bottles of wine on a shelf

Beer World of Largo has pluses and minuses Pluses include the vast selection of beer and wines. They have beer from all over the world. Czech, Polish,Chinese, Mexican, Canadian, US, etc. check out the pictures. you can find any beer or hard cider or related types. Also close to major roads and easy to get too. Minuses include the store is packed so only one thru an aisle at a time. Lots of boxes in aisles and at front if store. I've been here three times and always packed. Another minus is the pricing. Beer usually a couple dollars per six pack higher than Publix or other stores. Copolla wine was 19.99 vs 12.99 at Costco and 14.99 at Publix. Recently saw Polish beer that went from 12 per six pack to 2.79 ea. Red stripe here was18.89 vs 14.99at Publix So expect to pay a lot fir the beer or wine. Biggest negative is the smell. It stinks like cheap perfume masking a Cheech and Chong bathroom!!! Bottom line is if you want a rare beer get it here but expect to pay a lot. Also hold your breath. If you can get your beer at Publix go there.

Beer World is a textbook example of not judging a book by its cover. Behind the somewhat ghetto exterior of a converted Circle K convenience store lies a mecca of beer goodness. Ignore the exterior windows filled with neon signs for the big commercial brewers like Budweiser, Miller, and Coors. You aren't at your local 7/11. Instead make it to the back two rows of the store plus along the refrigerator wall and savor a world of Belgian, German, British, Polish, and domestic craft beers. All the big names can be found here and every square inch of the place is loaded with boxes and racks of beer. A small selection of what they have to offer includes the following domestic micros: Bell's, Brooklyn, Cigar City, Coney Island, Dunedin, Dogfish, Harpoon, Magic Hat, Ommegang, Rogue, and Terrapin. And outstanding Belgians like: Affligem, Chimay, Delirium, Duvel, Gulden Draak, St. Bernardus, and Saxo. Most selections are available in room temperature 4, 6, and 12 packs. But you can also mix and match among the refrigerated back wall and there are coolers of some of the more popular champagne style 750ml bottle conditioned beers too. The prices are probably slightly above average. It's definitely not as cheap as Total Wine, but with that being said - it's a local business and I don't mind spending a dollar or two more to support a small mom and pop place. The only other thing to keep in mind is to check date on your bottles because they do tend to carry a lot of older stock. With a selection as wide and varied as Beer World's this can be expected since there probably isn't an audience for everything they carry. Overall, a pretty amazing store and worth a trip to poke around for 30 minutes and see what they happen to have in stock. So if you are in the Largo area, I would recommend that you stop in.

    Yep.

Good selection of beer, crazy variety. Could not believe some of the stuff that was on the shelves, but as Kim W mentioned....the prices could be better. Found 2 of the hard to find beers I purchased there at Lueken's for $2 less. Each. Dangit! (That adds up!) And, for sure check the expiration dates. I found stuff that was 1 and 2 years past the sell by date, so it stayed on the shelves. But you can certainly find some "Holy Grail" type beers here. Nice staff, they offer a 10% off discount if you buy 6 or more beers. It's worth a stop for the savvy shopper!

We may have purchased some beer...

I had no idea this place existed and I'm so glad we stumbled upon it. Our family lives over this way and highly suggested we come here since we were in the hunt for some amazing beer to purchase! Holy Beer World it is! I was SO amazed by the selection of beers that they had! It was jammed packed each aisle from floor to ceiling having amazing beers to choose from. My only recommendation would be to have it labeled/organized better since it is in such a small/cramped space. The service was outstanding! I'll definitely be visiting this place when I'm over this way!

They have a decent selection of beers but it's stacked in such a haphazard way it's hard to shop.

An awesome collection of beers, however you must check the best by dates. Found too many that were five years past their best by date.

