I came to Bobaland in West Covina expecting good drinks, but honestly... the seasoned fries completely stole the show. Let's start with the obvious, the fries. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and coated in this perfectly balanced seasoning that hits savory, slightly salty, and just a little addictive. You know those fries you keep reaching for even when you're full? Yeah, those. I'd come back for these alone. The drinks were solid too, refreshing and nicely made, with a good variety to choose from. But if I'm being real, I barely paid attention once those fries hit the table. The vibe inside is chill and a great spot to hang out with friends. It's very small though with maybe three tables inside and a few chairs against the wall to sit in while you wait for your order. Not a big place so don't expect to fit with a stroller or anything like that lol. Service is usually quick, and everything comes out fresh. However, I have even there at times when it's busy and it can take up to 20 min to get your order so if you're in a hurry call and find out if you're going during their busy hours. Bottom line: come for the boba, but DO NOT skip the seasoned fries. That's the real star here. read more

This has to be one of the best boba places in town. Although I don't get actual boba I have before and it's really good. But i decided to try something different and got the strawberry swirl and it was delicious. So creamy and so perfectly sweet. The popcorn chicken is our favorite and def our go to for a snack. The season fries are delicious. They have a sweet and salty taste to them. My son isn't a big fan so I get him regular fries and he tears it up. Everyone there is so sweet. I ordered the Avocano ($7.95) at Bobaland (West Covina). The first sip tastes of finely crushed ice. The second sip tastes of soft, sweet avocado. The third sip tastes of supple, gentle, sweetened jellies. The Avocano is a pleasant drink that's creamy and cold with a whopping portion of fresh & sweet mashed avocado. The effort and careful creation of this beverage is visible and appreciated. I arrived at Bobaland (West Covina) on Wednesday (around 6:52PM). The location is difficult to find because it's small and plain. Thankfully, there's plenty of parking, and Bobaland (West Covina) is walking distance from the Regal Edwards Movie Theater. Staff is functional. Staff works hard, and staff are terse and focused. This hidden location is busy with high customer flow and phone call orders. I ordered the Avocano ($7.95). The drink was completed in eight minutes and 33 seconds. As mentioned, I genuinely enjoyed my Avocano. It contained good quality ingredients, and it felt fresh. The portion felt reasonable, and it quenched my thirst. The drink was not too sweet; rather, its flavors felt well-intentioned and properly measured. Unlike gimmick locations that skimp, Bobaland (West Covina) felt well-composed and high-quality. Concerning ambiance, Bobaland (West Covina) is extremely ugly. This place is the living embodiment of "don't judge a book by its cover." The walls have a nauseating haunted house yellow color; the furniture is plastic and uncomfortable; and its crevices are brown and harshly scuffed. Honestly, its ugly design is either very dated or it's intentional so it can dissuade any customers from lingering. Bobaland (West Covina) is also very small and tight. It's cramped, and no music plays. There's just awkward silence. I also dislike how they have this one tiny trashcan with flaps which forces you to always touch its dingy top. On the positive side, the location is surprisingly well-ventilated. Its air smelled clean despite the strange strands of hairs underneath a few plastic tables. Also, the place offers many electric wall sockets (despite several of those sockets looking strangely brown and crusty). It even has wifi internet and password. To its credit, the one gender neutral restroom (for customers) was also very clean. Overall, I do recommend Bobaland (West Covina). Its appearance might be plain, cramped, and putrid; however, there's sincere care and love laced within those drinks. This local hidden gem is popular for good reason. 4.5 out of 5 read more

Three stars for a pretty average experience. I got a standard boba milk tea, and it was nice and refreshing, but nothing out of the ordinary. The location is convenient if you are visiting The Stkr Store in the same plaza, making it an easy place to pop into for a quick drink, but it doesn't really blow me away compared to other boba shops in the area. read more

