This is one of the most amazing "licka sto's" I've ever been in. It's really impressive from the layout, mini bar, selections, etc. The price points are also decent. I came the night before thanksgiving & there was a busy flow of people in & out, but the store was still easy to move about, the lines were quick, & the workers were really dope & knowledgeable. 10/10 reccomend---even as something random to do lol. This particular iteration of the local chain is my go to hooch headquarters! They recently expanded through the adjoining shop with which they once shared the building. So in addition to reorganizing the store a little, they also expanded their offerings. I could spend a good long time in this place just "window shopping." Where else around here can you find an entire aisle dedicated to vodka alone?! They also stock a few different brands of ouzo, which is a must have for a middle aged fat Greek such as myself. Of course, mixers, snack foods, sodas, premixed cocktails abound too. They've gotten into a limited amount of charcuterie as well. Then add a good sized walk-in humidor room and there ya go. Party time for all you gentleman types. They do carry bar wares and other such stuff if you really need it. You know: glasses, corkscrews, small plates and the like. Beyond all these things, as well as an awesome inventory of wines, they have two huge coolers dedicated to beers and "malt beverages." One of these coolers is actually something of a "beer cave" on steroids. It houses the more popular American and foreign brands by the case and half case. Finally I have to give a shout out to one particular clerk there...Therese! She's probably one of the most awesome and friendly clerks in that place since I first moved here in 2015. She knows a lot of folks by sight and many by name. I know a few of 'em in there, but T stands out; she works hard too. Beyond that, this operation is kind of a cross between Total Wine and a neighborhood liquor store. I'm totally happy with their way of doing business. They carry whiskey that you can't find anywhere else. My dad has been on a whiskey kick lately, which means I'm getting schooled on my whiskey. Even though there is a Luekens in Oldsmar, which is infinitely closer, this is the only Luekens in the area that has the whiskey he is looking for. He was having difficulty finding Yamazaki whiskey anywhere in Tampa Bay. He checked online at other liquor stores and this was the only one that had it. Not only did they have the type he was looking for, but they had 13 in stock! One of the bottles of Yamazaki was over $3,000. I'm trying to dissuade him from getting it because that's my inheritance, but the point is it is there when he can't find it anywhere else. The one he bought was still about $160, but that's way less than $3,000. The store itself was very clean and orderly. They even have a neat little bar area where you can get beer, wine, a whiskey flight, and boars head cheese. The boars head cheese is a little random, I wish it was a locally sourced cheese or at least something more unique, but hey at least you can have some cheese with your wine. Overall this seems like a great place to get liquor. read more

What a great store! Aisles of wine, and a wonderful selection of them. The port and dessert wine section is especially interesting. There are many helpful employees around to help you find just the thing you're looking for. They also carry a great selection of cordials, spirits and craft beer. I really like the wine tasting/beer tasting/cheese tasting area in the back, where you can purchase a flight or glass. It's clean, well-organized and a fun place to visit. 10/10 will visit again. read more

This store is always clean and organization is on point. Anytime I'm having a hard time finding a product I can always count on calling here and finding what I am looking for. I love the special events that they have been having. The events are usually inexpensive, around $20 and vary from wine & beer flights to unlimited sampling's of multiple wines, beers and liquors. They offer a delivery service which is always pretty busy. They do scan and verify your ID so the delivery driver is able to verify that the person purchasing the alcohol is 21. This is a super convenient service if you're hosting a party and unable to run for more alcohol or mixers. The staff are always polite and knowledgeable about the items they stock. My first order of 12 bottles of champaign was short 3 bottles. After waiting for over a month, several unanswered emails to online customer service and only after calling retail customer service, did I get a replacement shipment which was one bottle short. I again emailed online customer service and received no response. I then contacted retail customer service to ask for help and advised that, at this point, I would just like a refund for the missing bottle of Korbel Natural ($17.99). This is a nice sized liquor store that has everything to get the party started. Luekens has almost everything. They've got a vast wine selection an impressive refrigerated craft beer selection, so complete I've been indecisive more than once. They've also got a walk-in beer cooler that has cases of domestics, they've also got a craft beer aisle that has a lot of hard to find craft beers as well. They've got a mixer aisle with about anything you'd need to mix to make the perfect cocktail. Luekens has a lot of alcohol choices ranging from rot-gut to high end. They also have an aisle with pint sizes too. There's a humidor with various types of cigars. My favorite is the tasting area where you stop and get a beer or glass of wine, a charcuterie board, they've even got charcuterie boards you can assemble yourself for $20. The tasting area also has wine, beer, and whiskey flights. You can also get a growler filled don't worry if you don't have a growler they have some for sale too. Luekens is probably my favorite liquor store in the area. The staff is super friendly and everyone who works there is an expert in some type of alcohol. They've got a wine expert and a craft beer expert so if you've got questions they're there to help. The place is clean and very well organized the hardest part is making a choice. Had ordered wine from Lukens Liquor Dunedin for a gift and it's now Christmas Eve and was still not received. I called Likens and spoke with Jennifer four days ago and she indicated Chris Harrington would reach out to me and it's now Christmas Eve and no response from Chris and thecwine i purchased from Lukens still not delivered. Jennifer was suppose to get back to me and never heard from either. To say the least I'm very disappointed with the service I received from Luken's and will never use them again. Beware of there delivery service and there customer service which is uacceptable. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and that's how busineses eventually go out of business. read more

Someone is not doing their job! We ordered delivery of spirits as Dunedin, Seminole and Clearwater stores have a stocking shortage of Absolute Ruby Red. The order was confirmed and was to be delivered Friday, 3/1. It never showed and despite 3 response emails to the confirmation and 3 phone calls that went to voicemail every time, not one word from Leukens. The shipping and customer service numbers are 1 in the same, both unresponsive. Not happy! read more

