First time at this SC location…read more I was completely impressed with my entire experience. The store modern, big and bright, with the best merchandising I've seen in a long time. When I first walked in, I was greeted with a smile by a girl working at a welcoming station at the front. I asked where men's shoes were, and she showed me, but also informed me that a sales associate that was in our vicinity could help me. Perfect ! I knew exactly what I needed. I showed him the item on my phone, he looked up the product # on his handheld and off he went to get it for me. He quickly reappeared with box in hand! The shoes were exactly what I wanted and they were on sale for a really great price. I went to the cash area, where there were a few people in front of me. I didn't have to wait for more than a minute or two before it was my turn. The cashier was also smiling and friendly. She showed me how to maximize my points on the Triangle App, then I paid and was on my way. This was a really great shopping experience with customer service that goes above and beyond.

This is a raving review for Reza specifically -…read more I rushed into the store literally 30 minutes before close frantically looking for literally any snow gear that could fit me (it's difficult and I often have to shop in the Children's section). Reza is a champ and immediately got to work. He went through the entire store and pulled so much for me and was so incredibly patient even as I started becoming more picky with the options. While helping me, he was also impressively attentive with another couple who seemed to be last minute shopping as well. Generally speaking, I was really pleased with all of the customer service through out the store. From the moment I walked in, to the check out process on my way out, everyone was super pleasant, even considering the fact that they were officially closed at the time I was checking out. Worst service I've experienced in a store in my life!…read more I shopped online and selected 3 items to purchase; a friend picked everything up in-store. 1) Swix Wax bundle - not as advertised (depiction & info). This bundle is supposed to have V45 wax. The bundle contains V20 (useless). 2) Swix Nordic liquid wax - not as advertised (information). Says it is suitable for waxless & waxable skis as your primary glide wax. In reality, the packaging says for waxless only and suitable as a glide enhancer & cleaner.... indicating that you still need to prep with an alternative glide wax first. 3) Rottefella bindings - not as depicted. I see nothing boldly wrong with them but, again, not the same as the ones depicted. I phoned Atmosphere today and asked for customer service. Looooong pause. I guess the employee doesn't even know if they have a customer service desk or not. Upon explaining what happened and my disappointment, he was suggesting that my friend picked up all of the wrong items. Oh my! I've already submitted my experience feedback form online. I can hardly wait for their response. Luckily, I should be able to return the items to Sport Chek (as long as they sell the same thing). This will save me bus fare and time. I'll never deal with this company again!

Even with zero to gain the employee went out of his way to find me the phone number for True Hockey and told me if I can't get anywhere with that number to call him back and he would get his True hockey sale rep involved. You really need to know your products before going there. You can't trust the sales staff to give you honest advice, they seem to push the high end products regardless of what you are needing. I custom ordered a goalie glove there, and nobody sent the order to the manufacturer. I ended up waiting 4 months when I was quoted 6 weeks. Overrall, very disappointed both times I shopped there. Never again.

I'm here now where there's supposed to be big savings, but I still find the prices quite high so I'm not getting anything. The layout is very confusing to me. IIf I want a piece of equipment, I know where to find those sections, but the clothing is quite confusing. The service here is hit or miss. The people on the floor are usually very helpful. At checkout, though it really is hit or mess. I had one person who totally messed up in order as though she didn't know what she was doing, and I had to doublecheck and triple check to make sure there wasn't a mistake on my credit card. However, I've had other times where a more senior person has been very reasonable in rectifying problems with merchandise. It's not my favourite location for layout and I left thinking I'd rather shop online where it's easier to find what you're looking for and there's more organization. I do like how MEC is back in Canadian hands now. As of May 16, it will be under majority Canadian ownership.