I have to come back here! The flavors are amazing and the staff is so nice! They know how to deal with difficult customers (I watched it happen) and they fully understand what customers want! The shop is so cute and there's a tv menu for people to look at before they get in line IF NEEDED! The chairs are set up and it's colorful and very nice! We came here after the bar flooded so not only are they open late but they save the night! We had a group of friends that went to Bobaland and it was a great way to end the night for all of us! Came by here for a tea fix. It was a bit hard to find since the store front is small, but look for the bright yellow wall! There are not a lot of seats here (seating for maybe 10) and it's a very narrow shop, so it's more of a takeaway place. Honestly if you are claustrophobic, you might be uncomfortable spending a long time here. I picked up a couple drinks: * Mango Swirl with boba * Lychee green tea with crystal boba - I liked that the drink included a couple actual Lychee fruits in it! The teas we tried were good! Good level of sweetness, although I requested the green tea at 75% for the hubby since most of the time, most places are on the sweeter side. I really enjoy Bobaland's drinks. Their drinks are well made and don't need any substitutions to make it taste good. My go to is their brown sugar fresh milk boba with cheese cream. The service is fast and the workers are friendly. The ambiance is nice, cute and modern. There are a decent amount of tables inside or chairs near the hallway while you wait for your drink. I highly recommend the caramel boba! Plenty of parking in their parking lot. read more

Wifey and I got the Lala Fruit Tea and the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea. Both drinks were out in about 5 minutes after we ordered! The drinks were refreshing with good flavors and a balance of sweetness. Overall, this spot satisfies the boba cravings forsure. They are also open until midnight which makes it a great option for a late night boba run. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the drinks & food came out at Bobaland. My friends and I decided to come here because it was the only boba spot open late and I was so happy to discover this gem! The drinks were quite delicious & the food was so flavorful. The fries & popcorn chicken were crispy & flavorful. The fries kinda reminded me of Potato Corner (the French fry place in the Santa Anita mall or Glendale mall... SO flavorful and delicious). A cool little spot for sure. We were there the day after Thanksgiving and just randomly spotted the sign outside while we were looking for something else. This one is just about as much of a hole in the wall as you're going to find, but the interior is bright and cheery, as are the servers. We ordered Lychee Tea, a signature Avocado drink with coffee jelly, and a mango swirl. The cups were cute, the drinks themselves were very pretty, flavor wise they were fine. I enjoyed the tea more than the other two, though they tasted like you would expect them to. A quick verdict would be: flavors are what you expect, service is quick and very friendly, not a standout location but good enough for a craving if you happen to be nearby. read more

I was looking for any Boba place that open late to order some refreshing drinks after a long day at work. Fortunately, I found out that  Bobaland open until midnight, Horray! I placed the following drinks for delivery; -white peach oolong tea - Chocolate Swirl - Lala fruit tea - crème Brulée Thai Tea - Fish Balls for a quick snack (It was really good) The chocolate swirl was rich, right sweetness and delicious. The crème brulèe was very refreshing, one of the best Thai tea I had ever tried. The white peach oolong tea had floral taste combined with the delicacy of white peach. Finally the Lala fruit tea was flavorful and fruity. It had watermelon, 2 slices of lemon, 1slice of orange. These drinks were the perfect answer to my craving. Been here a few times over the last year -- it's a small and cute place. I got their Roasted Oolong Boba Milk Tea and it was pretty decent! I'd say definitely be patient with the staff there because they're not overly welcome but will get the job done well. I also quite like their fruit and fresh teas because they include fresh fruit in their drinks! Glad that there's a conveniently located milk tea shop around! They are open late and very busy. Place is small, clean, and plenty of parking. Staff is friendly and quick. Prices are good too. Usually get the taro smoothie with some boba, bubble waffle, or popcorn chicken. Nice place to visit if you have a late nite craving. read more

The roasted oolong milk tea was just okay but I did not like the boba. It's caramel boba and not your typical brown sugar but it just tastes vaguely sweet. Texture is on the slightlt harder side. I find it weird that the sugar levels are 25%, 75% or 100% but no 50%. They said the machine doesn't have 50% but 25x2=50% no? The lemon yakult was very tart even at 100%. Yakult drinks at other places are very sweet. There is a good yakult flavor but the lemon and yakult flavors are not balanced. At an average of 6$ per drink, I would rather go elsewhere if available. They do open late so that's a plus. There are a handful of tables and some seats for waiting. It was completely empty on the Saturday night that I went. Parking was also plentiful since the nearby Businesses were closed. read more
