I had my teeth cleaned by Kathryn. She was gentle, kind and thorough. I have never experienced a better cleaning. Dr. Twiss didn't keep me waiting and took his time to completely review the X-ray findings and what his exam included. I felt no pressure to have additional work done. Well. Where do I start. When I started at twiss I was 16 just coming out of braces. I had a few cavities that I knew of so that's why I went in. I was told by the doctor I needed 17 FILLINGS. That sounded like way too much but I was 15 and didn't know better. To make things better, I removed the headphones for the tv, only to hear the dental hygienists hysterically laughing about how many fillings I needed and how gross it was. Great for the self confidence. I cried all the way home and was dreading the upcoming filling appointment. I went nonetheless, procedure was normal up until the numbing wore off about 3/4 of the way through. I was nearly screaming in agony pleading for them to add more numbing. "We're almost done!" Is what they told me. We were NOT almost done. It was quite painful, but nonetheless it was over. UNTIL every single filling (all 17) fell out within three years :,) after one of the most traumatizing medical experiences I have ever had, I refused to return to Twiss, and curse their name almost everyday. I decided to replace the fillings at Highlands Ranch smiles where I have had the most amazing experience with the most amazing group of women! If there's anything to take away from this review, just go to Highlands Ranch smiles if you want to keep your money and sanity. read more

After 4+ yrs., 3 dentists and 2 periodontists, we finally found an efficient, reasonable and caring dentist at Twiss Dental. Dr. Twiss as well as his staff are the BEST! The office is clean and modern. Dr. Twiss besides been professional and a great dentist, he has a good demeanor. He also does a great job with Lanap Laser gum treatment and reasonably priced. I have always struggled with dental anxiety and have had a handful of negative experiences at other dentists. This is by far the best dental office I've been to, they are all extremely kind and explain everything in detail. I recently had my wisdom teeth out at Twiss Dental and cavities filled after multiple years of being too afraid to visit a dentist. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. RUN AWAY DON'T LOOK BACK This happened before COVID-19 so no excuses there. Went to get dental implants for my lower teeth . I was going to have to get the bottom teeth removed. It was excruciating! Dr. did not get my mouth numbed and I almost flew off the chair in pain! Then they had to give me shots 4 or 5 more times not able to numb the right areas. When Dr was finally ready to remove teeth, he was yanking and pulling so hard that I felt my head jerking off my neck. After they were done Dr wanted to drill in the posts right then! I said no because I was already swollen and in pain. Because I am a grinder I asked for a mouth guard. The Dr quoted me $80. He 'fitted' the guard but could not seem to get it right. I decided to just take it and try to do myself at home. I had already paid for everything but the guard, then they rang up the night guard and said "That will be $835 (something around that)!!! I was shocked and said the Dr said $80 so I waited while they talked to the Dr. And OPPS.. they said he quoted me the wholesalers price! They knew I wasn't budging so $80 it was. I was sore for 4 or 5 weeks and when I looked in my mouth it looked like hamburger meat! It was so mangled! Oh and you know that mouth guard they said was an $800 piece of plastic? It was the wrong one! It should have been to cover my upper teeth only so I would not bite down on my bare gums below BUT they gave me a double guard that fit over the upper and lower teeth. I HAD NO LOWER TEETH. They just yanked them out!!!! read more

Leaving another review as they clearly delete the bad reviews and only share the good ones. I just fired them after 11 years, 4 veneers that fell off a combined 16 times and I have nightmares about my teeth falling off. fyi this is not normal, but Twiss just kept trying to dental shame me saying i must be grinding my teeth.... after the most recent veneer falling off yet again, and me paying $300 to teglue it and them telling me im the problem and telling me i need all new veneers (4 for $9000), i fired them. wtf would I spend another 9k for them to redo my teeth that they clearly fucked up in the first place. after doing a ton of research, I found a very prominent cosmetic dentist in Cherry Creek, and found out that Dr. Twiss drilled my teeth down so much that there isn't enough surface for the veneers to adhere to. which is why the kept falling off! only option is crowns which fit over the whole tooth since dr twiss destroyed my teeth and made me believe it was my fault my veneers kept falling off. asked for my records and saw that twiss had been charging me for multiple cleanings and xrays that were NOT done. Thinking about pressing charges for medical malpractice and insurance fraud. read more