This location of Luekens Liquors Is part of the local Tampa chain. Inventories can sometimes differ Though the names are the same. This one is much smaller than The one up there in Tarpon. But it's really no big deal. Not important enough for me to harp on. If you're a craft beer fan, like me, You should follow them on Facebook. I ordered 3 separate bottles of liquor online for in store pickup which I did 3 days before my birthday for which I needed the bottles, they fail to mention online that it takes 3-5 days to process for in store pick up which is absolutely ridiculous to me. I tried to call the shipping department twice and nobody answers the phone so I've left a message like it says to and no body has gotten back to me. When I went into the location the guy who attempted to help me check for the order was extremely rude and not helpful. I asked for my refund and he says "we have nothing to do with online ordering so however you put in an order is how you have to cancel it" which would have been okay but on their website I didn't create an account and I checked out as a guest. Apparently you can only get a refund if you have an account. I will not be going back to spend any of my money there. read more

Has a larger assortment of wine and hard alcohol than the NH liquor stores on the side of the highway. If you have not been to NH that is a lot of booze. The prices are always reasonable and they often have sales on not so popular items. Their is a good section of both domestic and craft beers along with imports such as German and Belgian. read more

As many have said before, the strip mall is not the prettiest, the clientele not the upper crust of society, but the selection of wine, beer, spirits, and cigars are outstanding! So is the service too. My Bride recently found out that she has family members in Italy that own a winery. Lueken's is the only place we can find the Red wine, so a star just for that! We asked Tim if they could get the white wine too that was not in the store. He called the distributor and said it would be in next week. The next week Tim called us to say they had received the white wine. Great customer service! I enjoy a fine cigar. If I'm waiting for my shipment of cigars to come in and in need of a good stick, this is my go to place. Wide selection of fine cigars from all the best cigar makers. I will admit that the prices are a little steep on some brands, but it's a solid store when in need. read more

They instead shipped a non-reserve 2016 which retails for $18 at my local grocery store, but they charged me the $42 per bottle. Called to get it fixed. Was told I needed to talk to "Chris". Wow, this place is a maze of fabulous beer, wine and endless selections of liquor and specialty liceurs. I literally got lost in here trying to locate the vodka aisle, even with the large sign indicating that vodka is in aisle 1. Oops. Not only do they have a great selection, but the prices are very reasonable and there were a ton of items on sale. They also have multiple sampling options offered on the weekend if you're looking to try something new before you buy it. The staff are all friendly and happy to help you look for an item. I ordered 1 bottle of Santa Teresa rum and 2 of Sheridans irish coffee, which almost no one carries outside duty free stores, from Florida to California. They arrived after a week but one of the Sheridan bottles leaked. I sent them a few emails with photos and they send another one back as replacement. No complains! Recommended. read more

I just walked out of the Tarpon Springs store and will never go back. Important please read!! My 1 year old son and I were at the register and as I was about to pay my son was playing with a candy self price tag right in front of the register. He didn't touch or pickup any items, just the price tag and the store manager Larry has the audacity to come up to me and tell me I needed to keep my son away from the price tags and watch him better, insinuating I wasn't watching my son who was leaning right against my legs in front of me. I made a joke to try and lighten the situation and said oh, you must not have kids, huh? He replied saying he did and that he actually kept an eye on them while in stores and made sure they didn't touch anything. I have never in my life been approached and so seriously insulted my a store employee, let alone a MANAGER. I could understand approaching me if my son were touching any alcohol, but to insult a customer multiple times for a price sticker? Also, keep in mind we went straight to the checkout counter upon walking in as I didn't want my son around the alcohol and were there a total of a minute and a half before being insulted and patronized. On top of that, no one would give me the info or name as to the store owner or corporate contact information to file a complaint so I went back in to tell this manager how it was not ok to treat me the way he did and again requested the corporate contact information. I also told him how I've been a long-term customer and he replied by telling me he was the manager and there all the time and had never seen me before as if I were lying. Funny, because Luekens is the only carrier of 7venth Sun beer that I've been buying for 3 years. I'm not an alcoholic so I don't go in all of the time where I would be regularly noticeable. Also, we're in a pandemic and you're going to continue to patronize me for being responsible and not going out in public as often? Just because I'm not in every day doesn't mean I shouldn't be treated with respect and decency. He then responded by saying he had the power to refuse service to anyone and make them leave and kicked me out of the store. We followed his request and left and stood outside for a bit as I was upset and crying due to being treated so awfully and didn't want to attempt to drive with my son until I was no longer crying. Larry the manager then comes outside and intimidatingly interjects as someone outside was trying to console me and make sure I was ok. Then the cops show up and I find out this manager filed a trespassing charge against me because I didn't get completely off the property (meaning out of the parking lot) when he asked us to leave. I am a good citizen and take pride in being one and have never had to cops called on me for anything! I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and I really hope they take this seriously because they have someone responsible for running their store with a serious superiority complex problem and is taking it out on customers, which I now have to legally pay for. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Beaureau and posting this review in as many places possible so no one else ever has to be subjected to this kind of treatment. This is just so wrong that I still can't even wrap my head around it all. I wasn't yelling or rude or anything--I simply stood up to being insulted and treated unfairly and this guy didn't like that it came from the young woman he targeted. Luekens, please check your security footage and it will confirm all of this. They have my favorite beer and I've done a lot of business with them over the years but they have now lost a long-term customer and need to choose their management personnel more carefully and make this right.
