The LaLa Matcha was the perfect blend of bitterness, sweet, and aromatic. Not too sweet, and flavorful. The Roasted Oolong Milk Tea was 75% sweet and that was very sweet so if it was 50% or maybe 25% it would have been more balanced. They also don't have 50% sugar so that's something I wish they could do because this is the first place I've been that hasn't provided that option. read more

Very small and cozy boba shop located in a strip mall. They got what most boba shops have and more. Tried their popcorn chicken and teas. They were decent and delicious. Price is average. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely will come again for late snacking. 4.3 out of 5 in my book. read more

I love how this place is opened late. It's a super small boba shop across edwards theater. I was craving some popcorn chicken late at night and gave this place a call to see if their kitchen was open. The guy who picked up the phone was super friendly and let us order over the phone for pick up before their kitchen closed! Their kitchen closes at 11:30 pm! I got the strawberry cheese foam and a fruit tea. I love their strawberry drink and the sweetness for it was perfect. The popcorn chicken was also surprisingly really good. There was no seasoning but the chicken itself was super juicy. I wasn't a big fan of the egg waffle here. read more

It wasn't the best boba place, but I enjoyed what I ordered (Chocolate Cheese & Oreo). It was my first time trying cheese foam, and I loved it. My son and I tried this place for the first time by surprise from my sister in law! We tried boba milk tea which was Amazing!!!!!! We also tried the popcorn chicken, which I totally recommend! Very small shop but has my extra brownie points bc of its cute yellow interior. I got their creme brûlée Thai tea with boba which came out to around $7. It had that nice tornado effect but it was sickeningly sweet due to the amount of crème it had. Boba had a nice consistency and not too bland! Taste was ok but I couldn't finish bc it was getting too sweet for me. Also workers were standoffish, seemed like they didn't really care for their customers. read more

Hole in the wall boba shop located in the strip shopping center. The employee was nice and offered suggestions. I tried the Lala matcha and my hubby had the ceylon milk tea with tiramisu cream. My drink was good I loved the flavor of the matcha but the white part that was swirled with tasted expectedly.. cheesy? I don't know how to describe it. The drink was stunning though with the swirls. The ceylon milk tea was amazing. The boba was fresh and chewy and the tiramisu cream was soo good. Net time I'll try the creme brulee Thai tea. read more

I finally got a chance to try this place out. Been wanting to come. I order my usual. Thai tea. No sugar. No boba. Before I finish, let me say that service here is really good. I'd definitely come back. Young guy helped me out. This location is very small. I almost missed it. Small but it has a cozy feel to it. Big menu. Something for everyone. Price was fair. My thai tea was bomb! Just how I like it. Definitely coming back to try other flavors. What made my visit special is that it was raining and I was chillin on their outdoor bench. Enjoying the rail. Behind the Edward's Regal cinema is bobaland. They sell chicken and boba. I ordered a strawberry yogurt smoothie. It was very sugary tasted almost like plain syrup. The wait took a while but overall it was worth it. They offer indoor seating and have restrooms. read more

It's Friday let's partea. Bobaland is a cute small bubble tea shop in downtown West Covina. From the outside it looks simple but once you've entered you'll find yourself in an Alice in wonderland atmosphere. Came here on a late Friday night to cool off from the warm heat wave. Indoor layout and design was cute and modern. It's imbued by yellow from the chairs to their neon sign on the wall. I ordered a Mango smoothie and watermelon green tea. Both were perfectly made to my liking. Service was on point. Staff was polite and professional. Prices seem fair. Free wifi. Plenty of parking spot. Arrived at 10:30pm to order food and drinks, we tried to order food but they said they stopped serving food. And I asked what time they stop serving food. And the asian guy that works there said they only stopped serving at that moment because they saw a lot of group behind us walked in. I dont think that is right at all. They close at 12am. The boba was actually really soft. I ordered the strawberry green tea and they actually have bits of strawberries in the drink. My husband got hot taro milk tea. He asked for 25% sugar level but it still tasted very sweet. It could be the taro powder is really sweet itself. Overall, not bad. Definitely will try again. read more

For drinks, we ordered the regular boba milk tea and the oolong milk tea. The boba milk tea was okay. The tea flavor wasn't as strong as I'd prefer for it to be. On the other hand, the oolong milk tea had a strong tea flavor, was really good and the creaminess blended well with the tea. We also ordered popcorn chicken and their flavored fries. We asked for the chicken to be extra spicy, which it was. The food was delicious and it was made to order. The service was good. The cashier was kind and patient. There were three tables and a few chairs inside the shop. If you're looking for boba and some snacks without having to drive all the way to San Gabriel, I would recommend! read more

This was such a surprise find! It's pretty small and easy to miss but definitely worth the search I ended up getting the mango smoothie + cheese foam, I've never tried the cheese foam and it was such a creamy add to the refreshing smoothie. Attention all Boba lovers, you must come here for the bestttt freshly made bobas, fruits tea and popcorn chicken. The boba is so soft and chewy. Their fruits tea is very fresh and new made. Stumble across this place when I was looking an alternative boba place that had food since Ice Bar down the street, kitchen was down. Seems like a new boba place that just opened yesterday and thought to give it a go. Had ordered a couple drinks and some snacks to go along. Waited for both the drinks and boba probably the longest we ever had to wait. Mind you the place has no one else around and still manage to have such a long wait for both. However I still have them the benefit of the doubt and allowed for them to "take their time" since they just had their grand opening. Upon receiving our drinks I soon realized that the strawberry green tea I ordered had a huge gap between the drink and the cap itself. Even without asking for less ice. So I don't see the reason for the gap being there. Finally the food came through after nearly 20+ minutes later... Popcorn chicken was oddly dark like as if they don't change their oil to cook their chicken in, despite only to have had their grand opening yesterday. Which you would think they would have "better/clean" oil to cook their food in. When I went to go take a sip of the drink the only thing I can think of is where's the sugar? I know I asked for less sugar 75% but the whole drink taste like straight up WATER. All three drinks all taste like water and the only thing to give it a kick was either the cheese foam or the crystal boba. So in the end I just bought myself $5-6 cup of water with toppings. At this point I would just advise you to go else where for your boba cravings because this place is just not it. read more

