But the staff are bubbly and helpful, showcasing their product nicely as well. While there are many items that I'd scout elsewhere for a better price, Lulu houses some great quality yoga/ workout wear. I'm hesitant promote into the whole corporate vision thing, but Lululemon does stem from good roots and the brand knows how to make comfy gear. If you're pretty into your workouts and can pony up the doh, a few key items may be worth investing in. read more

As a huge Lululemon fan I must say I try and avoid this store as much as possible. I find it extremely small, cramped and there's always so may people! I do realize that it is the only location in Nova Scotia but they either need a larger space or another store... It may just be my bad luck but they never seem to have my size in anything I want and am typically told to order online... After being in the international lulu stores I must say, I much prefer them. read more

Oooh my poor bank account. This lululemon is really nice and well organized. Every sales associate is eager to help (sometimes maybe even too eager) and they know all the items well! I once watched one of the ladies who work there approach this one man who looked completely lost. He was shopping for someone else and she was able to send him in the right direction with a few simple questions and then helped him by explaining all the items she was showing him (material, what it'd be best for, etc.). The only thing I don't care for if that the sales associates look just like the shoppers so it's sometimes hard to identify them. So why 4 stars? It's always SOOO crowded! And while it's organized and the workers can handle all the customers with ease, it's annoying to be bumping into everyone and having to wait off to the side until people move so you can view whatever it is they were blocking moments ago. I feel like it's popular enough and they make enough sales to be able to get a bigger space. read more

lululemon is yoga store for women/men. It can be quite pricey don't expect to get a pair of yoga pants for anything less than $90. They have a great selection in sweaters, different types of pants, gym bags, water bottles, headbands, yoga videos, yoga mats, videos, shorts, jackets most of them have different pockets and designed differently. The store is usually packed on the weekends and the website offers free shipping and no duty so i tend to use that if I want to save myself a trip but the staff are very helpful and pleasant. They also offer free yoga classes. I do find the store could be a bit a bit more spacious I always feel crammed when I'm in there. At some point they had a lineup to get in the store and they were only letting a certain amount of people into the store at a time. I also really pleased that they offer free alternations with a purchase not many stores do that. I also look forward to their marketing ideas they are always coming up with unique ideas. read more

I love this store; I shopped at Lululemon Athletica for the first time yesterday. The staff were very helpful and the store was beautiful and organized. Although it's a pricey shop, I think it's worth the investment due to the high quality of their product. Also, if a pair of pants don't fit correctly, they offer complementary hemming (if you purchase something before 3:00 P.M., it's ready the same day - otherwise, the next day). Clothes feel great, look great, and most importantly, the associates genuinely care about helping you. That's probably why the store is usually very busy. read more

I am a lulu junkie! Love their spring garden location, however its always so bloody crowded in there. Nice that they are dog friendly though. Most times I find myself ordering online OR I will try and get in there when its not during the peak hours of super business. Only thing I don't like: there are NO returns or exchanges on sale items AT ALL. read more

Lululemon is not a store for the faint of wallet; however, if you are willing to pay top dollar for Lulu merchandise, you can be guaranteed the ultimate in comfort and durability. Time and time again I've heard people say, "why waste hundreds of dollars on a pair of pants you can get cheaper elsewhere?". True, there are places that offer more affordable alternatives, but their merchandise is generally less comfortable (I actually had a friend and noted Lulu-skeptic try on a shirt and pants, and she acknoledged they were more comfortable than her usual yoga wear) And even though the clothes are pricey, they're built to last you for a long time. I have a few pairs of pants, 2 hoodies and a workout jacket I bought a few years ago. I still have all of them, it's amazing. A great thing about Lululemon is that they stand by their products and promote excellent customer service. I once had a pair of pants tear a little near the inseam not long after I'd first bought them (nothing major, but enough for me to notice). The staff at Lululemon (this happened to be at an Ottawa location), told me to bring them in and they'd fix them up at no charge. They had them mended and returned to me the next day- I still have them, and they're in as perfect condition as the day I bought them. Lulu.... It's pricey, but totally worth it read more

