I'm really sad this shop doesn't have more reviews! The inside is really spacious and clean, and the crane machines give something fun to do without making a lot of noise. There's a lot of seating and outlets, so it would definitely be good as a study spot. The service was pretty fast with no issues ordering! I normally take a hot minute to decide, and I appreciate that they were acommodating. For the drink, I got the matcha horchata this time around at 50% sweetness. The matcha is pretty strong, but it doesn't overpower the horchata at all. However, the horchata is a little mild in taste in my opinion, but it's still lovely! Lots of weekday BOGO deals, Happy Hour deals as well. It's located in a small, but long plaza, if that makes any sense, along the side of a busy road. We came by here to grab some boba before sneaking it into the theaters. There's signs in front pointing to the boba place and their lucky cat mascot is pretty cute. Some crane and other games are inside and lots of tables and space to sit and hang out or to study or work on something. They also sell Labubus and other blind boxes if that's your poison. In order to purchase the BOGOs you have to order with staff, but any other order you can do through the cashier. It also only applies to the regular sized drinks too. We were there at 6 PM on a Tuesday and sadly aside from like 2 things, most of their food items were already sold out. For our order we got the: 1) Coffee Ice Blended: -Got this at 0% sweet and with coconut flavor mixed in. -Very dense due to the low level of sugar, but a nice dessert drink that isn't too sweet. 2) Kumquat Green Tea: -I got this at 25% barely sweet. -Nice and refreshing tea to sip on, not too tart. Went great at this sweetness level. 3) Peach/Mango/Strawberry Green Tea: -We got this at 0% sweetness and less ice. Definitely tastes like an amalgamation of syrups Frankensteined together. Parking is never an issue so that's a huge plus for me. I love that they always have something new to check out- it keeps things fresh. My favorites: - strawberry matcha + coffee jelly - brown sugar milk tea + boba - ube horchata + crystal boba - lemon black tea + mango stars. I get 50-75% sweetness here since I can't drink too sweet. Love that they offer oat milk and non-dairy options. They also offer seasonal/limited-time drinks sometimes and I never regret trying them. Sweet potato fries are DELISH (both plain and BBQ flavored); gyozas are also yummy. Great portions. They do sell the trendy blind boxes but their claw machines are my weakness!! Prizes are swapped out often so there's always something cute to win. I've built up a cute lil collection of tiny plushies and bag charms. (Tip: buy 10 tokens for the price of 9!) Adorable lucky cat themed cafe found on Azusa Ave near the freeway. If you need a moderately quiet, spacious and serene cafe to study at, this is the place to go. I loved the wooden aesthetic of the seating area and the cushions are surprisingly comfortable. There are plenty of tables and chairs for the convenience of the customers. The staff were welcoming and sweet. The internet is also really fast for a cafe / boba shop. Moving on to the drink, I ordered an ube horchata with coffee jelly. The ube and the cinnamon flavor of the horchata blended together beautifully. I got 75% sweetness and that was the perfect sweetness. Also they have a screen to order for all my introverts out there. Lucky Tea Co (West Covina) is a textbook example of a hidden gem. I arrived at Lucky Tea Co (West Covina) on Friday (around 7PM). I ordered the Ube Horchata ($5) with Boba (additional 50 cents). Customers are expected to use the electronic self-service kiosk to order. The beverage tasted refreshing. I enjoyed the fresh horchata and ube flavors. The ingredients are good quality, and they're prepared well. The weak-point is the boba. Although the boba were warm and tasty, the texture was below average. The boba had that delightful syrupy sweetness, but the boba pearls broke too easily like doughy mochi balls. Other than that, everything else was very fresh. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Staff welcomed customers quickly, and staff always smiled. Staff worked quickly. The drink was prepared in three minutes and 19 seconds. As mentioned prior, the ambiance is extremely charming and enchanting. The location is very clean. The soft, cheerful, upbeat music was very relaxing. And the interior is reminiscent of a secret upscale cafe. Lucky Tea Co (West Covina) is absolutely a hidden gem. The drinks are affordable and refreshing. The interior is cozy and clean. Grand opening today and wanted to try it out - not a lot of boba places near me. Walked in and nice and spacious. Took a while to order coz there was a big family in front of us. Finally ordered and got the avocado iced blended and hubs got the thai tea iced blended. Got some cookies too. Honestly? It's just ok. The avocado didn't taste like avocado. I was a little sad. Went during soft opening! 3/12 around 6pm. Wasn't busy. Friendly staff. Can order at kiosk too. Grand opening on 3/15 at 10AM! Super spacious inside and they have a few drink options to choose from. (Saw that they added claw machines revealing!). There were also group games/board games at the bottom level of their decoration shelf. You can adjust sweetness level, ice level, and upgrade to a larger cup size. Wish they have a no ice option too. I love that they don't charge extra for a different milk substitute! One cool thing about them is the mango jellies and strawberry jellies! I need to try the mango next time! I love the service as well, whenever I come in the staff greets me and they are patient when I'm indecisive on what to get. I love coming here while getting some work done the ambiance is great. This review is for the customer service. My friend and I came here on Halloween afternoon. The store was empty with a worker on her laptop. At no point did she greet us or even glance up at us. She just sat there on her laptop with her back towards us. She eventually got up and went behind the glass where we couldn't really see her. We were ready to order and nothing. We then realized there's a screen to order from. There were no signs and the worker could have at least told us to order from the screen. We ordered seven drinks. At some point two other workers walked in. Our name was called for the drinks and it wasn't until we were halfway out the door that one of the girls said "have a good day". This experience is too bad because the drinks were tasty. I get that a lot of places have order screens but considering the fact that there was absolutely no one else there and the girl couldn't be bothered to even say hello looks really bad, especially for a new business.
