Showed up for a appointment. Most of the men are too busy walking around flirting with woman who work here to actually do a job. 40 min into appointment and vehicle still didn't move. Girls up front were rude and unhelpful. Very unprofessional all the way around. Won't be back. I was there to get a recall fixed and to have another recall looked at since my car was throwing the code for that recall. I can not believe anyone would buy from this dealership!!! I have never ever bought from a dealership that your customers that buy there car from you pay you for all there maintenance even oil changes and when they have a problem with a repair you did you can not get in to have it checked out .. I can not rate the Sales Department cause I have never had dealings with them. But I would think twice before you take anything to the Service Department. My son is the owner of a 2021 Ford F150 King Ranch. The truck had a part break in the differential causing the truck not to pull, This was a RECALL issue. The Service Department had the truck for a month and a half with no idea when the parts would be received. Told they might have them after the first of the year. But they never mentioned that my son was able to get a loaner vehicle, which Ford reimburses them for. We learned that from Ford Corp Offices. Corp called the dealership which in turn called and stated he could come pick up a loaner the next day. My son is a plumber, his days are long. So, he took off work and went to the dealership, only to be told that they could not loan him a vehicle, cause he was not 25 yrs old. Mind you, this young man is 21 yrs old, he can purchase a 80K$ truck, pay the notes and insurance on it, but yet he can not be given a loaner because he was not 25 yo. I understand this rule in most cases. Mind you that the Corp office had notified the dealership to make it happen. A second call was made to the Corp office, the dealership was called again, to get this young man into the loaner, period! Our son took off work again and went up to the Service Department. When he went there, there was a power outage, which was not the fault of the dealership. But he did lose several hours of pay. Finally, the power is restored. Only for them to have an "issue with his CC". It was 15 mins to close. My son called and asked if I could help. I am a nurse, it's hard to leave the office during clinic hours. I asked if I could give a CC over the phone. I was told no, that I had to bring in an ID and a CC. So I left work, drove over there. I placed the card on the table and the man took the card and was never asked for my ID! There were several employees in the side office talking smack about what was going on. Very unprofessional behavior! Then the man completed the paperwork and proceeded to read their rules about use of the vehicle to my son like he was a child. He said if he has to put anything in the back of the truck that he needs to buy a bed liner for it. You forget the man is a plumber! I don't think so! He is not buying a bed liner for a loaner truck, the dealership's responsibility. The truck already had scratches and dents and already has "insurance claim on it" the young woman stated. We feel our son is being taken advantage of by this dealership. We have a strong feeling the issue is only going to get worse! I brought my 2024 F150 in to be serviced due to a message regarding a bad rear sensor that just popped up following an update. After dropping off the truck and getting a ride to work, I later get a call that they need my permission to remove the fuel tank and it would be $795 since the faulty wire is located under the fuel tank. They stated that this would not be covered under the active bumper to bumper warranty due to signs of mice (feetprints). They said it was "probably" due to mice but they could not be sure. I said DO NOT remove the fuel tank. They said well you will owe $169 for the diagnostic test when you come to pick it up, since there is damage cause by mice. I said I will not be paying that since you are not sure that the wire is even damaged by mice, it only says that the wire connection is faulty and the diagnostic test is covered by warranty. They stated they needed to be compensated for their time. After much arguing and stating to send the bill to Ford since the warranty is active they finally said just pick up the truck at 5, you will not receive a bill. Great. However, when I turned the truck on in the parking lot, I got about 5 more error messages and the front camera is no longer working. I also discovered after leaving that the cruise control is not working. I brought the vehicle to my dad's house and he looked it over and did not find any evidence of mice or damaged wires! He says that this is all computer issues and should be an easy fix by the dealership with their electronic programs!DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!!!! read more

I sent my car in to get it serviced as one does when their check engine light comes on. They told me they can fix it but that it'd be $xxx.xx. However, upon buying my car it was said to have two recalls and i thought recalls can be fixed free of charge? So i told the woman i spoke to on the phone that it was a recall and she said it wasn't, but when i called about getting it fixed elsewhere (another ford dealership in houston) they told me they could fix it free of charge because IT IS a recall. Anyways, I said okay and they "fixed" it. I pick it back up and not even 30 mins after i drove it off the lot, the check engine light is back on. So it seems to me that they slapped a band aid on it and called it a day. read more

There is a reason they only have 2 1/2 stars on Yelp. I made a 7:30 AM appointment to have a few things looked at on my Lincoln. I arrived about 10 minutes early and the doors were locked. I was hoping to at least wait inside and grab some coffee, but they literally do not open the door until 730-even though they saw all of us waiting outside. The drop off was fine. But it seemed like she didn't have my reservation because she asked me how to spell my name. My husband called around lunchtime and they said they just had to finish the multipoint inspection. Then he called again around three and they said they had not even looked at it. At that point, since we were given different stories, we decided to just go pick it up. The lady at the counter said she was the manager, and when we complained, she apologized and said they were shortstaffed. So I said if you knew how many cars were coming in and that you were shortstaffed, I could've come in on a different day. She said the Manager was not available, and seemed like she just didn't care. If she was nicer, I probably would've left my vehicle there because they are the only place in town that Service Lincoln. Also, I will be in the market for a new vehicle within the year and I will not be coming to Lufkin Ford. They have lost a customer. If I were you, I would not go for Service here. It's worth a drive to go to Nacogdoches and be treated like they care about your business. read more

