My Eddie Bauer hand me down coat plus layers had me winter ready, but not The Homie. This sure is a small Eddie Bauer location. Thankfully, this location had the goods sought out and on sale. Sweet. One Superior Down Trapper (hat with ear flaps!), $40.95 Cdn (vs $65) and added a Travel Cup for $8.19 Cdn (vs $13). 30% in-store sale, plus additional 10% for signing up for the Eddie Bauer Adventure Awards card. Kick in a donation to replant a tree. Final cost $56.04 Cdn. Busy retail staff but definitely had the knack to manage customers at the register, on the phone, and wandering the store. Props to Patti! There are more clothes than gear or shoes in this shop and I do not see the clearance section here. The staff is friendly and is able to answer my query and direct me to the area where the throws are kept. They are pretty hidden as there is no real section for Home stuff. I just wish it is a bigger place and carry more items.

Fifteen minutes, a few hundred calories, and a quick Yelp search later, I found myself standing inside of their beautiful Gastown store. First, it's hard not to be smitten by the space itself. Wood, brick, and steel seem to be Gastown staples, and this space blends the materials beautifully. At the same time though, cascading wall plants and some strategically placed trees make the space feel cozy. Factor in the ridiculously comfortable sofa near the dressing rooms, and you just might find yourself inquiring about a sublet. As for the main event, the clothing, the styles are mostly classic (with some welcome twists), the fabrics look and feel expensive, and the cuts are on the slimmer side. You can find everything from t-shirts and chinos to formal suits and sneakers (and pretty much everything in between). And the best part - the prices are actually reasonable. I have to give much deserved kudos to the wonderful staff, who made my shopping experience enjoyable from start to finish. Their patience and assistance while I seemingly tried on everything in the store was greatly appreciated. One final tidbit, make sure to enroll in their rewards program, which gives you back 4% of your in-store purchase for next-time. The credit never expires, and is stored electronically in their computer system for your convenience.

If you are in their store, it is most likely that you've chexked out their website already. My review is based on the customer service I received at the Gastown location. Me being an old dude, I'm use to shopping at GAP where the staff are smiling and super friendly despite on the stupidity of my questions. In this store, I got a blank look when I asked for helped, as if like a regular dude like me don't have clothing questions. The staff was unsure on what products were in promotion which is fine, if I was in their place I wouldnt remember either. It wasn't all that bad, but I just got a negative vibe from the staff almost as if they were lifeless and annoyed. Essentially, Frank and Oak staff in this store really need to smile and greet customers as if they like being there. No attitudes despite on shitty the day is going. The atmosphere in the place felt very snotty which does not make a good shopping experience. Regardless, I will continue to shop here and continue to ask questions so beware staff I will test your patience. I like their products and their prices are fair. Good day to you all!

No exchange if it doesn't fit, only return for $5 processing fee. What kind of clothing company does that? Which is why we look up the store wherever we travel, and looks like the locals here are as excited as us about Uniqlo staking their flag here. Not a fan of this location inside the mall though. Guess the rent is expensive here, for the place feels really tight. I don't even feel so claustrophobic when I shopped Uniqlo in Hong Kong!! Keep an eye out for their sale items. Every week they put something on sale at a nice discount. Very nice value when you consider the quality of the material and workmanship. Typical Japanese simple and durable. Better than Gap, H&M and the like. Their thermal clothing is really comfy too. If you are lucky, you can score at their final sale bin - like $3.90 for a tee shirt - which I did.

What I like about Simons is that there are a large portion of their items are unique to Simons, they have their own name brands in different departments including a line of their very own "Maison" homewares and linen goods all are in good quality, style and price! Of course, they also have the name brand items that are at the other end of the spectrum, with this kind of marketing, they are smart to capture a larger segment of clientele. Service is above average in today's "Department" store type retail, as we see more and more stores only offer a bare bone minimum floor staff, and most often the only Service Staffs is at the Cashier. So all in all, I have to say, with Simons being here in Vancouver, it raised the bar for the Department Stores and offers a greater choice for shoppers!

At first, it seemed minor and I assumed it was normal wear. However, by November 2025, I had to replace the jacket because the zipper failed completely and would no longer zip up. I repurchased the same style because I genuinely liked the jacket. Unfortunately, on just the third wear, I started seeing an excessive amount of feathers all over my clothing. Since then, the feather loss has only gotten worse. To make matters more frustrating, the zipper on this replacement jacket has also failed. Both jackets were purchased intentionally with room to layer underneath, so fit was not an issue. At this point, the jacket is essentially unwearable due to severe down leakage and repeated zipper failure. It's disappointing, but I can now understand why this particular jacket is frequently on sale -- the quality simply isn't there.

I would say the store has a good layout with sale items mostly at the front. The staff is divided 50/50. Half of the staff are great to interact with, however the other half will give you a really hard time. It could be due to a language barrier with some of the staff. The location is never crowded and there are a few seating areas which is nice. Buying and exchanging items is not a hassle but they require signing the customer into their program which can be inconvenient if the sales associate ringing you up is not well versed in English. The store is tucked away on Granville St (very close to Urban Outfitters and Brandy Melville). Their selection of clothing always gets me and the prices are reasonable for what you get. I would say the style is similar to aritzia but at a slightly lower price point which is a plus! Because their clothing pieces are slightly more delicate, I always tend to wash them inside a mesh bag or to wash them inside out. It's all about the dainty necklaces here. This is my go-to for dainty and simple necklaces, the quality is good and the styles are great and affordable. From time to time they have accessories sale which ends up being a bargain. Check this place out but be warned, you might leave the store with a bit less in your wallet but in a good way! Recent purchase: Their grey pocket tee is one of the softest tees I've ever owned. One note: The store doesn't offer refunds and only does exchanges or store credit so be sure to try things on before you make your decision!
