Baby Guinness shot!
Kelly S.

5 starts for the best baby Guinness shots around They sure know how to celebrate St. Pattys day here!!

Great Irish bar, good food, friendly service, small dining space! The menu has lots of Irish-inspired options and Smithwick's and Guinness is on tap. Fish and chips were tasty, and you can't go wrong with a Reuben or a Rachel! Dunedin is a busy place on the weekends and the bar was packed- tables are in the bar area and other patrons were not mindful of the people there to dine for an early Saturday dinner. If you are there to have a meal and chat, you might be hard pressed. However, if you're there for a nice pint and pub grub with friends or hanging with fellow fans after a baseball game, this is the perfect spot!

Pretzel Dippers

Delicious pretzel sticks. Cute basic little Irish bar. It's exactly what you would expect in a good way.

My beer and shot of Jamison. Forgot to take pic of the Rachel sandwich as I inhaled it when it arrived.

This is going to become my new hang out. The beer is amazing (hard to find Smithwicks at bars) and like a true Irish pub, you may think the food here is mediocre but "newsflash" !! I had the pretzel bites and the Rachel with the cole slaw and that shit was delicious. The bites were soft and hot / fresh and their beer cheese was amazing. With beer it's orgasmic. The Rachel is a personal choice. I like Rueben's with Turkey. (Don't judge me!) finally, the staff is super cool and one of them is half Norwegian / Swedish who is just a delight to talk to.

Unbelievable ambiance. I'm a huge Irish pub guy and this place didn't let down. Salmon BLT was insane!!! will be back!

My friend came to town, he grew up in the area, and hadn't been "home" in some 20 years, so he asked if I'd like to go grab a pint. We both grew up in the Ren Faire, so an Irish pub was the best idea we'd had all day. We got princess parking and even got good seats in a really crowded bar, we'd visited the night of the parade. The band came up, and it turned out to be folks I knew! They played songs that I loved and music that resonated with both of us. The beer was cool, the tunes were hot. It was crowded but what can you do?

Fish And Chips Dinner

Good food was on the menu today. Starting with the fish spread served with toasted rye bread was a great combination. For lunch, we had the fish n chips and corned beef sandwich with homemade house chips. All were excellent but I could eat my weight in those house chips. Service was excellent. Only change I would make is a lighter type menu. The place is on the darker side with the lighting which made it hard to read the menu. Other than that, the decor was great.

Dancing encouraged!

When friends and I venture out in Dunedin, Flanagan is a mandatory stop. The staff has always been top notch, friendly, and fun. Saturdays boast a familiar face of pure entertainment by Cage. He puts on a hilarious show that includes Irish songs with a comedic twist. He is the funniest guy and is sure to make your night spectacular. I love the vibe at Flanagan's!

My wife and I can here only for drinks and sat at the bar and it was a nice atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and prompt. Most importantly for me, the beers poured nice and cold!!!

Sorry, I could not wait to the picture

In my experience there is a common feeling that an Irish Pub never goes wrong. Flanagan's in Dunedin is no exception to the rule. Not only you get the best served Guinness but their food is always tasty, delicious, and well served! The waiters and bartenders are always in good mood and at the moment they talk to you, they have undivided attention to you, even when the pub is to its max. Despite being in downtown Dunedin, Flanagan's keeps being a place where we, locals, go to escape from routine. This is a place where strangers are new friends yet to be known.

Inside a quiet Sunday!

The staff was consistently friendly, the atmosphere was great, and people were having fun. It felt like a place locals enjoy spending time, and we could see why. With several visits during the same trip, we got to try a few things, and the vibe, food, and drinks kept giving us a reason to come back. What stood out most was the attention to service. The manager stopped by on every visit to ask how we were doing. That kind of consistent, personal attention is something a lot of places miss, and we appreciated it. It wasn't just one good meal or one friendly interaction. They made us feel welcome every time. Clear Sky became a regular stop during our stay, and we'd gladly return the next time we're in Dunedin.