Being a 34 year old male, I know I'm not the target demographic for Lululemon. However, a little while ago, my wife started raving about their clothes and, after much prodding, managed to convince me to check out their menswear. Yes, the prices are high, but after buying my first shirt from Lululemon, I became a convert. I've never worn clothes to the gym that manages to both breathe so well and wick away sweat while you workout. That, topped with the fact that the clothing is extremely well made and practical (with really well thought out design, such as convenient pockets for cell phones / mp3 players) and I can completely and confidently state that their clothing is worth the price (and, as one of my gym instructor friends has shared to me, lasts forever). Their service is also top notch: should any products be defective (which happens), they'll gladly take it back and offer a refund, exchange or store credit (I had an issue where down from a winter jacket started popping out of the jacket proper, but didn't have my receipt: they didn't hesitate in offering a full credit for the jacket and made me a very happy customer). Honestly, I've never had much of an interest in 'brand name' clothing before, but I can state from experience that Lululemon's stuff is worth the price you pay. read more

Lululemon was the most popular brand of clothing at my university during my first year. Luckily for my pocket book the trend had started to wear down by the time is store was established on Spring Garden Avenue. I own a few items of Lulu clothing, and they've lasted really well over the years. This is lucky because it would be impossible to replace all those clothes at the steep Lulu prices. Last time I was in I bought a extra wide fabric (maybe ventilated?) headband. It holds back my tiny bangs when I'm active, so it was a good purchase (even at twelve dollars). There are very few sales, and not much stock in each size. Both of these factors make the products that Lululemon sells very elite, but in reality it's just kind of lame. I don't want to dish out $128.00 plus tax for a windbreaker. Hot Hint: Most staff members are trained in Yoga as part of their customer service training and they host Sunday morning yoga themselves in store. read more

Although I would probably never buy anything here by myself due to the ridiculous. prices. When encountering items as expensive as these I fall more into the "won't buy because I have issues with being price gouged" than the "can't afford" category. Nevertheless I had a gift card, and I really do like this stores products. So having gift card, I made use of the opportunity to go in the store and shop for workout pants. The store was very very busy, but there were enough staff on hand to assist with fitting rooms etc so that it didn't really impact my shopping experience.. Especially since, as usual, the men's department wasn't nearly as crowded as the women's. I saw some jackets and sweaters that I would absolutely love to have, but upon looking at the price tags, I instead felt a mixture of dismay followed by being a little angry about it.. Alas, theres nothing I can do about that, so I found some pants that fit me eventually. I had to try on a number of sizes and the sales associates were very prompt and helpful in finding me pants in the right dimensions. They needed hemming, which is a service offered at this branch within 24 hours and from what I was told are available the next day by 3pm. I am very happy with my pants, as they are extremely comfortable and seem quite durable. So to sum it up, I would recommend this store if you have the money and the will to spend a LOT of it. If you're poor as a church mouse, or on a budget, or have a problem with hemorrhaging cash for a name brand, you are likely to feel quite nauseous. read more

Hands down, Lululemon offers one of the best selection of yoga gear in the city. Now granted, the prices are on the high side (which is why this review is only giving four stars), but the quality of construction and the durability of the clothing is unsurpassed. As soon as you step inside Lululemon, it's obvious you've entered a high-end store. Tables are stacked high with hoodies and yoga pants, with a median price of around $90 or so. If you're used to shopping at WalMart, this might be enough to discourage you - but give it a chance. Lululemon gear wears like iron; often times, a pair of yoga pants will last four years or more, and that's with heavy usage (several times a week). If you can get past the sticker shock, Lululemon offers great value for your money. read more

