Nice location in the center of Rome (depending of what to consider center of course). Walking distance to the Spanish Stairs at Piazza di Spagna, Via del Corso and Villa Borghese, but pretty far from Vatican Museum if that's your first place of interest. We chose this hotel because of the location and they offer triple rooms for families. From now I know, that next time if I'm looking for a triple room - I'll just choose a double room in the Intercontinental, Marriott, Westin etc. The beds there are pretty large and the standards should be on the level, not like in some dubious small hotel claiming itself as 4 stars. I guess they did all they could to get those 4 stars somehow. I would not rate that higher than 3.
Breakfast is served in two separate rooms which is not very convenient - that you have to go from one to another crossing the reception. And it's always packed. The choice of the buffet in one room is larger than in the other, so if you sit there - you don't have to migrate, but it's very noisy and crowded there, so we sat in another room and had to travel for food. Forget about smoked salmon of course. Not much of a fruit choice, but altogether better than in the road motel. And it's included in the rate - that's very nice of them.
There is an electrical kettle in the room if you want tea or Nescafe coffee. Mini bar.
The electrical sockets were hardly working. If you want to charge your phone or watch TV - you have to make sure that there is a contact, cause otherwise if you just plug in and go - nothing will work.
The shower was terrible. You couldn't switch it easily and the hose was leaking.
The room as well as bathroom were really tight and poky.
There is no fitness center or SPA of course.
Among advantages: free wifi and not bad connection. Not enough for viber or skype call, but still. And the personnel was really amiable, courteous and helpful, that was really pleasant. If you have some extra spare $ - choose Westin or other chain hotel famous all over the world. But if you don't care about the comfort in the room and not on romantic escape, but just to sleep and eat breakfast - that's one of the options. Rome has a lot to offer. read more