I wish that I could give these inept, unqualified, incompetent and unprofessional fools only a ¼ star for this review. This is the first review I have ever written but it probably won't be the last, because I am sick and tired of spending good money for shoddy service. AL MEYER FORD IN LUFKIN, TEXAS is hands-down the absolute WORST service shop I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with in my 48 years on earth. I work in heavy industrial construction, mostly building power plants, and therefore sometimes I am out of town for several months at a time. Now, I am the once-proud owner of a 1997 Ford F-250HD 4-door pickup truck with the International 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engine with only 143,000 miles on it. It sat for a couple of months while I was out of town, and when I got back, I couldn't get it to start. I then made the horrible decision to have it towed to Al Meyer Ford to have it looked at. I figured the fuel was crappy in it, so I told them I wanted the fuel system flushed and a full service done on the truck. No big deal, as I had had the truck in and out of their shop several times for routine service, all documented. I had to leave town again, so I told them I would pick it up when I got back, as I was in no hurry. Keep in mind, this truck was in perfect shape; 148k miles and all original with no modifications whatsoever other than a straight-pipe exhaust. I would drop in by the shop every two weeks or so when I was in town to check on progress. They kept telling me that they couldn't figure out what was wrong; that they couldn't get it started either, and that they were still troubleshooting the problem. They had my truck for more than 5 months, and, $5,000.00 later it still doesn't run like it did before taking it there. Oh yeah. Truth. They told me over the phone, when somewhere was there to actually answer the phone, that I needed a new fuel pump, new fuel lines, a new fuel filter, two new fuel tanks with new sending units, a new solenoid and two new batteries. When I got the truck back, the turbo waste gate is messed up, parts are missing; like the fuel filter cover, the air filter plenum, several screws and bolts, etc... Now I have some sort of parasitic drain on the electrical system as well that completely drains the batteries ever couple of days. They tried to do a brake job on it and stripped the bleeder valves in the process. SO instead of fixing the problem, they told me that the truck didn't need new brakes to begin with. Al Meyer does NOT have a qualified diesel mechanic. PERIOD. Even the mechanic that butchered my truck told me in his own words that he had NEVER worked on a Powerstroke before and that since the truck had been built before he was born, he didn't have a clue what he was doing. One of the times I went in to check on the truck, they had an apprentice beating on the engine with a 4lbs hammer for some reason. When I asked where the mechanic was, I was told by the apprentice that the "mechanic" was hardly ever there because he and his wife were either expecting a new baby or had just had one. I can't remember. The service manager lady doesn't know anything at all about cars or trucks or diesel engines or anything else that I know of, for that matter. She basically just answers the phone sometimes and gives you a story. I wish I had taken them to court or sued them or something. I'm just disgusted. What I really wish is that on that fateful day I had sent the truck to Nacogdoches instead of Al Meyer Ford in Lufkin. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take your diesel truck to them. They do not have a clue what they are doing and when you get your truck back, it will not run, and they will loose parts to boot. Oh... and charge you top dollar parts and labor rates in the process. The manager was great as well as my sales man, BUT I did get screwed on my trade in. I was promised one amount for my trade, I provided the manager with the VIN to my trade so I was very pleased with what he said he would give me. However after I signed the paperwork for my new car and went to hand them the keys to my trade.... I was informed at that time they messed up and would not be able to use my trade because they put in the wrong numbers. I was told they didn't need my trade anyway. Came in for an oil change on our f350 diesel truck on our road trip from Montana. After it was done my husband felt the truck running poorly and went back to see what was wrong. He was told nothing was wrong. So today after hooking our trailer, she would only go about 5 mph. Turns out they drained the six quarts out of the transmission instead of the oil and overfilled the oil. Can not get them to document how they screwed up the service. I went to Al Meyer Ford, Lufkin, yesterday with full intentions of purchasing a new Expedition. I was met by a very well intentioned, but very inexperienced sales person. After requesting 4 times to speak to the sales manager, Misty, with no luck. I was actually told by this sales person that Misty requested I call back in about 10 days! I was never so insulted in my life!! Not only was I not worth Misty's time, I wasn't even given the opportunity to fill out an application. It's unfortunate that the customer service at ford dealerships has resulted in the loss of another customer because I sure do love my escape but I am not willing to endure any mistreatment to keep it. About 8 years ago Ford lost my dads business due to poor customer service at a dealership in Michigan but I had my heart set on an escape so we decided to give Al Meyer Ford a chance and here we are ready to trade it in.Making a long story short...First time on the lot salesman Mike Grainger gave me a huge spiel about the great deals and incentives