Twiss Dental is out of my insurance network, but due to a recommendation from a coworker I decided to try them out. I had three cavities that were found on my first appointment so I elected to get them filled. I had been to another local dentist previously who botched filling a cavity so I was hesitant to go through the procedure again. I explained this to the dentist and he assured me it wouldn't be an issue at Twiss an would be there for the entire procedure. At the procedure the dentist drilled out the three cavities and then left to let the assistant fill them even though I asked him to do the fillings. I made this request because my bad experience previously was with an assistant filling the cavities. The assistant said they fill cavities all the time and I relented because the dentist was already busy with someone else. The fillings felt very odd at the time. Apparently my fears were well founded because the fillings were very sharp and not formed well because they didn't allow me to floss between the teeth adjacent to them. Just three months later one of the three fillings just fell out and the other two "don't look good at all" according to a new dentist I've started going to. I do NOT recommend this practice. read more

Despite the very large and beautiful offices, I did not have a good experience at this practice. The cleaning service was good, but when I met the dentist at the end of the visit, he told me I would need to have several silver fillings replaced. These fillings while very old, have not given me any problems or pain whatsoever. I have had a couple of dentists over the last 10 years suggest replacing them. Years later they have caused absolutely no problem. When I declined the filling, Dr. Twiss became short with me and asked if I was "one of those kind of people" who wait until I'm in terrible pain to have the procedure. I reiterated that I've had this filling replacement suggested on and off for almost 10 years. I did not feel it was necessary. He then got up and left the exam room. My recommendation is to avoid this dentist and that he may be trying to sell unnecessary services to maintain a very large and exorbitant practice. His demeanor with me I felt was not professional for a medical practitioner. read more

You know how when you go to get your oil changed on your car and they're always trying to tell you your car is going to blow up if you don't also do X, Y and Z? That's the basic MO here. EVERY time myself, my wife or my two kids went in for a cleaning, there was an up sell to fix something. Despite only having one cavity my whole life (I'm 39) I was told BOTH times I visited that I needed to have cavities filled. And the one time I agreed, he had to drill way deeper than expected (which of course I was charged more for) and hurt for days after. My son, who is 7 and about to lose all his baby teeth, was encouraged to have extensive work done, which was going to cost $2500. We went to Arapahoe Family Dentistry for a 2nd opinion and they decided he only needed one cavity filled for a grand total of $300. And be prepared, they will try to sell you hard on their "Value Plan" which supposedly covers 2 check ups per year and x-rays, however my youngest daughter was too young for x-rays, so we paid for X-rays she never got. So long story short- I would avoid them. They're great salesmen- not great dentists. read more

Had to have a filling replaced. I get really stressed out when I have to get numbing shots. Yes, I'm a complete whimp. I added the nitrous gas and Dr Twiss was great about letting me know what he was doing and when. I'm sure the gas helped me "not stress" as much but once the numbing topical was put on, I didn't feel a thing. He was done in about 25 minutes. read more

I don't recommend this place. it's the only place I've been where the dental work failed and had to be redone. One was a kid root canal, and the other was a cavity. How do you do a cavity wrong? Well the filling just falls out. Also, they gave my kids extra treatments, fluoride, after I told them not to, and are aggressive with their billing and unable to talk to you if they make a mistake. Ugh, where to start... They will constantly try to force you in to unnecessary, expensive treatments. Feels like going to an auto mechanic trying to scam you for as much money as possible. Anything to wrack up your bill. Oh, and about that bill. Don't be foolish enough to trust the numbers they tell you when at your appointment. If you're as unlucky as me, you'll receive a phone call from them a year after your visit saying you owe them $400 for a simple check up appointment. I feel totally scammed and ripped off. Thankfully I've found a new dentist and will let my teeth rot out before going back to Twiss Dental. I'd suggest you do the same. read more

They will work with you on insurance benefits and explain it in a way that is easy to understand. The office always runs on time so there is no waiting for your appointment. Renee, my dental hygienist, makes the experience as pain-free as possible. The dentists are very professional while being warm and friendly. I want express my appreciation. The day before Thanksgiving I woke up in horrible pain and knew I would need a root canal, but seriously had no hope that I would be able to get an appointment anywhere. I do not have a dentist in town. Twiss dental was recommended and I was able to get an appointment. I am still shocked and grateful. The staff was friendly. The service was excellent. Dr. Twiss was awesome. He listened to me and he was so gentle I didn't even feel the shot to get numbed. Root canals are not pleasant, but it wasn't that bad. I am so thankful that I will not be in pain tomorrow, and that I have found an excellent dentist for myself and my daughters. They have really good, modern equipment and they offer all services for your entire family. They used something called an "isolator" that I could rest my teeth on and it had suction - so I wasn't sitting there holding my mouth open by myself. What a great invention. read more

We went to another reputable dentist in the area and got the same problems fixed for under $2000. The whole thing felt like a sales pitch. Glad we didn't fall for it. He calmly reassured me that he could and would take care of my needs. He is well trained and qualified, kind, gentle and professional.