Good amount of smoothie selections but not all available on opening hours. Went twice upon opening for avocado smoothie and guy says to wait after 4pm for avocado delivery. Menu prices are simple and reasonably listed at $3.59 across board. However after up-charge of $0.60 for large size, $0.50 for boba topping and taxes, one drink rang up to $5.25. Boba here are the smaller size ones and on soft side. Smoothie had good texture. read more

Alright, so I decided to give the roasted oolong milk tea with caramel boba a whirl at Bobaland, and hot dang, what a rollercoaster of flavors! The boba was like a burst of freshness wrapped in a warm hug - that chewy goodness? Chef's kiss. And the oolong tea? Cute little boba shop! My friend and I needed a drink after slurping down salty bowls of pho nearby. I ordered the lavender milk tea with white boba. The lavender flavor was extremely fragrant! I love a good flower tea. The drink was overwhelmingly sweet though. I asked for 25% sugar, but I think the employee may have switched my sugar level with my friend's, who had ordered her drink at 100%. I couldn't stand how sweet my drink was, and my friend thought her drink tasted like nothing, so we switched! My friend loved my lavender milk tea and was really excited about the white boba. She'd never had it before and was pleasantly surprised by this new discovery. I ended up drinking my friend's jasmine milk tea. She thought it tasted like water, but it was perfect for me. We ordered a jasmine milk tea and a boba milk tea. Prices are pretty cheap, and teas were decent. Boba milk tea: The boba was soft and chewy, but bland. I'm used to my bobas being slightly sweet, so that was a bit strange for me. Milk tea was good, but a tad too sweet. Jasmine milk tea: A bit too sweet for me, so I'll likely cut down the sugar next time I order this again, but it was decent. I could taste the jasmine flavors. Overall, not the best teas and boba, but for the price, it's good compared to other places that have boba at this price. read more

My fruit tea was good but it could have been just a tad bit sweeter, I opted for 75% sugar. Strawberry smoothie I could taste the strawberries. As for the popcorn chicken I liked it & liked the kick it had, I wish there was basil in it as most popcorn chicken that I've had usually has basil as a garnish. Priced reasonably & would return to Bobaland. The drinks were nice & cold & the coldness held up since I drove down to the OC. read more

Really don't want to do this since it's a good spot of mine to get late boba, but went on Friday night around 9pm, got popcorn chicken and 2 x green milk tea. Extra one for my brother but he passed on the popcorn chicken since he had a big dinner. Lucky him cuz that same night, I was beginning to have bloating and burping (with the lingering taste and smell of the oily popcorn chicken aftertaste), woke up next morning nauseous and proceeded to constant diarrhea and vomiting the whole day. Then high fever through out the day and night with joint pains. The discomfort was so awful, felt like stomach was being squeezed and burned at the same time. Couldn't eat and was bedridden for 2 days the whole weekend. Tho little bit better on Sunday but still not well enough to be active and scrapped plans for my wedding anniversary with my wife. Who took cared of me the weekend instead. Electrolyte water was key, helped a lot. After some mental clarity I begin to trace back and thought might also be something I ate for dinner prior, but my wife had the same thing for dinner and she was totally fine, the only thing I've eaten and one else, all While can still taste in mouth through the fiasco was the popcorn chicken. So, just posting this as a friendly reminder to be mindful, just in case. I might still go back for the boba, drinks are good, but no more possible contaminated food late at night read more

I am super picky with boba drinks but this place has surprisingly impressed me. Their milk teas are very delicious and have a wonderful fragrance to it. I am also addicted to their popcorn chicken too. The decor in here is very fun. The service is always pleasant as well. It's such a quaint little spot. I went to Bobaland and ordered the house brown sugar milk tea with caramel boba, lala matcha with caramel boba, watermelon green tea, and a golden oolong tea with cheese. I drank the lala matcha, so I can only really comment on that, but my brother didn't complain about the brown sugar milk tea, so it probably tasted good. However the lala matcha tasted strange, I'm used to really strong matcha drinks, but this wasn't it. Now maybe I'm just not used to the cheese flavor in the drink, and that was the flavor. But to me it tasted strange. The boba however was pretty chewy, slightly inconsistent, but overall pretty good. read more

My order was shrimp tempura, mozzarella sticks with no seasoning, two large mango teas, and one large black tea. When we got home, I noticed the shrimp tempura had no dipping sauce, and instead of mozzarella sticks, we were given potstickers. I called the store immediately and was told I needed to return the potstickers to receive the mozzarella sticks. I explained that I was no longer in the area and asked what could be done. I was then told to save the potstickers and bring them back the next time I came in so they could give me the mozzarella sticks. Since I don't like potstickers, I ended up throwing them away. I feel the situation could have been handled much better by management. Should have learned my lesson 10yrs ago when the same thing happened here.