I would qualify for the following day considering it was almost closing time. Not even close.... Grainger apologized in frustration, for he was heavily "mis-informed". My family and I became so frustrated with the situation we left the dealership, a few moments later we received a call from a supervisor who said we would get what we were told. After further arrangement we finally signed. Shortly after rolling off the lot I spotted greasy fingerprints in several places on my light beige headliner. Mind you this is not a pre-owned vehicle; however it was subject to hail damage. I took the vehicle in total at least 8 times to have this headliner issue resolved. They tried to clean it several times. They ordered a replacement liner and when they replaced it they had stripped out the plastic clip in pieces around the liner. They then needed to be replaced. Again it wasn't clean so they had to order another replacement. There are still spots but after all the trouble I went through it wasn't worth trying to have it fixed. Almost all associates I have spoken with have been extremely rude and seemed to rather not be bothered with the issue. I must say Paul Wood was sympathetic at first, he soon become short, rude and neglectful. The service manager, Rick Young was very rude and tried his best to be demeaning from the start. They tried to make me feel like an unsatisfiable customer, I was asking something very simple, that I shouldn't have had to ask for in the first place. Today I returned for an oil change and to have my display screen checked out because it has developed scratch like marks on the inside of the screen. I got there just before 10. Around 11, Amber Lewis, the service coordinator came out and asked me if I would like a ride somewhere because she wasn't sure if my vehicle would be taken in before the technicians go to lunch. Shocked I told her I would wait there. At around noon my vehicle hadn't moved and the technicians hadn't gone to lunch yet. I went into the service office, Amber told me I was waiting for an electrical technician. I left. The next morning I got there at about 7. When Amber got there at 730 I went inside and began recording on my phone. I told her I was confused why I waited there 2 hours the previous day and didn't even leave with an oil change. She told me usually they give a ticket with multiple concerns to one person who can clear the whole ticket and I understand that but I feel like she could have alteast spared my inconvenience by getting the oil change taken care of since there was such a long wait for electrical. So I became a little agitated with her explanation. So I said let's get this show on the road so I can get the hell out of here before I cause a scene. Then a woman who was standing beside me says, I'll be right back Amber and walked out of the service office. After about 30 minutes of waiting I saw Rick, nicely speaking and joking with the lady that was behind me in line inside the service office, now a short distance away with her husband then he comes over to me without even saying hello, he keeps telling me the scratch like marks on the screen are on the outside and I keep saying ok then finally he says I'll probably know something Monday or Tuesday we will take some pictures and send them into ford for authorization and then walks off without even saying goodbye. After about 10 more minutes Amber comes out with a clipboard and very rudely asks me to sign then says keys are in it, walks off. I had to ask my dad to call Rick because it is now Friday and I haven't heard a word from Al Meyer Ford. Rick told my dad they will not be replacing the screen because the scratches are on the outside and that Ashley is banned from the dealership because she was yelling and cussing which disturbed another customer. That other customer being the lady who has a personal relationship with both Amber Lewis and Rick Young. Mind you a have a recording of the whole thing. Hell is not a cuss word and I barely raised my voice. When I called Ford customer service Wendy Eisenheuer told me the owner has approved that I am not welcome back at the Lufkin dealership, to select another dealership. It's really sad that Rick and Amber can get away with such a bad attitude and lack of proper coordination by just their word and some lady they are buddy buddy with to complain. Bought a sports car from here a year ago, specifically asked if the cars engine had any performance mods to the engine and was told the car was stock. Drove 3 hours from Dallas to Lufkin bought the car, got home and a few months later I go to get my state inspection done and it turns out the car was missing a cat and had a performance tune that wouldn't allow it to pass inspection. I contacted the dealer showed them the emails from them describing the car was stock and unmoded, I agreed to drive back to have it fixed only to get home and find out all they did was puta cat on the car. I ended up having to pay $1300 in repairs to get it to pass inspection. I've got a story for you. My AC stopped working in my car last week, and since the little taxi cab is paid off I don't mind when we have to put a little money in it to keep it going. We took it to a mechanic who advised that we take it to a dealer because the compressor was on its way out. Y'all. The. Nicest. People. Genuinely. So helpful and friendly, I cannot say enough nice things. They called me the next day and told me everything was working and it would be $911.00, so I paid them and they pulled my car around. I got in to find out that the AC still wasn't working. They are all "oh no!! Let us keep it one more night. No worries. We are so sorry" Then on Friday I got a call. They can fix it!! For another $1,500. Huh? What happened? Well apparently there is another part of the AC, and it has spontaneously failed in the 3 hours between them calling me to tell me it was fixed, and my picking it up. At this point I'm just out a grand, and sweating to death in the Texas heat. We talk to the service manager, who basically told us "too bad". Then we call every mechanic we know. Who all told us the same thing. That part doesn't spontaneously break. Pretty much ever. They knew it was broken, and replaced the compressor anyway. Idk guys. Maybe they are hard up for cash these days? So anyway. If you see me sweaty and rocking an extra messy bun, please don't ask me how my day is going. It's not great. read more
