Raw dough still and slimmy

I will give a low review feeling really disappointed! I just had fish and chips the other day from PT's and it was amazing. It was cooked to perfection so when my husband asked me what I wanted from where he was going today, I said I would like fish and chips then he handed it to me and I eat into it and it's raw inside the dough is gooey inside still.

Lucky's is a pretty standard neighborhood watering hole that I used to frequent somewhat regularly. The happy hour was great, the food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was fun and the staff was friendly. However, things have changed in the past few months. First, they got rid of their great happy hour. The food and drinks were no longer as reasonably priced, and the place was a ghost town. Second, the food has become just average. They took a lot off the menu, on my last visit the chicken fingers and fries I got were just straight out of a Costco freezer bag and it showed. I'm still giving Lucky's Lounge 2 stars because the atmosphere is still fun, and the staff is still friendly and I'm hoping they bring back the awesome happy hour they used to have.

So about my experience here...can someone call 1-800- UNDERWHELMING? Let's start with some positives: Exterior and interior all appear to be very clean well-maintained and up to today's standards. There's spacious dining areas and plenty of places to sit at the bar. There are definitely ample TVs so no matter where you're sitting you'll be able to catch a glimpse of what's on. They primarily play VGK games which is a huge plus! I went for a hockey game & dinner. The menu was disappointing. There were very few options and the options they had you can find anywhere. Nothing at all stood out. I ordered the wings- and get this 12 wings cost $18 how comically and unnecessarily expensive. The wings were a touch below mediocre, the side of bleu cheese was tiny and barely enough for 6 wings let alone 12. No flavor and blah. Domino's has better wings. Worst $18 i spent. The bartender had the personality of an eggplant, and her hair was about the same color as one. She wore the ugliest floral pants I've ever had the displeasure of noticing- but thats not important really. Just a candid observation. The machines had me thinking the joint should be renamed "Unlucky's"....I pissed away a few hundred bucks in their machines in no time flat. When leaving the awesome bartender said she "took care of" several drinks......um ok...where? Here's what i concluded from looking at my bill: #1- Had a few drinks during Happy hour, only 1 was charged HH price #2 Every drink we had was on the bill (wheres the comp for my play? My play certainly qualified for drink comps) #3 Any other bar i've gambled at actually DID comp my drinks while i nuked away cash. I have no interest in going out of my way to come back here- the experience was blah and the only fun thing about it was the VGK won the game. NEXT!

I ordered the Reuben and spam musubi as an appetizer they were decent the prices were also standard I would have paid 20 or so but I had an LVA coupon which comped most of the meal. Gaming quality is as usual bad but unfortunately normal for most gaming bars which is less than 97% return video poker. At the very least the players club is good another Jett gaming run club which gives $20 free play as a welcome offer, points and various free plays promotions while actively playing. As far as the service goes it was good for the most part they took my coupon, made me a card, were attentive and changed the TV channel to the game I wanted to watch which I appreciated. It was just two things that rubbed me the wrong way. First when you cash out you don't get your cents on the ticket which I didn't want anyway but seems odd to not even ask. The second is I paid cash for my food bill in excess of what I owed the female bartender took it and said nothing to me just going to her other customers, I was still watching the game waiting for her to offer me my change but she never came back. I then told her I gave her $10 for what was a $4.50 bill or so and that I wanted her to keep the change as my tip anyway just making sure she hadn't accidentally locked it up then she asked "what do you want your $5 back?" In a condescending tone to which I said she could keep it but I wanted to make sure to tell her because she never said anything to me or even asked she just automatically took my change for her tip which is a very sleazy thing to do and made me feel like I was being hustled by this broad. I've never experienced that at any bar or restaurant the polite thing to do is at least ask. Overall it's an ok bar I believe there are a lot of better options even in that area but it wouldn't hurt to stop by. Personally I wouldn't visit again unless promotions and mailers made it worth it to do so.

They had some stuff I haven't tried so figured it would be neat to check out. The glassware, taps and wall appeared clean but glassware style and size options were lacking and no indication of when the lines were last cleaned. Would be nice to have some 5oz "taster" glasses as an option at the least. Also, no offer of instruction on how to pour the beer (although I'm well versed in the proper pour) didn't inspire confidence that people weren't reusing glasses or touching the spouts while pouring. Beer didn't pour well on most taps, and one of the kegs kicked leaving me with a bunch of foam. Beer prices were a little high per ounce compared to a pint around town, but the fact you can pour almost any size pour means you'll pay a little extra. Options were decent with some beers I've not seen elsewhere in town. Overall, it's not a spot I'd visit again unless there was some special beer I couldn't find anywhere else in the city.

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.

When Great American Pub first opened, it was fantastic -- solid food, good vibes, and most importantly, exceptional staff. Ryan, the manager, and Sunshine, the bartender, were the heart and soul of this place. They were welcoming, professional, fun, and actually made you want to be there. You didn't just feel like a customer -- you felt like a regular. Then corporate changes started rolling in. The menu was changed... and then changed again... and each time it got worse. Food quality and options went downhill fast. But people (myself included) still came because Ryan and Sunshine made the experience worth it. Then Ryan was suddenly moved to another location. Huge loss. At that point, Sunshine was the ONLY reason many of us still came. She had a following for a reason -- she is hands-down one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. Friendly, attentive, remembers people, builds community. The kind of person who is the brand. And then, right before Christmas, she was effectively removed as well -- shuffled into an "on-call" role bouncing between locations. That was the final nail in the coffin. Now? The food is bad. The atmosphere is off. The new management has completely missed the mark. And the soul of this place is gone. I don't go anymore -- and neither do a LOT of regulars. We follow Sunshine wherever she is because she is the experience. This bar lost its neighborhood when it lost its people. If corporate is paying attention: Bring Sunshine back. And take a hard look at why the best people keep disappearing while the product keeps getting worse. This place used to be special. Now it's just another example of how to lose a loyal customer base by pushing out the very people who made it work in the first place.
