I saw Dr. Ludin for a toothache for which she couldn't find the source. She did find a "small cavity" on the opposite side of my mouth. Went in to have it filled and as she was working on my tooth (lower molar), her drill jumped out of her hand and chipped off a piece of a separate tooth (top incisor). I immediately asked if it chipped my tooth and the Dr. said it was fine. The dental assistant thankfully spoke up and pointed out the jagged edge left behind and the Dr. then filed the chip to a smooth edge. I also have a cut on my lip from where it was being pinched during the procedure. I went into this appointment with a high level of anxiety and having damage done to my teeth only exacerbates my anxiety about going to a dentist in the future. I don't know if anyone leaves the dentist feeling happy, but I definitely left feeling hurt and upset. read more
