The food came super fast. We were all happy with the taste of the Käsespätzle, the Gulasch, and the burger. The ambiance is ok but that's not why you're eating here right? You're on your way to the castles as quickly as you can.

Nice place in the town below Neuschwanstein castle. Perfect to grab some food and drink prior to making the walk or ride up to the castle. The restaurant has limited outdoor seating and has a diner feeling on the inside. Service is very slow, so make sure you factor that in to your tour time if you're eating before. Fare is typical German, with local German beers available. Exactly what you would want.

Perfect stop after the long, cold snowy trek up to Neuschwanstein Castle and back. We wanted something small since it was 3:30. We opted to split a bowl of potato stew and an apple strudel. WOW!! The stew was buttery and wonderfully seasoned with sausages expertly crafted into works of art. But the apple strudel with vanilla cream sauce stole the show. Served warm and a perfect amount to share. Also had their mulled wine and while not the best I have had, it was near the top. The service was spot on- prompt, friendly and very helpful to two tourists. Please visit them and enjoy the ambience as well as scrumtious food!

Food was alright, atmosphere a bit hectic. Definitely a very touristy place, but not too bad. So just stop by if you are hungry. There aren't too many options in Hohenschwangau.

Looked interesting as we walked by so we stopped in. Best decision we made. Service was great, the waitress was very nice. Food was amazing. I've never had a better Sauerkraut. Sausage and pork knuckle was so good i could easily eat that everyday.

We were in the area and looking for somewhere that was open for lunch around noon and I'm so glad…read morewe found Schloss Brauhaus! We walked in and seated ourselves and were quickly welcomed by our server. The radler and lager were both really good. I got the Allgäuer Kässpätzle, which was incredible. It was super cheesy and flavorful. My bf got the Zwiebelrostbraten, which was also really good with the steak perfectly cooked. Then we got two desserts to spilt and I couldn't tell you which one was better. The Apfelstrudel was warm and not too sweet and the "Bier"amisu was unique and absolutely delicious. Schloss Brauhaus provided a warm and comfortable place to get out of the rainy cool day we had and some great beer and food!

I ended up leaving before having any food because they took so long to take my order, even after I politely requested for service to a few waiters. They informed me that my waitress would arrive to take my order soon, but this never occurred. There was a waitress who had provided the menu, who I thought would be the one to take my order, but she just stared at me strangely almost as if I didn't exist? I never write Yelp reviews, but this service was so abysmal and strange that I had to write it down. Was the worst part of my trip to Füssen.

Not their fault as we should have just sat outside, which we had a choice of. My mother loved her trout, she was raving about it for days and claimed it was one of the best trout dishes she has ever had. The skin was crispy and the fish was cooked to perfection. I had the duck which was also cooked with skill, the orange sauce was on the thin side but very tasty. Both dishes came with an amazing potato gratin and plentiful well cooked veggies. The price is very fair, and this place was one of our favorite restaurants we ate at during our 4 city Germany trip. The service is also top notch and the waitress was lovely.

He argued with me when I said that the "roast beef" on the menu was just a hard steak and I wanted a soft roast beef as it was mentioned on the menu. So when I said that he went off on me saying that "yes, it is a steak indeed but locally it is called a roast beef." My point is that the waiter should have explained that the "roast beef" on the menu is just a steak and not a roast beef when I was ordering. Instead I got yelled at... The whole fried fish was alright. The duck was also alright. Their beef broth soup with dumplings was amazing, the cheese dumplings are not cheese dumplings but meatballs with some cheese inside. I wasn't told it as well but I was pleasantly surprised. Their flat cheese pancakes were delicious too. We spent over 200 Euros for four people. I cannot say we enjoyed the experience... I do not recommend this place.
