Horrible experience. Took the family there, 6 in total, and waiting over an hour and a half to get our food. If the place was busy I could understand, but it was empty. Servers never came to ask if we wanted more drinks, we needed to ask for more. When the food came out, most of it was way overcooked. They never asked how everything was (not a language issue because we speak spanish). They came over cleaned the plates, two of which were not touched because they burgers and onion rings were burnt. No clue how the food tastes, because after 1.5 hours of waiting with empty water cups and no food. We left. Oddly enough, they had our table separated back out by the time we drove out the parking lot. Yet, they couldn't even stop by to let us know what was up with our food or take our alcohol orders we wanted to make. After the waitress took our order, she completely ignored us for 90 minutes. They had 4 other tables in the whole place with people sitting at them. They were not busy at all. We requested manchego cheese and could barely taste it. So I would give a 2 to the food, a 3 to ambience and a 0 for earth friendly: the mojitos come in plastic zip lock bags. I did a quick google search of the area & this popped up with some great reviews. I came in on a weekday for lunch & it wasn't busy. All the seating is all outside & it was a beautiful breezy day. You're next to the street so you hear the normal car noises, lawn cutters, etc. They do play some music to try to drain it out. It was pleasant for the most part. There's just a few parking spots in the front & some parking in the back but it's not much. The menu is translated to English. I ordered the passion fruit juice, it was delicious. Sweet but not too sweet, tasted very fresh. I got the grilled chicken breast with a salad on the side. The chicken was cooked well, but it was lacking flavor. It just had that bbq grilled taste. The portion was very filling. The picture I took was AFTER I ate half. They did serve rice with it, plain white rice. The salad was nothing out of the ordinary, it included tomatoes & orange slices. It had something on it I could not figure out. It seemed like cheese but it was sweet & mushy looking. It wasn't bad. I definitely couldn't leave without trying the fried Oreos. They were everything & more. If you love chocolate & ice cream definitely try this. It comes with 4 Oreos and a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. This entire meal was like $25 with tip! One of my favorite reasonably priced places to eat in Dorado. Quick service, and great food. They make an excellent burger. My favorite is the three cheese burger, and I add bacon to it (thick juicy cuts not burnt). Avocado sauce isn't great, but the aioli is salad. They also have a good strawberry on the side salads. Just on a whim, and the few reviews in Yelp, we chose Lula's over the half dozen plus other places around it. It was my choice, and the combo of burgers and outdoor seating won over (it was a beautiful night in PR). The service was very good...kudos to the staff on that one. Quick attention, checking in after food delivery...all good points. The Tostones Rellenos were VERY good. The tostones were made to perfection and the meat cooked just as we requested. And this chef/cook knows his way around a carmelized onion!!!! The burgers were very good as well. I will admit the Pull Pork "burger" was a bit in the sweet side with the Guyaba...and not enough BBQ...but I should have known that going in. The Batista fritas (sweet potato fries) were Very good, as the onion rings made to just the right crispiness. I would highly recommend it to those around Dorado if you want a simple and easy night away for the hotel with good food. The burgers aren't as big as other places but they're not bad. It is relatively inexpensive for Puerto Rico standards. I tried the fried cheese for appetizer and it tasted good. Service is good and the waitresses are friendly. The ambiance is casual with reggae music playing. The seating is open and it is nice when the weather behaves. Which is most nights in PR. They seem to have a full bar but I did not see a wine list. A good place to try at least once. They have a good mixture of locals and tourists. read more

Fantastic new addition to dorado! We tried to go to alavara, but it is literally gone. Torn down. And this place is next door. It was great. Beautiful shaded deck with nice tables and comfortable chairs. Service was right away - and our food was FAST! That never happens! All burgers were great. I ordered the fish burger and side salad, when it arrived it was a HUGE cut of white fish. I put it on my salad and had a delicious fish salad for lunch. Onion rings were great. Sweet potato fries could have used a little more salt. Husbands stuffed burger was delicious too. Super clean modern bathrooms. We'll be back!! read more

I think everything should have been amazing. But the burgers were way undercooked, after waiting just under an hour. I got the three cheese burger and there was so much delicious cheese I couldn't see trying to re- cook it. But it was seriously cold and raw right after you cut it open. The quality of the food here ain't bad, it's actually pretty good, but I can't say the same for every dish and it's main dish are burgers and to be honest, the fact that they use supermarket buns (Pan Pepin Kaiser Rolls) doesn't make the burgers as homemade as it sounds. Yes, the meat is good and is homemade, but to add those buns that even I can purchase at a supermarket, just really lowers the value of the food you are getting. Their appetizers are pretty good and drinks are also well served with natural juices available as well, which is a plus. The service is pretty slow, specially when ordering a main dish, obviously appetizers come out pretty fast because most of them are fried. Lula's has great ingredients and good tasting burgers, but they really need to be authentic, including those buns. read more

The pulled pork burger was perfect along with the onion rings and my daughter polished off the sausage, bacon and cheese stuffed burger before I could get a bite. She said it was yummy. The 3 cheese burger was ordered by my other daughter. I got a bite and it was wonderful. So were her sweet potato fries. She also had a coconut mojito which was perfect. My son had the burger stuffed with sweet plantain and loved it. It was a great choice for our last night. And don't miss the desserts. We tried them all and all I can say is yummmmmmmm.
