My plain Jane smash burger was dry as a bone, smashed so thin it was non-existent in places (holes). The burgers they served us didn't look anything like the ones we saw in their advertising on tv. Really disappointed. I don't like stuffed burgers because they are cooked well done. We ordered 2 regular burgers with cheese medium rare. They came out beyond well done. Stopped by for a quick dinner here tonight & loved my burger! Spicy Lucy Burger: Thick juicy burger stuffed with pepper jack and jalapeños. Spicy and delicious! Perfect portion. Not greasy. Fries: I got to try regular fries (slightly too salty) and sweet potato fries. They were both fine. Not bad at all but not memorable. Atmosphere: Relaxed and pub-like. A bit loud. My mom and I saw the owner win Guys Grocery Games, so we had to come in to check it out! The service was so great and the online check-in for a wait was so convenient. We ordered the homemade chips as an app, and everybody in my party got a beer/cider from their amazing list. It was so hard to pick one burger; I went with the mac n cheese, my mom got the black and blue, and my dad did the plain jane. We all loved our burgers! So cheesy and fun. We were able to get a table quickly but waited a long time for drinks, order to be taken, and for our food. We have been before and it seems to be the same thing each time. Food has always been good so if you don't mind waiting a while, then give it a try. Not sure if they were short staffed each time or if this is just typical service. On our way up to New Glarus, Lucy's was the perfect spot for dinner.  For local beer and good stuffed burgers, I highly recommend dropping in.    Rather than wait 20 minutes for a table, we were fine with eating at the bar.  The bartenders were laid back, friendly and attentive.   I got a beer flight, because that's how I do.  I believe it was $10 for six samples?? They seemed larger than your typical flight glasses, but were skinnier and taller, so maybe it was more of an optical illusion.  It was all local beer/cider on tap. I absolutely LOVED the Ciderboys peach cider and the raspberry beer.  I saved those for last.   Our cheese curds were delicious.  One of our favorite of the weekend.  Slightly runnier ranch dressing than I prefer, but still very good.    My husband loved his stuffed salmon burger, fries and grasshopper shake.  Of course I had to take a sip.  Nice and thick and hard to suck through a straw.  Just how a shake should be.   As for my stuffed bacon cheeseburger, I was a little bummed that it wasn't as ooey-gooey with stuffed cheese as I saw in another Yelper's photo.  There really wasn't anything stuffed inside by the time I got it.  I think they overcooked it and the cheese melted right out.  Even so, it was delicious!!!!   I will for sure stop in again if I am up this way again. read more

Eat here almost every time we have a new hire at the company I work for.. their burgers, chicken wings, and fries are delicious and the staff is always welcoming. Highly recommend if you work near downtown and take new hires to lunch, this should be your go to! read more

It is important to start out by saying this was my third visit to Lucy's. Two visits have been great and in-person. My recent visit was my first takeout experience. I would definitely love to visit again to see if this takeout experience was just a fluke. The hubs and I ordered black bean burgers. He seemed pleased with his but mine has whole cloves of garlic in the burger--WHOLE CLOVES! There were at least 3. I don't know who thought that was a good idea. I love garlic, but that was way too much. The rest of the food was subpar, kinda cold and just not that great. It was my first time trying these cheese curds and I was really surprised that they weren't anything special. They were comparable to curds I could pick up at Culver's. Needless to say, I was disappointed with this visit. However, I would love to order takeout again in hopes of increasing my rating of this review. read more

Picked this place based on the high reviews and it delivered! Had really good variety of food and flavors were on point. I'm taking a star off bc the sweet potato fries cost extra and were in a strange extra breading that really made them weird. Everything else was really good. They have cool rotating draft and rotating seltzer at the bar- I got the rotating seltzer, a pineapple from Carbliss, very tasty with the Veggie burger on the menu. Hubby had the spicy Lucy and he enjoyed it. The kiddo had the Mac n cheese burger and really enjoyed it also. We were overall very pleased! Fun place, great bar set up and attentive staff. read more

Cheese curds were amazing! But I wish I could say the same about the French onion soup, it had celery and carrots in it and minimal onion, it was super weird and tasted to much like celery. I had the autumn harvest burger and my boyfriend had the Wisconsinite both were delicious! But we kind of noticed that it's not really the burger that is good it's what they put on it.. the burger itself is sorta flavorless. You do need to CUT YOUR BURGER. We got burned pretty badly from biting into our burgers and the piping hot cheese insides spewed out.. mine shot onto my hand and his onto his lip, face and hand. They should probably have a caution about this! For only having one waitress working on a steady Sunday night she did a FANTASTIC job. We will definitely be back! read more

You may think, like our friends who visited Lucy's #7 did, "This is a burger joint." You'd be right ... but not. It's so much more. These burgers, known as Juicy Lucy burgers in the Twin Cities a few hours northwest of this restaurant, are stuffed with a tasty array of cheeses and "toppings." Every person's burger was amazing -- I had the "Wisconsin" and had a bite or two of my son's that was stuffed with actual mac and cheese. Yum! Lucy's fried pickles were obviously homemade and the best we've ever eaten. And the local brews (including root beer) added something special. What really topped the meal off was the amazing service for our party of seven. I wish I could remember our server's name as she handled our special requests graciously and with great humor. We visited after a day of Christmas tree hunting and Lucy's #7 may become our new tradition for this annual outing. read more

Lots of drinks, beers, and wines to enjoy with your food. Absolutely love this cute burger bar in downtown Beloit. The atmosphere is very cozy, and lively with good music, and a little bit of entertainment. I ordered the Spicy Lucy with a side of loaded fries and loved it! All burgers are cooked medium well- which was perfect. Also tried their cheese curds which were super flavorful with just the right amount of crunch. Our server was just the sweetest lady and very attentive to our needs. it started with our wait time being almost 1/2 hour later after receiving text that it would be sooner than or initial time. We were excited to try it after being referred there awhile ago but sadly neither of the 2 burgers we got were great, very little flavor at all and one was the Spicy Lucy and the other the Aloha burger. Nice location in the middle of town. Seated right away. Nice small menu. I ordered a plain Jane with blue cheese. Burger was dry. Over done for me. It's not juicy. Kinda small. The bun was over grilled and fell apart. And the bun too big for the burger. Homemade chips were abundant and great. Service was good. I wouldn't make a special trip here. It was ok. Tried this place for the 3rd time now because a couple of friends of mine from out of town wanted to try it out and this time the experience was a little better. Our server this time around was great, we did have to wait awhile for a table to open up but we grabbed a drink at the bar and it was fine. The peach spritzer on their cocktail menu was pretty good. I tried the BOM which was a stuffed jalepeno popper burger and it was better than my previous burger here before, so I would say the burgers are a hit or miss. The cheese curds again we're great!