On any given day in HRM, Lululemon must be the busiest store in Halifax. With the exception of early weekday mornings, every time I set foot in this store, it's packed tighter than a can of sardines. Try to avoid the weekends and Friday evenings to have a little more space to browse the wide selection of women's yoga and running gear and the growing selection of men's items. The colour palettes and designs are fun and the frequency of new designs can make easily make you a Lulu addict. Despite the crowds, there are a generous number of fitting rooms making it easy to try clothes on. The fitting room staff is very helpful whether you need another size or have a question about the product. A nice perk is that free hemming is available for all pants. Because of the high volume of sales if you see something you like, buy it then or be prepared to miss out. This is especially the case if it is a larger size. They tend to go quickly. I say this as a larger-chested individual who generally takes a 10 in this clothing. What you see today may not be there two days later. You have 14 days to return it for your money back unless, of course, it's a final sale. One thing that continues to mystify me is that for the high price of this clothing (a pair of pants is about $86 plus tax), it can be difficult to maintain. Items made with Lulu's original signature Luon fabric should not be washed with cottons, especially towels or socks, because it will cause the clothing to pill. I can count on more than one hand the number of people I have seen walking around Halifax in these very expensive yoga pants only to have pills on their bums. As the proud owner of a new pair of Lulu running tights, I am going to do everything in power to avoid this look. Consult the website for fabric care tips. To fulfill the Lululemon mission of helping people to live a longer, healthier, more fun life, the store offers free yoga classes taught by local instructors throughout the week and on Sunday mornings. Check the calendar by the cash register. And, no, you don't have to be wearing Lulu to participate. read more

Favourite store! Friendly staff who take the time to help you out and listen. It is pricey but the quality is amazing and they stand behind their gear and if isn't performing for you, they will do whatever they can to satisfy you. My only complaint is the music can be a bit loud. read more

As a plus size woman, I was upset of the lack of options for me at LLL, but was APALLED at how I was treated during my first (and only) visit to this store. They might as well hung a sign outside saying "No fatties allowed". I was there with a friend who is LLL's target customer. An active 30 something with lots of cash and a tiny waist. While they could not do more to help her find another $60 top, I was left to stand there and just be stared at by the staff. No help or guidance offered, but I guess, why would they? I have never felt more uncomfortable to be in a store in my life. I felt so unwanted, I ended up waiting for my fiend outside. Their glares literally drove me out of the store. LLL makes it very clear who they want wearing their clothes, And if they don't want to make plus sizes that is fine, but they should understand that most plus size woman would not mind paying a little more for the extra fabric. (cotton Ginny did so with their plus sizes for years). Unfortunutly, it's too late for me, LLL will never have me as a customer. Now that I know there is a company that will appreciate my business, I will be shopping at Key Lime Clothing. LLL can kiss my (too fat for their liking) ass! read more

Ahhh the home of the "magic pants". Pants that will transform the female behind from cushy to captivating. I...Love...these...pants. I know, I know, it may seem ridiculous to spend that kind of money on pants to sweat in, but trust me you won't be sorry. The staff here is always helpful and can point you in the right direction for whatever you are looking for. I do recommend visiting here on any day that is not on the weekend as it tends to get really busy and filled with pushy ladies and the men who love them standing around holding up the wall looking extremely uncomfortable. I like to just go by myself so I don't feel rushed and can take my time to look around comfortably. And trust me about the pants...your butt will thank you :) read more

Spring Garden does an annual shopping event called Shopping under the Stars, where many of the stores along the main strip stay open late and offer incentives like tax free purchasing to get you to buy more. I accompanied friends to Lululemon during this event, and ay-yay-yay! Not a great idea unless you are desperate for yoga wear. The shocking part, though, was when I was told that this was not really a result of the sale. Of course, it was worse on this particular day, but apparently it's madness in there pretty much every weekend. Yikes. Though I didn't need to do any shopping, we checked out a few items that were within arm's reach while we waited in that godforsaken line and the prices were really high. I picked up a neoprene jacket that was an astounding $138; a lightweight, quick-dry t-shirt was $58. I know that people like this place a lot, and that apparently the pants make your hiney look finey, but I'm certainly not shelling out what they're asking for simple athletic gear. read more

The clothes are nice... Price... By nice. The store is a little confusing to find anything in unless you have a sales associate help you... And with that said. They size you up as soon as you walk in the door... And I feel if you don't have that certain look.... You're not worth their time. Like walking into an expensive car dealership to browse. They're snotty little girls give the look of... Why are you here? . Just my opinion. And yes. I did buy something after I looked for it and being snubbed twice read more