There are about a dozen bar-seats that have backs, which is more relaxing to me. The rest of the room has table seating for around 30. There's two or three 2-seat high-top tables out front. And there's even some outdoor seating for around 20 in a little triangular patio on the side. The decor is casual, with racks of oak barrels in the front, and lots of cool artwork on the walls. There's brewing equipment in the back, and some of the seating is right next to it. And they had an apparently unscheduled improv comedian out on the patio on a friday night (Jan 2026). They were great! And the audience was a good group, too :-) Beverage-wise, and the selection of beers change constantly, so look on the board for the new ones and the ones that are almost gone. We had to get a fun Fra-gee-lay golden lager from the Almost-Gone list. It's a luscious medium-light-flavor beer named for the Major Award in Jean Shepherd's Christmas Story film. We chose a sour, Astral Reign, blueberry with blood orange and some flavor or marshmallow. It was a great taste, plenty of sour balanced with grain, and sweetness smoothed out by light marshmallow. We loved that, so we also got an enormous can of that sour! And someone in our group got a decent red cabernet ... in a brewpub ... sheesh. Well, it tasted better than the house cab at many places! It was busy this Friday evening, with enough seating that we walked right in. This place is easy to get to, in the northeast corner of a strip mall on E. Bay at Starkey, and there's plenty of parking. There's a fridge next to the bar with beers to go. We love these beers! We love this brewpup-alehouse!

We even bought some to go too! The place is a casual place, they don't offer food however there is a pizza food truck in the back called "Rocky's". I had their margarita pizza and it was one of the best! There's a bar that you can sit at, high tops, or low tables. The team members gave us a taste of the beers so we could decide. The watermelon beer was really tasty. I think trying it as a flight is good since it's so sweet. The Nuclear beer with blackberry I think it was, is delicious! We also tried a habanero beer that had a nice after spice to it. I took home a carrot cake beer, watermelon beer, almond cookie beer, a green slushie beer that I will be trying soon and can't wait! We all most definitely said we will be back when in town again! If you haven't tried the place, why don't you give it a taste! Cheers!

3 Daughters Brewing is a massive and lively spot, even if the beer itself isn't really my thing…read more That said, they do offer a huge selection of drinks beyond beer, and the RTDs are typically my go to when I'm here. You'll find beers, ciders, vodka based seltzers, wine, and frozen drinks. There is no liquor for on site consumption, but they did recently release their own whiskey, which is actually pretty decent for the low price point. The venue is enormous, with a large warehouse style space that hosts live music. The acts are usually solid, and when there's a headliner, the place gets absolutely packed. The table games scattered around are a nice touch, and during the holidays the owners put up a custom miniature train display that's a big hit with kids. That said, there are some downsides. When the hops are really going, the smell can be rough, and during peak summer months it gets hot and humid as all hell, even with all the fans running. The food is also pretty underwhelming. Most items come with a side of chips. The burger is fine and probably the best thing on the menu, but don't bother with the tacos. They're very basic and the meat is usually overdone. Another major issue is the bathroom situation. The lines are painfully long almost all the time. For a place this big, the bathroom setup feels incredibly inefficient. The women's line is almost always backed up, and even the men's line gets long during busy hours. I also miss some of the old perks. Bartenders used to hand out drink tokens for buy backs, and there was a $10 charity donation wheel spin where you could win free stuff. Those days are long gone, which is a bummer since it added a little fun gambling element with your drinks. Despite some of the drawbacks, this is still one of my favorite places to visit. The bartenders are cool, the crowd is generally chill, and the overall vibe is relaxed. Parking can fill up quickly, but there's a large grassy area in the back that usually saves the day. Overall, it's a solid hangout spot for live music and variety. I just wished they'd improve the quality of food, and at least fix the bathroom situation. Don't mind the food photos, I got hangry!

I also got a nice pint glass from their merch. I found myself wishing that they had more canned and bottled beers to take with me, since there were a couple beers I really liked in my flight that I had no way to take home (since they told us they don't do growlers/crowlers). I was a little disappointed in the service here. The bartender barely acknowledged us, and then when two regulars walked in they had their full attention. I still like their beer, but I don't see another good reason to visit this place in person again. Their location is really nice, and I'm sure that it's nice to watch the sunset from while sipping a beer, so that's probably the only reason I'd go back.