I have to say I've become a huge fan of lulu. When I first heard about lulu and their prices I was automatically turned off and not interested. I went in one day with friends while they were picking up some pants. I was wondering what all the fuss was about and began to look around for myself. I decided to cave and try on a pair of the groove pants. BIG MISTAKE. I instantly understood the love of lulu. They may have been $98 pants but they were the most comfortable article of clothing I have EVER had on my body. And thus my love of lulu was born. Recently my husband and I have joined GoodLife and I decided it was time to use my ever growing lulu collection for what they were actually intended for. No more lounging in my supper comfy Groove pants... they were going to do just that... Groove. I have begun to understand their "technical" fabrics (IE: lulon) more and more and actually see the major difference between their brand and lower end brands. In short. Lulu may be overpriced for most, but if you are athletic or intend on going to the gym more than 3 times a week I suggest you invest in the long term "technical" fabrics of lulu. Every gal should own a pair of curve hugging pants that make your butt look like Beyoncé's! read more

I am a fan of Lululemon for sure, however, I love the store, but hate the location. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Lululemon sales would still soar if they were located at one of the shopping centres in Halifax or Dartmouth or even the newest Dartmouth Crossing location. Downtown Halifax has to be the worst city I have ever tried to shop. The streets were made for horse and buggy. Most of the time I just make due with what I have, or if I know the size I will order on-line. Judging from some of the reviews I have read I am not alone in my thinking. I am certain if they opened in another location, I and many more would most definitely shop there more often. Hubby might not like it, but I sure would :) read more

I had to make an account just to put a review up because hands down this is some of the best service I received. I am half way through my first pregnancy and feeling rather uncomfortable in my skin . I went to lulu to look for someone else not my self but was encouraged to try something on so I did. I was a bit distracted by the price and the close fitting of the clothes but the staff made me feel very comfortable and offered their honest opinions. They took what I said and really listened to what I needed. I was very unsure by the end of it and tried on about 10 pairs the staff were generous and kind I will not only return because of their generosity , but because they were understanding and made me feel so comfortable. You are all great and made me feel amazing thank you soo much for this experience I will return to lulu and I suggest everyone take a peek. read more

Being a yoga guy. I find it hard to not like this place however the people who shop here are mostly people you would be hard pressed to spot in a yoga class. The whole horseshoe lu lu symbol is more of a status sign for teenage girls it seems these days. The tight pants and lu lu hoodie is so common even at the grocery store check out. Look around a class at any yoga studio in the city. Well at least from my experience and I am one of the only fools who wear this brand. It is not cheap. My advice is if you are going to shop here unless you don't care about the money try to get to the sale racks for a glance and even better yet if you ever visit New York and go to Woodberry outlets. Do go to the Lu lu outlet there. I got great deals what you will pay 80 bucks for a yoga shirt here in Halifax will cost you 22 bucks at the outlet in New York. BTW just to inform my readers. If you buy lu lu here are you really supporting local business? Had to put that out there. One person chewed me out in a private message once for expressing my love for the USA outlet stores. Lol I do like and support local business. Just to be clear but the key here is local business. When I talk local business. I am talking about the business that are not just local but locally owned as well. read more

I like the merchandise and the layout of the store. However, I absolutely cannot stand the staff. I am at the point I would rather order Lululemon items on-line (which I already have plenty of already but I am pretty active). Most of the staff are young teenage girls who practically scream in your ear that "this skirt has shorts in it" and that "this short has silver in it", etc., etc. I KNOW!!!! I can read the labels! ..and I own a few, just like most of your clientele! Please spare me the pain of having to hear these annoying mini-speeches fifteen times during the 15 minutes at the store. How about actually going to the back room and looking for the size that I asked for instead? Oh, no, that would be too much work! (Yes, I did see that you actually did not go there.) ...and also, yes, if you said you were in the fitting room to get me another size or colour, please don't hide and bring another size or colour instead of saying, "oh, I don't think we have it" without even checking. Seriously, most of the customers in the store who are willing to pay these kinds of prices deserve less attitude, less screeching, and more actual help. God forbid you try to return something! My, that is when they look at out as if you are their biggest enemy and, while doing it (yes, it is less than 2 weeks and yes I do have my receipt and tags), giving you rolled eyes and attitude. Honestly, I can care less what you think of me, I am your customer, so do your job and stop being annoying! read more
